Live Every Moment card

Hi there friends, I am back with another card for the 'Less is More' challenge again. This time it's 'Typography', ...hmm had to get my thinking cap on for that one. Anyway after a while inspiration dawned ! Been so busy making cards for future DT challenges I almost forgot to post this one too lol.
A big thank you to 'LIM' for choosing my card to be in their show case too ;)

Anyway here is my card, I used two stencils to make a water colour background and then added my bold sentiment.

Many thanks to my latest followers for choosing to follow me and welcome aboard! ...and of course I hope everyone enjoys their weekend whatever you have planned.

I made a few lemon cupcakes the other day...just had to add some pink smarties when I spotted them in the supermarket. Well you know me and pink lol!...the grandchildren loved them anyway ;)...pics below my card.

ps.We are moving everything out of our bedroom and decorating ahead of our new LVT floor being fitted on Monday. After the frantic kitchen upheaval recently (see earlier pics) this now seems like a breeze lol!
We had a leak on our new kitchen ceiling though, but as luck would have it the plumber was coming that day to fix a new radiator in and so fixed it....phew....and relax!

Ok enough waffle by me, come and see my card ;)

Love card

Hi there friends, I hope all is well in your world today? I am still very busy packing up our old kitchen, we have had some of our grandchildren staying also. Sorry I have got a bit behind leaving comments and posting cards lately but sometimes life just gets in the way doesn't  it!

Anyway I am back with my usual card for the latest 'Less is More' challenge again. It's a colour one this time and 'Tangerine, Aqua and White'.

Hmm not a colour combo I have used before I think, in the end this card just...erm... evolved lol!
I used a mask for my 'sun' and my sky is an unusual shade of turquoise but.... hey ho it's my world and I like the idea of a turquoise sky ;)

Btw. I blended with those cheap make up soft brushes which are a whole lot cheaper than the craft ones I see for sale...bargain! (Pics soon, along with my newest best buy a magnetic board)

I offset the sentiment die so a little turquoise peeped out under the white die. Hope you approve ;)

ps. It's my birthday today ...yipeee...and I spent it at the beach, eating ice-cream, fresh strawberries and raspberries. The weather was fabulous too...so happy! I got some beautiful cards and some lovely pressies too, I am one lucky lady me thinks ;)

Also a big welcome to my latest follower, welcome aboard and thanks for following me.

I hope to post pics of our recent trip to Cornwall very soon...I promise! Also pics of our recent 'magical' themed family party.

Of course as always,....enjoy your week/weekend whatever you have planned ;)...I will be knee deep in boxes (see pics below) and appliances as our new kitchen gets underway...more soon!

LIM Guest Designer card #399 Celebrations

Hi there friends, I am back with my usual card for the 'Less is More' challenge again. This time I am lucky to be their guest designer too. I was so thrilled to win their monthly prize also, thanks to 'LIM' for choosing me ;)

Anyway back to my card, their theme is 'Celebrations' this time. It's an easy one so I hope you will all try and join in.

I faffed about a bit and wasn't happy with my first attempt at a card, using watercolouring. Sometimes things just don't go right do they?  after a while I spied this alcohol ink panel I had made a while ago and decided to cut it up and use it on my card...result! I added a gold celebrate sentiment strip, a few sequins and my card was finished.

Enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)

Black Rose card

Hi there friends, just popping in with another card for the 'Less is More' challenge again. This time it's a sketch, looks easy but I was fresh out of ideas this time. Luckily this simple idea jumped in my head after a lot of time just looking at stamps etc.

I just stamped my image then die cut  it into 4 pieces then added the sentiment...and job done!

It's warmer here today and we are enjoying a bit of sun again,....enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned, we are swimming again ;)

ps. Sharing a few pics of some of the food I made for our recent family party below. The choc, raspberry, strawberry pavlova went down very well....too well infact everyone had 2 helping and was stuffed lol!

Ahem and yes I did throw all sorts of chocolate on top lol.....well our daughter said yes just go for it when I asked her about which chocolate to add. Also a mahoosive flan ...12" (new recipe and new quiche tin.....liking it too) oh and a coffee cake for our son's birthday.

Sorry if this has left you feeling hungry now too ;)

Olive & Tangerine card

Hi there friends, ....phew it ain't half hot here......still 27c late at night. Oh well must make the best of it while it lasts I guess ;)

I have another card to share made for the 'Less is More' challenge once again. This time it's a colour one and 'Olive and Tangerine',.....not a colour combo I have ever tried I think !

I had simply no idea what to make so I just looked through my stamps and dies for inspiration. It's what I always do....sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't lol. ;)

Anyway it wasn't long before I came across this poppies die  and thought....orange poppies yeeeah. I cut the bottom half with white card then coloured it with an olive  marker. I used some olive type ink and a stencil to add interest behind my image and job done!

I also used these amazing clear crystal gems I recently bought, they are like little pyramids and sooo sparkly....I just love them !!...I added a little orange pearl too for colour ;)

I have been busy lately decorating little peg dolls for our two...yes TWO dolls houses my OH bought very cheaply from our local tip who now have a shop. We had to paint one and do a lot inside one of them but the other was just perfect. Anyway will post pics soon of it all....and my OH has been making more little minature houses too he he !...pics to follow soon ;)

Sorry for the rambling post...come and see my card ;)

Holly card

Hi there friends, brrr it's a chilly day here today!
Lots of frost about this morning, feels like Winter
is here already.

Thank you all for your good wishes, after almost 3
weeks I am pleased to say I am feeling much better
at long last.

Dying to make cards again too of course so here is
my latest card for this weeks 'Less is More'
challenge. It's a recipe this time and 'Let it Shine'.

I decided to make a Christmas card, I think  it looks
shiny enough. I used some silver Mirri card for the
die and I embossed the sentiment in silver too.
A sprinkling of shiny sequins and my card was
 complete.

I really must try and make some more Xmas
cards ! I have made a quick batch of digital
ones to send as it really does my head in trying
to make so many Xmas cards now. I added some
glitter too, so they do look good enough I hope.

Anyway enjoy your weekend whatever you have
planned. I am mostly relaxing this time ;)

ps. I am using an old header above I made ages ago
with a very old photo of me in it. I don't look like
that now though of course 'wink' !
