Flamingo card

Good morning friends, it's a lovely warm
and sunny day here today. I hope you all
have it too.

Late with my Saturday 'Less is More' card
as our son asked us to join them for a nice
pub lunch and walk yesterday.Their  baby is
 due any minute of course.

My DIL looks  amazing too. I suggested
names which they liked, no decision yet
though ;) Next Friday is the day she will
arrive , unless it happens naturally before
then. She is breech atm. too still.

Such a  lovely day, anyway I have made my
card at  last! It's a colour challenge this
week and....

SUNSET

Of course sunset said pink to me lol. Well
it would of course and everyone who knows
me won't be at all suprised !

I went for an Ombre look, pale shades of the
setting sun....well that's what it said to me
anyway.

I wanted a watercolour look to my
flamingo and tried my new Zig Clean color
real brush pens. (HAD to get those when I saw
them whilst blog hopping).....yes I know not
easy on  the purse this blog hopping is it!!!

After much effort ( several coloured images) and
trying various mediums I  relented and had to use
my trusty Copic pens. The printed image didn't
 like watercolour of  course.

Loving the new pens though so you will be seeing
more of them very soon. Sooo hard to open though,
my poor nails haven't  recovered yet...and I have
only opened 3 so far!!

Enough waffling from me again, come and have a
closer look ;) here is my card....

New Home card

Hi everyone, another grey drizzly day here today grrrr.
A good excuse for escaping to my craft room  and
 making a card though !

I recently bought this lovely embossing folder and
have been dying to try it out, so here goes.
A bit of distress inking, some stamping, die cutting
a few sequins/twine and job done.

I am entering this into the 'Virginia's View Challenge'
which this time is 'Clean Slate'. I used a lot of white
space (one of the options) and 'new home' means
that to me also so I hope it's ok.

Silly me thought I could also enter it into the 'LIM'
challenge this week. Then I realised it wasn't one layer
.............. doh!

I just realised that Virginia comes from Taiwan, so
does my beautiful DIL ;)

ps. Hmm my computer is running so slowly these days.
It seems my OH has had secret talks with our computer
expert  son and they have decided I need a new one.

He also told him to get the best as I use it so much
 ( my son will choose it....as I haven't a clue!).
Wasn't that nice of my OH though awww ;)

Oh my! I am hoping it will be easy to move all my
stuff  from  my computer/EHD to a new computer. I
know it wasn't easy last time I had to change 'puters!
.............Panic mode now initiated..........

Computers seem to be out of date after 5 years now
according to our son.........not good is it !!!!!
End of waffling, come and have a closer look
 at my card ;)

New home card

Good afternoon everyone, Just a quick flying visit today.
I made this card the other day  for my son and  DIL.

They will be moving house soon and I wanted to
have a card ready.

I tried some stitching on my card for a change.
Just don't look too closely though lol.

I made the flowers from a discarded piece of card. I
had used distress inks on it but then the stamping
 part went wrong.

The D/P is an off cut from yestersday's card also.
The sentiment was a freebie from the lovely Chrissie
again.

Thanks Chrissie, finding these so useful just now !

ps. a big welcome to my latest followers too. Thank you
for choosing me to follow :)

Green and Blue Swirls card

Hi everyone, I have another card to show you today.
I seem to be on a roll today as I have another
 half made too.

I am loving blue and green just now, reminds me of
the sea I think. Using my favourite embossing folder
 again too.

I managed to add a little pink and a few  knot
stitches also. This means it qualifies for 'Less is More'
(Use three colours or shades of the same colour).

Hope there is enough white space !!!

Also as I added some stitches I am entering it into
the 'Virginia's View Challenge' (stitching) too.I like the
tiny bit of embossing on the sentiment too, must do that
again.

I used Distress inks I sponged onto an embossing
folder. Then I spritzed it with water before running
it through the embossing machine.

I stitched a few knots in the circles on the embossing
 for detail.
