Digi Thankyou card

Good morning friends, it's  a sunny day here today,
yipee!!! so pleased to see some sun  after the
constant rain we have had lately.

I have  a digi card to show you today, another made
for the 'Less is More' challenge. It has to be
'One layer' with the theme of 'Thanks'.

I know a digi card seems like an easy option but
I did mess around making it for ages.

Still not sure about it either, the green leaves and
butterfly do look a tad more grey here.Oh well
showing you anyway.

digi, thanks, flowers

I tried to get some 'depth' to it by adding shadow etc.
I added a kind of watercolour background  which
I put a ragged edge too...another first for me digi wise.
I did add my usual Glamour dust and some liquid
pearls to the centre of the flowers also if you peer
closely :)

Here is another digi card made for my DIL, it's her
40th Birthday today infact. Pleased to say she
 loved the card too.

I have another watercoloured card to show you
tomorrow which is almost finshed, on a roll now.

Feeling a bit better now also, thankyou for all
 your good wishes.

Thankyou card

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the
weekend whatever you have planned.I had to get up early again,
 ( 4.30 am) as I was coughing so much grrrr.  It's a bit ( no... a lot)
chilly here today , so we lit the new woodburner 'Woody' today.
Oh boy does it  heat the whole house quickly. We have had to
open all the doors throughout the house now, which is great as
we now have lovely  ambient heat all through it. Right enough
waffling, onto my second  card for this weeks 'Less is More'
challenge. It's week 91 and a sketch this week which is.....
come and have a closer look at my card.  I used the distress
ink technique where you ink onto an  acrylic stamping block
first then spray with water then dab that onto cardstock. I
think mine resembles a  nice sky ?? I embossed over it too,
reminds me of raindrops....sort of ?? I drew a few birds
stamped a tree and coloured a little here and there. Quite
pleased with it now, I see so many things  wrong with my first
card now...isn't that always the way??
ps. I do hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back.
It took us ages to figure out how to do the tv time. Sooooo many
menu's etc. ...I swear it's worse than a computer that tv. When they said
all singing and dancing I think they just mean VERY COMPLICATED.

Blue butterfly card

Hi fellow bloggers, hope you are enjoying the weekend. We are
having yet another family party tomorrow for my eldest son's
birthday.See details of food below if you are nosey. We have
our lovely woodburning stove in place now,and very nice it
looks too. OH just doing tiling around it now, dark grey slate
to go with the black/grey of the fire.It was so hot when we tried
the fire the other day, I think it will keep us toasty all winter now.
Right onto my card, sorry for waffling/rambling again! Hope
it's LIM enough, not sure if it's too 'busy' ...sorry if it is C&M.
For this week's 'Less is More' challenge we have to
Take 3 Challenges
we can choose three previous challenge ideas and then
combine them on a card. So easy peasy really. My mojo
went missing today, but I did manage a card in the end.
Still not sure about it but it will have to do for now, I may
make another during the week......or not. Mostly stamping
this time with a bit of embossing too ( sentiment & butterfly).
Have a great weekend everyone, we will be knee deep in
babies again lol, not that I am complaining. Here is my card.
ps. I have been making lemon, rosemary and sea salt
focaccia bread, well starting it ready for baking tomorrow.

dip served with spicy wedges. Also goats cheese & roasted
red pepper  bruchetta with basil  Fresh melon too, can choose which
they want. That's the starters, followed by spicy lentil puff pastry
plait, new potatoes, couscous salad and seasonal  green veg with
chilli  & red pepper chutney. Followed by lemon tart & almond
toffee crunch ice- cream, served with homegrown raspberries or choc
bites. Fresh pineapple and black grapes. Coffee cake ( as requested
by son for his birthday), coffee and mints. They always fight

Floral thankyou card

It's week 67 over at 'Less is More' & it's the
dreaded one layer card week again. We have to
                Use three stamps
Hmmm I am not a great fan of one layer cards
& I wasted a lot of card this time trying to make
a suitable card. However I did come up with this
one after a while, not that happy with it but it will
have to do for now. I have another idea now so
will do that later in the week :)
I used a floral and a bird stamp from a set I have
by Kanban called Peacock as it also has a large
peacock in the set too. The sentiment was a 'Jane's
script' stamp again, I often use that set as I find it
stamps more sharply than others I have in various
sets of stamps. Saying that it didn't stamp so well
this time in this lavender ( Color Box) ink I used
grrr! I used some pink ( ink it up) ink and a little
green Promarker on the leaves over the top to
stamp the flower trail. I used lavender ( Color Box)
ink on the bird stamp. I coloured the bird using
various Prisma pencils and also shaded the
flowers with pink pencils too.I cut the card shape
using my nesties (curved rectangles ) btw. Hmmm
still not happy but hope it grows on me.
The sun is shining today, how lovely that is for a
change,I do hope you all have a lovely weekend.
We are babysitting for our grandson Charlie again
next week then Alex the week after......how lucky
 am I :)
