Good afternoon friends, lovely sunny weather

Today I have a shabby chic card to show you.
Yes I know!!!!!......not my usual CAS style of
card at all is it. Just fancied a change, and after
all my latest decoupage (see an earlier post)

what you think.....

arrived safely and I just can't get my OH out

A candle, a tray and lots of shabby chic!

Good afternoon friends, I trust all is well
with you today ? I am feeling much better
too btw. thank you for all the good wishes ;)

I have been busy doing lots of decoupage
lately, thought you may want a look.
Not on a card but on wood! I seem to be
in a shabby chic mood lately too.

Anyway come and have a look.... I asked
my lovely uber talented OH to make me a
fat candle holder out of wood. He said he
would make me a candle in wood too ;)
Warning....photo heavy!!!

I decided to do some decoupage on them
as you can see. Can you see a tray and a
placemat/large coaster too...yep he made
those too!

What got me started were the cream table
and chairs we bought from our neighbour.
Then I needed chair cushions and a table
cloth! I went with blue and spotty...yes
I know 'what no pink' you ask!!!

So I bought these ...all matching and
all from different sellers too...result!

Then I got these cushions to match for our sofa,
I added the roses ones later after I did all the roses
decoupage!

Our sofa is blue hence the blue spottiness theme!
My lovely OH kindly made me this tray and I
tried my first bit of decoupage....hmm don't look
too closely ;) Then I spied some tablemats/coasters
he had made and decided to...ahem... pinch them. I
 decoupaged those too!

Oops... I left my camera lens on the table!!!!

Here is a closeup of the tray...not great...but a first attempt
....make allowances please ;)

Here are all the mats finished!......they had large letters
on at first. My OH thought our grandchildren may like
to play with them and learn their alphabet at the same
time. Alas it was a lot of hard work so he gave up after
the first few letters. Anyway now they are reborn as
table mats...or large  coasters ;)

Here they are all together! These are in our large back
sunlounge btw. hence my OH making me a wooden
candle instead of  me using a real one......the real
ones melt as it gets so hot in there in the Summer.

Right that is all for now, we got rid of our brown
leather sofa and chair today to  a charity. We
are expecting our new  corner sofa tomorrow
...at long last....9 weeks wait! So exciting!!
We are sitting on an old chair and my computer
chair tonight in our lounge. Hope our new stuff
arrives tomorrow!!!!!

ps. A big welcome to my latest follower Miranda
too. Welcome aboard and thanks for choosing me
 to follow :)

Another card soon.......and it's a shabby chic one
...and NOT CAS...shock horror !!!!

Navy flower card

Good afternoon friends/bloggers, I hope all is well today
for you all. Here is a second card for this week's
'Less is More' challenge, where the theme is.......

Felt or Fabric

I went for a shabby chic look this time, in shades of
purple and navy.Quite liking this colour combo! Details
below card....and my ramblings lol. Come and
 have a closer look...........

close- up

I have lots of chiffon I bought in different shades to make
flowers with. I went with the navy colour. After cutting and
singeing the ends I sewed some tiny beads in the middle.
The leaves and 'buds' I pinched from some pot pourri, well
the leaves were like paper mache so........fabric? I didn't
have any purple bakers twine so made my own.

Not brilliant I know but at least it matches. TH distress
inking and a bit of  distressing to the edge of the card. I
made a banner & added a Woodware stamped sentiment.
 Job done !

ps. More changes afoot ( excuse pun....see below ), after
getting to used my new smart phone, then my new tablet, then
new glasses (varifocals for the 1st time).

It seems I have another new thing to get used to now.

I have been having foot problems for several years now
and my reflexologist has been nagging me to get a referral to
see a Podiatrist. My arches have dropped & my leg is
changing shape accordingly............ oh my !

Well today I saw him ( very nice young man) and he
is getting me  fitted with custom orthotics. It involved
lots of warm water and  plaster....very nice experience!

He did say my feet were very flexible, which is a good thing
apparantly lol. I hope this will help me be able  to walk
better and  with much less pain. I will report back soon :)

Two shabby chic tags & some flowers

Hi everyone, hope you are all getting this lovely
hot sunny weather we have today. In between
catching some rays I decided to make a couple
of tags. Not made these before, I decided on a
shabby chic theme. I have been busy making more
flowers too, still can't get them how I want them
but will keep on trying ! I used a hot glue gun today,
for the ribbon ones, burnt myself a tad.I also dropped
very hot water ( only a few drops from a pan lid) on
my foot and on my chest ( separate accidents)...... & also
on my arm. Didn't really last however I put arnica on and
I am fine now, talk about accident prone though lol !
ps. The pearls are real in the pics....my Pearl Anniversary
pressie from several years ago :)
Forgot to say my eldest son did ok in the London to Camb bike
 race today , 60 miles  in 3 hrs .!
