Hello card

Hi everyone, another very hot day here
 today, 25c mostly.....enjoying the last
of our Summer days ;)

I did manage to finish another card
in the cool of my craft room though!
So come and have a quick peek ;)

I made a soft inky background, stamped
the trees (decided to leave them inked
just lightly to add a bit of 'texture').

I stamped the little birdie and coloured
him with Copics. Then I added the hello
die, I cut it twice and coloured the lower
one green.

The top one was coloured
pink and green and placed a little to the
side to show the underneath one.

A few sequins were then added to give
more interest. I just love this cute little
birdie ;)

Wilbur

Hi friends, just popping in to show you
another card. Wasn't at all sure about
posting it but hey ho!

More 'loose' painting again lol,
........meet Wilbur....well he looks
like a Wilbur to me anyway.

Just playing around really, I decided
he had to have hairy knees and hairy
legs. I kinda made a heart shape on
 his chest too.

Not great I know but I will try harder
if I do another ;) Enjoy your week
everyone...I am mainly cleaning windows,
we have soo many large ones arghh!

Also de-limescaling ...(is that even a
word?) bathrooms etc. Well it should be.
Making two types of vegetarian pate
for Sunday tomorrow. A Vege 'Faux Gras'
and an 'Edamame' one....wish me luck ;)

ps. He is purple as I was going to enter
the card for the 'LIM' challenge....then
rapidly changed my mind lol !!

Oops I forgot to show you the recent
jewellery I made for my SIL's and myself
.....soon...very soon ;)

Hello bird card

Good afternoon friends, I am late making my
usual 'Less is More' card. We have been away
for a week in the Lake District. More about that
later though....and photo's..... and
celebrity spotting !

Come and see my card, more watercolouring
and a bit hurried but hope it's ok. It's a sketch
this week, see it below my card.

I wish you all a good week....well what's left
of it anyway!

We had a great time in the Lake District,
the weather was so hot too, about 23c
every day.So lucky... here are a few photo's.

We were there with my two BIL's and SIL's.
My SIL was just talking about Jerry Hall and
Rupert Murdoch as we walked around Tarn
Hows and who should walk past us 5 mins
 later....yes THEM !!!

We were quite gob smacked, they also
followed us to a pub later......maybe they
were stalking us lol! Anyway my SIL's
mouth wide open stare was a picture I can
tell you.....she was the one who had been
talking about them...hope they didn't hear.

Next day we were in the hotel spa and who
should we find ourselves sitting next to in the
steam room but Dave, (Jools Holland's Bass
player). The other guitar player was splashing
a lot as he swam, front crawl...I got out!

They had a gig later that night so they were
just relaxing. Lovely man and we had a great
chat with him. We saw Ruby and the rest later
too. The best laugh was someone from the hotel
asked my BIL if he was Jools as they were
looking for him. He doesn't look like him in
  the slightest!

We wondered who we might meet next day,
I was hoping for George Clooney but no ...it
didn't happen alas !!!

Anyway it was a lovely break away and now I
am knee deep in washing etc. Back down to
 earth ;)

and added a bit of sparkle to his hat,
job done!

Floral thankyou card

It's week 67 over at 'Less is More' & it's the
dreaded one layer card week again. We have to
                Use three stamps
Hmmm I am not a great fan of one layer cards
& I wasted a lot of card this time trying to make
a suitable card. However I did come up with this
one after a while, not that happy with it but it will
have to do for now. I have another idea now so
will do that later in the week :)
I used a floral and a bird stamp from a set I have
by Kanban called Peacock as it also has a large
peacock in the set too. The sentiment was a 'Jane's
script' stamp again, I often use that set as I find it
stamps more sharply than others I have in various
sets of stamps. Saying that it didn't stamp so well
this time in this lavender ( Color Box) ink I used
grrr! I used some pink ( ink it up) ink and a little
green Promarker on the leaves over the top to
stamp the flower trail. I used lavender ( Color Box)
ink on the bird stamp. I coloured the bird using
various Prisma pencils and also shaded the
flowers with pink pencils too.I cut the card shape
using my nesties (curved rectangles ) btw. Hmmm
still not happy but hope it grows on me.
The sun is shining today, how lovely that is for a
change,I do hope you all have a lovely weekend.
We are babysitting for our grandson Charlie again
next week then Alex the week after......how lucky
 am I :)

Peacock card

Another card for  'Less is More',
it's week 50 and 'one layer' card week
again. The theme this week is
                    BIRDS
The peacock stamp & sentiment is from
the same set as yesterday's birdcage btw.
I coloured the image with water pencils
again, then blended with water. I added
some sparkle with glamour dust too..
I wasn't sure if the peacock needed legs,
so I added some ( see second pic).Hmm
not sure which I like now, you will decide
no doubt which you prefer. The linen card
didn't help with the colouring either,
should have used smooth, but I do like
linen  card.Hands sore again..... sorry if I
don't leave you a comment again.
ps. Sorry Craftyteacher didn't notice you had
used the peacock stamp too on your card before
I made mine.
