You, Me and the Sea

Good evening all, been so busy the last few days as our grandchildren were staying with us. A good time had by all I can report, although  tiring of course lol.    Sorry I was late commenting this week,  but that is my excuse.Brief comments too  alas as I also cut my hand (see below).   Trying to catch up with so much 'stuff' now. Here is my usual 'Less is More' card, it's the dreaded 'one layer card' too yikes! 
I was thinking 'wave' and 'sea' for the 'curve' theme. Should have turned the card sideways  really for the 'sea' but I preferred it this way. So going with big wave of water ;)
Back soon I hope,  have a very Happy Easter.

ps. I stupidly cut my palm with a very sharp pointy  knife today, very deep but little cut luckily .....ouchy!!

Something Positive card

Hi friends,yes it's me again with another card for 'LIM'. I just can't stop making them this  week for some reason ! Even though it's the dreaded 'one layer' card, what's going on lol?
I have my usual Flower Challenge reminder  one to share tomorrow  but then  guess  what.....yes I think I may have yet another one for 'LIM' ............I know!!!!
( runs to kitchen as I now realise I have  scones cooking and they smell cooked)...phew  they were ok I am pleased  to report. Does  anyone else get lost in thought when  doing posts lol?   Mmm the smell of those yummy scones..... not helping me stick to losing weight....must  resist!!! I made them for my son's family,  the littlies so love my scones ;)
My OH is putting the finishing touches to his model church and it looks amazing!!! he is doing roofing and stone masonry atm. he he.

I LoveYou card

Good morning friends, I hope you are enjoying the first signs of Spring for those in the UK. It's so lovely to see the all the Spring flowers out just now.     We have snowdrops, primroses and daffodils  peeping through in our garden just now. I do love  to see carpets of snowdrops, it fair gladdens the  heart  as they say ;)      I am here to share another card for the  'Less is More' challenge once again. Yes it's the dreaded 'One layer' card lol and the theme is 'Leaves' this time.     I seem to be in a bit of  'blue' phase for making  cards recently lol....well it makes a change from  pink I guess ;) Ooh I see a new package has just been delivered...ooops so much for not buying  yet more craft stuff !!   Come and have a peek at my card and enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned ;) We are busy next week helping our son move house.     Yes it's only taken them 5 months to complete, (oh my!) so many hold ups but at least now they can enjoy their lovely new home. I am going to be sooo jealous of their fabulous kitchen too !

  I used the die as a stencil, hope the heart shaped  leaves do count as leaves ;) I used this PB sentiment  as it also had a heart. Then I remembered the little white flower pots I just bought for our newly  decorated front sun lounge. So  I used those as  props in the background when I realised they  too have a heart shape cut out. Happy days ;)    Also entering another challenge..... Happy Little Stampers March challenge  CAS -Die-cuts  (hope the die used as a stencil counts)

I seem to be in a 'blue' faze atm. lol.     Just had to make a card with this yummy  new stamp ! I bought this particular set because  of this flower alone...how many of us do  that ?

Here is my take on the challenge, blue and gold and very simple design. Hope you approve ;)

Good afternoon friends, another week has flown by I see. Does anyone else have a list of about a million jobs to do...or is it just me?      Here I am anyway posting my latest 'Less is More' challenge card once more. It's a theme this week and.......     "Something that goes  pop or bangs"     Oh my that had me scratching my head I can tell you lol ! My first effort ended up in that 'round' file yet again.      Here is my second effort, I went with  balloons this time. Enjoy your weekend  whatever you have planned ;)

April Showers

Good morning play mates, how are you today? Pouring down...rather wet here alas but hoping it will improve very soon ;)     I am back with another 'Less is More' challenge card. It's a 'theme' this time and.....

Blue Triangles card

Hello there friends, yes it's me again I am back with another 'LIM' challenge card! It has to be 'one layer' and the theme is...     'Geometric shapes and patterns'     It's a blue card this time and a bit of  stamping. I used 3 colours of ink and lined up the stamps to make a pattern.

