Purple and Pink card

Hi friends, stopping by to share another
'Less is More' challenge card. The
theme is 'Use a Stencil' this week.
See the usual ps. bit for a piglet story
 too!

For my second card I used my TCW
stencil and pinched some paste my
OH had made. I mixed a bit of alcohol
ink with it and pasted it on the stencil.

I then used a few drops of  3 colours of
alcohol inks on top of the paste. When
that was dry I sprayed some silver
 ink over it all.

I edged the topper with a silver pen,
then added a stamped sentiment and
a few sequins. I stamped the butterfly,
gave that a quick silver spray too, then
gave it the same alcohol ink treatment
also. A tiny bit of sparkle was added
 later to the wings.

Phew job done!, I hope you like it,
the colours are very bright irl ;)

ps. on our way to our usual walk this
morning we came accross a tiny piglet
walking along the main road. So hard
to catch the little thing, much squealing
too.

We managed it in the end, after
holding all the traffic up for a while.
We took it to a local farm we know
(as no pigs around alas), they phoned
another farmer who was coming to get
it.

No idea how it had escaped etc.It went to
sleep being cuddled, must have known we
were vegetarians lol. It was put in a small
dog cage waiting to be reunited with it's
mummy. So a happy ending ;)

Butterfly card

Good afternoon friends, how are you all today?
Doing ok I hope! I have been getting very inky
making my usual 'Less is More' card.
My card was showcased  last week too,
thank you so much !!!

The theme this week is......

Faux Bleach

Hmm that got me thinking alright! I
made a few attempts which turned out
rubbish. So I ditched the alcohol inks
and shiny photo paper idea and used
 Distress inks instead.

Thank you Anita for the idea, soooo
 much easier!!!....and relax ;) I made a
distress background with random colours.
Then stamped my butterfly and blotted
some of  the colour off it.

I edged my topper with a gold pen and
sprayed a bit of gold ink on one corner.
I used my spanky new die and gold card
for the sentiment.

I stamped the top sentiment and gave it the
same inky spray and job done! I dedicate
this card to all my amazing crafty friends as
whenever I see your creations I think you
 are all just AMAZING!!!

Phew, hard going this week, and lots of
inky messiness but got there in the end.
Have a go everyone, it is easy once
you try ;) Have a good week friends!

ps. Wasn't feeling that great yesterday,
virus I think,... still recovering.
So late with my commenting....so sorry.
I will visit you all now I promise!

Butterfly card

Good afternoon friends, freezing here today
but at least the sun is out. As it's Saturday
again I have another 'Less is More' card to
share with you.

The theme is a technique this week and....

KISSING TECHNIQUE

  • Choose a solid stamp and a decorative one
  • Ink the solid stamp in a lightish colour and the
  •  decorative one in a deeper shade
  • Stamp the decorative one onto the solid one as in 'kissing'
  • Stamp the solid stamp onto the card!

This is what I came up with after a bit
of thinking. Well actually a lot of
thinking !......also a lot of trial efforts
ended up in the bin grrrrr.

Anyway come and have a closer look
and see what you think. I think this way
of stamping added a bit of texture rather
than just overstamping the image.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you
have planned ;)

catching up today. Great party btw., glad of
a rest today though ;)

Anyway here is my card, the theme this

hadn't used this particular stamp set yet. I
have so many things ready to use but so
little time to make cards lately.

Note to self.....  'stop buying stuff '. Hmm
as if that is ever going to happen lol. It's a
'one layer' card too, just happened for some
 reason!

Just for you card with butterfly

Good morning friends! just a quick post to show
you another 'Less is More' card I have made.
The theme is.....

 'This makes me happy'

I went with butterflies this time. I love to see
them flitting about the garden in Summer.
I could watch them for ages.

I wasn't happy with my colouring and infact I
had three attempts at making butterflies.
I also added some distress ink and 'splattering'
later as I still wasn't happy. You decide
which is best ;)

My mojo was missing yesterday sadly, and
yet the other day I just made card after
 card. Why is that??

I did go on to make two more cards later on
which I was happier with. Lots of family/friends
ones to do also. I will show you those in another
 post.

Enjoy your week whatever you have planned.
We are off to celebrate our grandsons 3rd
birthday today. He is going to the zoo first so
hoping for some nice photo's.

I have been practising some magic tricks to
astound him with later ( no laughing please).......
well that's the plan lol !

 today too mwah xx ;)

Butterfly newsprint card

Good afternoon friends/play mates I hope all is well
with you today. I have another 'Less is More' card
to share with you again.
The recipe this week is.......

NEWSPRINT

"There can be a lot or a little, but as ever, the card
MUST be Clean and Simple. Please remember
that we like to see areas of white space,
 few layers and minimal embellishments."

So happy to be showcased over at 'LIM' last
week too, thank you so much !!!!

I just had to go with a butterfly theme. A bit
of distressing in TH Antique Linen and a
touch of Faded Jeans around the top one.

I was happy to find the words 'antennae'
twice on the newsprint I cut my butterfly
 from ;)

A big welcome to my latest follower too,
 welcome aboard !

ps.Enjoy your weekend everyone whatever
you have planned. We were babysitting again
yesterday but just having a relaxing day today.

We bought a new internet  radio and after lots
of 'faffing' & help from our son I have
managed  to get it connected  to our wifi...,
 happy days !

You didn't see me dancing around the room
to the  big band music now did you lol ?

I have another 'Less is More' card to share with you
today.

This time it's......

Going for a suble green card today, hope you like the
 ombre effect.

ps. Been so busy sorting 'stuff ' in the house to either
go to auction or to charity this week.

hoping to move house next year as I think you know.

I started on my craft room also.....gulp.....how did I
get such a lot of 'stuff'.....well you all know the answer
to that one I'm sure lol!

It's looking tidier  already and I even found enough
room to make a card !.........happy days ;)

Good afternoon everyone, warm and sunny here today.
I hope you all have the same :)

As it's Saturday once again I have another 'Less is More'
card to show you once more.

I was so happy when I saw this week's theme was to use

'WATERCOLOUR'

I seem to have done nothing else on my cards just lately.
As you may just have noticed lol. ( Check out my
earlier card it would have been ideal I think....darn it!)

Anyway I did a few splats of watercolour and added
my new butterfly die after using more watercolour
on that also.

Hope you like it,and stayed tuned........ as there will be
 more of course :)

ps. Our son has put his gorgeous detached 4 bed house on the market.
It's only been a few days and he has been offered the full asking
price already!

I am not surprised though, sneaky peek below.
It has 4 toilets !, main bathroom, 2 en suites and a downstairs loo.
Wish we could buy it but we want a bungalow again.

They have to move to be nearer schools for our grandson...such a
shame as they love it.Corner plot, quiet area, great field views at
 the back......sighs!

Thinking of you......

Here is my last card for this week’s ‘Less is More’ challenge.
More water colouring once again, think I am hooked on this now.

I used a couple of shades of blue for this one.......I do love blues.
I LOVE pink too of course..........but  I am loving blues just now.

We have to use three of something on our cards.

My three things are three elements (sentiment, background bit
and butterfly), three gems, and three scallops at the bottom :)

Please do check on all the other lovely cards over at ‘LIM’
now as there are some AMAZING ones. Well done LIMettes!
