Hi there friends, been so busy doing 'stuff ' I haven't found the time to show you my latest card for the 'Less is More' challenge. The days and weeks just fly past don't they! Anyway here it is at last.

It's LIM's 7th birthday too.... 7 !!!....wow how did that happen?? I can't believe it's been 7 years, I have taken part in just about every one too. Many congratulations to everyone over at LIM. Thank you and I wish you many more years of amazing challenges also.

Ok come and have a peek at my card. The theme is 'Music' this time. I was tempted to go with Happy Birthday seeing as it's a birthday celebration this time lol, but in the end I went with this instead.
Thanks for the visit and of course enjoy what's left of the week, whatever you have planned ;)

Diamonds card

Hi friends, yes it's Saturday again and of course
I have another card to share with you today!
Back to two of my favourite colours again
blue and purple....and a touch of silver
 this time too ;)

It's been 30c for the last few days here, I even
saw 31c at one stage! Cooler and rain today but
easier to sleep at night I hope now.

I mention this  as I tried a spot of watercolouring
and it all went  horribly wrong much to my horror.
My OH said it was probably the heat and the card/inks
reacting badly........hmmm I was still worried
friends!!!! Panic station time even!!!

Anyway much to my relief I tried it again today
as it's cooler......much cooler and YES all was back
to normal again. Can't say how relieved I was as
I do LOVE to watercolour !

Now I am wondering how all my crafty friends
manage if they live in hotter climes.........any
answers ? maybe you all have air conditioning
though?

Right....... sorry enough of my rambling again,
come and have a quick peek at my card.
Enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)

ps. My OH's fairy house is almost complete,
I am SOOOO excited, photo soon ;)
Also our son is due to move house next week
and it's all going slow down the chain...it may
 not happen now ;(

Turquoise Thanks card

Good evening friends, been busy with family
today but just popping in to show you my
'Less is More' card I quickly managed to
 make tonight.

It's  a lucky dip this week and we have to use

'Designer Paper in  a CAS style'

I found this piece of scrap paper, I think it's
some Pink Petticoat digi paper I printed out
a while ago. Anyway this is what I came up
with. Enjoy your weekend whatever you
 have planned.

ps. I made this mahoosive pie today for our
family gathering,I served it with various fancy salads
and am pleased to say it went down a treat too.
It's a Jamie Oliver recipe, link here if you fancy it.

However it did take me 3 1/2 hrs to make it
so I don't think I will be doing it again anytime
soon lol !! I took a quick photo as they cut into it
to show you, it's called a picnic pie and would
be ideal for that I think.

Two of our children also took a photo as they
couldn't believe just how big it was......
about 9"x 6" !

Ribbon thanks card

Good morning friends/bloggers, yes it's Saturday once again.
Just can't believe how quickly the weekend appears !

Here is another 'Less is More' card where the theme
 this week is.............

"A RECIPE
for you
Use a recycled item!
It can be anything, card, ribbon, paper, metal...
anything that has been used before!"

Hmm could be a tricky one this. But then I looked at all
the many bits I hoard constantly and no it seems it
isn't a problem after all !!!

I found a piece of  card which had been discarded
because it had marks on it. It was the top piece of
card from a pack but it had embossed bits like long
fingers all across it grrrr!

So I cut off the marked piece and used it as my base
card. Then I found another off cut and ran it through
my ribbler for texture.

I looked through my discarded 'stuff' pile(s), oh the
shame, how have I accumulated so much! Anyway
I found lots of treasures there.

I found an old tag which was a receipt from some
chiffon and waste silk I had bought ages ago.Oh my
still not made the collages with it either !

It was just a white paper one with writing on so couldn't
use that BUT attached to it are the most beautiful
velvet  crinkly ribbons........result !

How had I not used them before!!!!! Anyway I
quickly cut a few pieces from them and tied them to my
recycled tag.

The sentiment is a new die ( Paper Smooches) I must admit
(note to self) STOP BUYING NEW STUFF ! But I
found an old discarded card front which hadn't
 printed properly.

I loved the colours and thought they mostly matched
the ribbons so I used the die cut with that piece.

I found a few old sequins and some old gems and
they completed my card.

Sorry for the long post again, just wanted to explain
which items I had recycled. Just look at the card
if you don't want to read all this lol.

ps.My computer is running so slowly atm., I must
sort and delete 'stuff'. Sorry if I am late commenting
but it's hard when it takes me so long.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.
Our DIL's parents are over here from Taiwan so
we will be busy having days out with them. If I
go awol that is why :)

Ribbon, velvet,thanks, LIM,CAS

Oops just noticed I have a new follower too. Welcome aboard