Hmm still not sure about the triangles! I was going to go with two light ones and a  darker middle one. Then I thought, I do like  odd numbers.....so 3 darker ones.

I do like the large sentiment over them all at least. Anyway it finished so that's that ;) I added a few sequins.........I do love a  few random sequins lol as you may  have noticed!

ps. Oh dear!! I keep trying to make shorter  posts. I soo hate having to read long posts when all you want is to see the flippin' card.

I will try harder not to ramble....I will I will! I am feeling better anyway, thanks for all the lovely good wishes ;)      Our Hotpoint fire hazard death trap of a  tumble dryer was collected today at long last.  Thank heavens, what a faff ! Now ordered  another one....not a Hotpoint !!!!! Not  from Hughes either....who didn't want to know.

Good afternoon friends, I hope all is well  with you. Sunny here atm. but showers keep appearing too.     Today I have another 'Less is More'  card to share with you again. The challenge this week is....     'White space but not WHITE'     I hope this is ok for LIM, if not please delete my entry. I went with a blue/purple watercolour background and a simple  flower and sentiment.     Anyway I did have fun making this one. I had an idea in my mind and finally got to make the card today after another  hectic week. See you soon ;)     ps. I may even frame this one as it exactly matches  our new watercolour look cushions and bright painting ;)

The tiny dots are silver, nice and shiny irl too.

Good evening friends, just popping in to show you my last card for this week's 'Less is More' challenge. We have to 'Use some Wire'  this time.


I found some lovely navy coloured wire in my stash so went with a blue theme this time. Thanks for dropping by I hope to see you again soon ;)

ps. It's our grandson's 4th birthday tomorrow. Our other grandson was 4 in Jan so they are almost the same age!      We are going to celebrate with him tomorrow,  can't wait. I made a quick digi page with his  photo and also a card, see them below the LIM  one.

I also have a new 'Spring' header, hope you like  it. I am thinking of changing it every week now so look out for another soon ;)

Thinking of You Green Ombre card

Just a quick post for a change. I made this card for a dear friend, then disaster struck! I had just finished photographing it and I saw a watermark had suddenly appeared at the very edge half  way down :(  You can't see it here....it happened a couple of minutes later.     I think it was the white tak stuff I used to hold the card closed whilst taking a photo. Never had  that happen before. Anyway because of where it  was I was unable to hide it.       I was most annoyed as I had taken so much  care over making it (sob sob). Never mind I made another one which was much simpler and more my style. I will show you that another time.       Happy crafting my lovely friends ;)

Blue Happy Birthday card

Good afternoon friends, it's a lovely sunny day here today. So pleased that Summer has arrived at last.     Lots of days at the beach now I think, ....our  favourite place to be ;) I hope you all have  good weather too wherever you are in the world. Also hugs for all who need them too!       I have another 'Less is More' card to share with  you today again. It's 'one layer' card week this  time and the theme is .......       MASCULINE         Oh my!!!! panic stations.....the two things I  hate the most!! My first effort started out not too badly..........BUT it all went steadily  downhill after that , it ended up in the 'round'  file of  course.         This was my second effort, I seem to be liking  blue atm. Anyway come and have a closer look if you dare lol!       Have a lovely weekend whatever you have  planned. We are seeing our new granddaughter  yet again and helping the parents out. I am  cooking Sunday lunch again so a busy time for me as usual  ;)

Blue Art Deco card

Good afternoon friends, I hope you are all having a great day.  Today I have another Art Deco  card to share with you again.        I also have another two cards Art Deco cards to share  very soon also. I just cannot stop making this  type  of card now for some reason......what can I say lol !       Anyway come and have a closer look. I find A5 cards more difficult to photograph, and esp. this type of  fold too, so I have taken a few pics.       I used an engineering fold again.......at least that's what Mr Google tells me!        ps.
