LIM #437 card

Hi crafty friends, I hope all is well in your world today? I am back to share another card made for the 'Less is More' challenge again.

LIM are still celebrating their 10th birthday, ......still can't believe it's been going for 10 yrs WOW!!!

Thanks for  choosing my card for the showcase last month also.....that makes it 30 times now!

Anyway I made this quick card, they want us to make a one layer card and the theme this time is 'Flowers'...talk about right up my street lol !!!

Come and see my card and enjoy your week whatever you are up to...which probably isn't much if you are still in lockdown like us in the UK ;)

More cards very soon !

I used this gorgeous Alex Syberia digi called 'Clematis'.
I water coloured and used pencils on my image too.
The sentiment was computer generated.

Out of Focus card 2

Hi there friends, I am back with another quick card for the latest 'Less is More' challenge. Their theme is 'Out of Focus', this time I made a green flower card and watercolouring as usual ;)

I stamped my image and them moved the stamp and re-inked and then spritzed it with water before stamping to give an out of focus look.

Well that was the idea anyway lol, I think it kinda worked. Enjoy your day whatever you are up to ;)

Lots of cards!

Hi there friends, today I have lots of cards to share. My lovely team mate Rachel Vass from over at 'The Flower Challenge' is now designing her own range of digi stamps. How exciting is that! You can see them all HERE over at Etsy. So easy to colour too, I just adore them all.

Anyway Rachel kindly gave me some of them to play with and I really enjoyed colouring them all. I am not the best at using coloured pencils BUT having recently bought some fab Faber Castell Polychromos I decided to use these on some of the cards.

The first two cards were made using my usual watercolours btw. I do hope you check out all her amazing digi's as they so beautiful.

Here are all my cards below, I hope you like them ;)

The Flower Challenge #40 'Shaped Cards'

Hi there friends, my first cards of the new year! May I wish you all a very Healthy and Happy New Year too!

I am back with more DT cards for 'The Flower Challenge' again. This month our theme is one we have had before and 'Shaped cards'.

I went with a tag shape for my first card, I saw this lovely die set and loved the large tag die. For my second card I used an old Spellbinders die I have had for a while. I used it to cut a shape at the bottom of my card and also used it to add another shape to the top of my card also.

The gorgeous flower here is a digital one by Alex Syberia, isn't it just divine! Alex is sponsoring us this month and gave all of our DT one of her amazing digital images, (see them all HERE) to use on our cards this month.  She is giving our winner two of her digital images. Alex is also our Guest Designer this month too.

She is not only a great designer but a great card maker too, check out her beautiful card on our blog and all her others on Instagram. Ok here are my cards below, come and have a peek and do try and join in our challenge this month, you may win a prize again too ;)

Looking back at all my Flower Challenge DT cards from last year I have made a compilation of my favourite four. See them all below my two FC cards here. Some of our design team have also chosen their favourite four too, see them on their own blogs.

Alex Syberia digital flower Large Peony
Altenew sentiment
Altenew Deco Wonder stencil
Heartfelt Creations Album Tags & Accents
TH Distress inks
MFT Stitched rectangle die
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Glamour dust
N&T sequins

First I made my card base using my tag die, then I used my stencil and watercolours over a separate piece of card. I printed my flower after resizing it then coloured it using various shades of watercolour.

I stamped my sentiment and used my stitched die to cut it out, I edged it using a  matching colour. Then I mounted it on some silver card. I attached everything to my card base, added a bit of sparkle and after attaching a few sequins my card was complete.

Watercolour card
Alex Syberia digi stamp Large Peony
Altenew sentiment
Spellbinders Labels 2 dies
TH Stencil Flourish
TH Distress inks
Versafine Vintage Sepia ink
Little Things sequins

I made my card base then cut a piece out of the bottom using my die. I cut three more pieces of card using my dies. I used a stencil on one and coloured it to match my flower. Then I coloured my other die cut one using matching colours.
I resized and then stamped my flower and coloured it all. Next I stamped my sentiment, colouring the edge and attached it all to my card base, added a few sequins and my card was finished.
