Blue Ombre card

Hi there, just a quick post today to show you another 'Less is More' card. It's a colour challenge this time  and  'Ombre'.   Here is my second card, I went for a blue & black option this time.
I used my enamel accents to make the dots, need to  practise more with these yet though.

Ombre Celebrate card

  Hi friends, here is a card for the 'Less is More' challenge. This week is has to be an 'Ombre' one.   I used two shades of blue Distress ink and one of pink. Thought I would try out my new die too, think I may just love it! A few watercolour splatters for the  background and job done !     Enjoy your week and see you soon ;)

Flourish card

Good afternoon friends, I have another 'Less is More' card to share with you today.     It's 'one layer' card week and the theme   is .....     Flourish     I decided to make the flourish the main focal point. The card is an ombre one, shaded softly in pink at the bottom. So hard to see in this light though, hate  these grey days.     I used an old stamp I have had for a  while now. I used some distress ink and my  waterpen to add some soft watercolour.       I thought texture would be  good too. I used glue and some frantage. I didn't heat emboss as I wanted to  keep the texture. Odd I know but it seemed to work!     I also used some Diamond dust and  glamour dust also. I made the card a small one 4"x 4 1/2", again to keep the main image prominent.       Enjoy your weekend whatever you have  planned. I have new craft goodies just  arrived today so I plan to be mostly  making cards  I think ;)       ps. Still trying to get my photographs the  right size grrr! I have to use 'large' as Extra large is too wide for my blog. I am  experimenting using pixel size instead and then original size. (No that was too large)       If you click on the photo you can see it larger too. I really want them portrait and not landscape but as I use a tripod I have to crop instead.     What size do you all use to post your  photographs? maybe I will redo my blog layout, watch this space lol.       UPDATE!  Think I have sorted it now, altered a lot of things on my blog to make it simpler. Removed and moved things too, hope you all approve ;)

Hoppy 70th !

Good afternoon all, hope you are enjoying your weekend ;)   We were babysitting yesterday so I had to wait until today to make my latest  "Less is More" card. The theme this week is......     NUMBERS     My mojo seems to be missing today, I have searched and searched but no luck!     After a while here's what I came up with, hmmm.....I may make another !!!

Green Ombre Sympathy card

Good afternoon friends, such a warm sunny day here too. I hope it will be a nice October.


Just stopping by to show you this sympathy  card. Sadly I have had to make far too many of these lately.

I have heard of five deaths in the last two  weeks ! First my elderly neighbour lost her  dear husband. Then a good crafting friend lost her lovely husband.      Then my SIL lost a close friend in an  accident. My DIL lost her granddad. Then  a couple of days ago my closest oldest  friend lost her husband very suddenly.     I hope that is all for now, my heart goes out to all their poor relatives & friends.

Anyway come and  see my card, it seems to be my 'go to' card now for sympathy cards. I find black too harsh and depressing.     I hope the recipients liked them too and  found comfort in the wording. I always try and say something uplifting....... and can only hope it helps a little. I used the green ombre colour on the  insert too btw.

Thinking of You Green Ombre card

Just a quick post for a change. I made this card for a dear friend, then disaster struck! I had just finished photographing it and I saw a watermark had suddenly appeared at the very edge half  way down :(  You can't see it here....it happened a couple of minutes later.     I think it was the white tak stuff I used to hold the card closed whilst taking a photo. Never had  that happen before. Anyway because of where it  was I was unable to hide it.       I was most annoyed as I had taken so much  care over making it (sob sob). Never mind I made another one which was much simpler and more my style. I will show you that another time.       Happy crafting my lovely friends ;)

Unforgettable card

Good afternoon friends. Just popping by to  show you another quick card today.  
 Just back from the dentist today,  not that keen on going like many others. Few problems but not as bad  as I thought thank heavens !!     We still have  a nest of Bumble bees nesting  behind our facia beside our bedroom.  Bombus Hypnorum to be exact,a protected  species. I do want to help bees as they are  in decline I know.      Our garden is perfect for wildlife  ( the insect kind lol), so no wonder they picked  us!  But the constant buzz buzz, ( more like morse code really) is annoying.      They keep us awake at night and in the  morning too. Getting more used to it I guess now though. They get very noisy at 2.30 am.  for some reason. Hope they buzz off soon!!!       Anyway enough rambling yet again....sorry!!! Come and have a closer look at my card ;)

Flamingo card

Good morning friends, it's a lovely warm and sunny day here today. I hope you all have it too.     Late with my Saturday 'Less is More' card as our son asked us to join them for a nice pub lunch and walk yesterday.Their  baby is  due any minute of course.      My DIL looks  amazing too. I suggested  names which they liked, no decision yet  though ;) Next Friday is the day she will arrive , unless it happens naturally before  then. She is breech atm. too still.       Such a  lovely day, anyway I have made my  card at  last! It's a colour challenge this  week and....     SUNSET     Of course sunset said pink to me lol. Well it would of course and everyone who knows  me won't be at all suprised !       I went for an Ombre look, pale shades of the  setting sun....well that's what it said to me anyway.        I wanted a watercolour look to my flamingo and tried my new Zig Clean color real brush pens. (HAD to get those when I saw them whilst blog hopping).....yes I know not easy on  the purse this blog hopping is it!!!       After much effort ( several coloured images) and  trying various mediums I  relented and had to use  my trusty Copic pens. The printed image didn't  like watercolour of  course.        Loving the new pens though so you will be seeing  more of them very soon. Sooo hard to open though,  my poor nails haven't  recovered yet...and I have  only opened 3 so far!!     Enough waffling from me again,come and have a  closer look ;) here is my card....

Apricot Ombre card

Hi friends, just popping in today to show you  another card. I love the 'Ombre' look so decided to make this quick card.      In shades of apricot for a change, well at least it isn't pink lol !!!!     Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday ;) Lots more cards to show you soon, as Arnold Schwarzenegger said..... "I will be back" ;)       ps. Thank you so much to everyone who asked about our son. He is healing nicely now, thank  heavens for pain killers he said too.

Misty Trees card

Hi everyone, another very quick post again. I have been making lots of digi cards today.     Mostly for friends or family, also for my  grandbabies too. Result..... I made  seven!!! why is it either lots of nothing at all ?     I can't believe Lana will be  one in December too....where has the time gone!!

Anyway in between making those I managed  another 'trees' one..... and another also in  progress  ;)


Yes I know....... it's simple but I quite like it ! I used some PP Ombre digi papers I had printed out a while ago in a very pale grey  colour.     Not sure you can  see here but it's light grey at the  bottom fading to white at the top.

I stamped my trees ( yes I know I know it's THAT  stamp again lol !!!)  using some Momento London  Fog ink. The sentiment was from part of a set,  stamped in the same grey ink.


Come and have a closer look........is it saying  'morning mist'  to you ??

Green Butterfly card

Good afternoon friends, the sun is peeping through here at last, hope you have it too !     It's Saturday again, they rush by so quickly don't they ? I have another 'Less is More' card to share with you  today.     This time it's......     'MOSTLY WORDS'       Going for a suble green card today, hope you like the  ombre effect.       ps. Been so busy sorting 'stuff ' in the house to either  go to auction or to charity this week.    Amazing how much 'stuff' you accumulate over the  years isn't it. Anyway most of it is going as we are  hoping to move house next year as I think you know.     I started on my craft room also.....gulp.....how did I  get such a lot of 'stuff'.....well you all know the answer  to that one I'm sure lol!     It's looking tidier  already and I even found enough  room to make a card !.........happy days ;) Enjoy your week everyone !
