Happy Christmas and chocolate sleighs !

Hi there crafty friends, just a very last minute post before Christmas! I just made these chocolate sleighs for our grandchildren and  loved them so much I thought I would share them with you all. I think I made some years ago when the grandchildren were very young too.
I can't take all the credit as I first saw the idea for them  made by Jak Heath a few years ago and also she has added an updated one now ... link HERE. Do have a go at making them if you can as they are quite easy to make and you can use any chocolate/sweets which fits the 'sleigh' really.
I used a hot glue gun, red ribbon tied around them and various bars of chocolate etc. ....I had a hard job finding the candy canes this year and no red and white ones either ...shortage of them everywhere. I kept putting off making them as I just couldn't find any of the canes. But I did find these pink and green ones last week and was able to make the sleighs in the end luckily.
I think the 'littlies' will love them too, I added little tags with their names on also ;)

The Flower Challenge #75 Christmas

Hi there crafty friends, it's December and we have another challenge for you over at The Flower Challenge again. 
This month our theme is 'Christmas', I know you will all have those pesky last minute Xmas cards to make so we hope you will join in with our challenge. Hope you have all your Xmas plans well under way by now, I am hoping as I write this back in Oct that I have too!!
Our talented Guest Designer this month is the fabulous Darnell, she was also our winner for July. I am sure you all know Darnell but if not do pay her a visit as not only does she make beautiful cards she is a real hoot too!

We are closing the challenge early this year on the 15th December, so there will be no reminder card this month. Also we are having a longer Xmas break this time and so there will be no January challenge also, please make a note.

I stamped my flowers and then water coloured them all. I decided to do a light wash of red around them too....hmm not sure I am that keen on the last bit now but it's done!

Love this beautiful flower stamp, I did a loose water colour edge part  using a rectangle stencil, then added my flower spray using silver embossing and finally my sentiment. I water coloured my flower and leaves, stamped the wording added a few clear sequins and job done!

I loved this card so much I decided to make another one very similar, I am sending these to my dear sister in laws as I am sure they will appreciate them both ;) The stamping on the wording wasn't great but I went over it in black pen after I took the pics.

I decided to make us all new FC watermarks too, here is my first use of mine above ;) I think it looks clearer, hope you approve.

Christmas candles

Hi there friends, just a very quick post today! I bought these candles the other day.....infact I have been buying quite a few candles and lanterns lately lol...but I digress!

I then looked at them and wondered what to do with them to 'jazz' them up a bit for Xmas. I remembered that I had made a couple of cards ages ago with beautiful little diamantes on.  So the search was on to then find them of course.

Several hours later ;)...I found them and also some little scraps of lace too. I attached it all to the candles also a few gems and job done. I think they will look quite sweet together......hmm now to find a place to put them.

They are at present in my new kitchen along with other blingy stuff I have ...ahem.... 'aquired' since we did the kitchen refit in Summer. I may just be turning into a magpie !!!!

Oh and I 'Christmased' up ...is that even a word? my large lantern, pic below candles. Bit of 'snow', car tree ornament, few trees and some lights inside. Works for me anyway!

Anyway Happy Christmas again!... and hope yours all goes to plan too ;)

LIM Xmas card

Hi there friends, I am back with another card for the 'Less is More' challenge again. This time it's the dreaded 'One layer card' and 'Winter Flora'.

I have been making a lot of Xmas cards recently (12 in fact, each day for 12 days), see my earlier posts for details. So I decided on another similar one but with just one layer this time.

'Twelve Days of Christmas' no #12

Hi there friends, it's my last day for the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' card posts. I decided to do another hand-drawn Poinsettia again, another pink one lol ;)

I saw the most gorgeous pink one today in Waitrose, I almost bought it too as it will just match my new kitchen pink stuff ;)...maybe soon...so I can keep it alive for Xmas lol. I do have another one in leaf and about to flower again from last year but not sure what colour it was now.

I hope you like my card, I will add my 'extra' one now too. I made quite a few of them at the very start so I  have lots to send out at least ;)

I  also hope I have given you a few ideas for quick Xmas cards anyway. Thanks for looking each day and leaving me such lovely comments too ;)

I painted my flower onto some water colour card, then added my sparkle. I mounted that onto my card base. Then I stamped and embossed my sentiment in silver and added that to my card too. I used a copic around the edge of my sentiment first. 

A few sequins and my card was complete.

Very simple one, I like simple...esp. when doing lots! I made my card base then added a strip of card after embossing it first. A quick sentiment in silver card and job done. A quick CAS card!

So hard to photograph all white stuff now the light has changed arghh...apologies!

'Twelve Days of Christmas' card no #10

Hi there friends, a very late post today...apologies! we have been doing more cleaning of our new floor/lounge etc., making changes to our lounge and putting our tv on the wall etc. today. Phew that was tiring, still got more stuff to add and new mirrors, rugs coming too. We are getting there though!

Anyway I am here to share Xmas card no #10 with you all, it's another modern one again. Not many more to go now, thank you so much to all those who have left me sweet comments each day, it's so appreciated ;)

'Twelve Days of Christmas' card no #8

Hi there friends, I am back with card no #8 of my 'Twelve Days of Christmas' posts. Bit late as we had our lounge floor being finished off today with the LVT strips. Really happy with it, just so much cleaning with all the dust etc. 

 

Anyway all our furniture is in again now and we are moving bits around and changing stuff. Pics soon. Right back to my card! I tried a bit of hand drawing and loose water colouring for a more modern card today. Hope you approve...back with another tomorrow ;)

'Twelve Days of Chrismas' card no #7

Hi there friends, I am back with another Xmas card to share...we are up to number 7 now. I have another more traditional one to share today. I added glitter to the berries and large flower....looks a bit strange here....it's the glitter I dotted on honest!!!

 

See you tomorrow for a more modern one ....I did a bit of freehand drawing and some watercolouring too....yikes that was scary lol !

Our lounge floor has all been screed today, all dried now just waiting for the LVT to be fitted tomorrow. We are still climbing over furniture yet though at the little entrance room lol. At least it will all be finished tomorrow then we can put all the furniture back ...happy days ;)
