Best Friends

Just popping in very quickly today to share my last card this week for the 'Less is More' challenge. Has to be 'one layer' and the theme is 'Opposites Attract'.   I thought the largest animal I could find and also  the smallest would fit the bill. Saw this cute and soppy Giraffe and I already had this small chick image. A plan was forming ;)

I quickly put this card together, I had to extend the neck of the Giraffe a tad and resize the chick. Now realise of course I should have added more  markings down the side of the Giraffe's neck  too arghh!
Anyway come and have quick peek ;)

ps. Tired today, just been scrubbing the tiled floor to the sun lounge,(it rained as the roof was being done)  brushing walls down and washing very large windows, all paintwork etc.      Our front sun lounge has it's new roof now,yipee!  We just have to paint stuff inside and fix a new shelf. Large back sun lounge to redo completely,triple  garage to  re- roof and new kitchen to do yet lol!

Giraffe cards

Hi friends, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's  day  yesterday. I had a great day with lots of flowers/plants/chocs/wine/cards and saw my lovely  children and grandchildren of course.       I have a couple of cards to show you today. I made the grey one first and wasn't happy  about it....kept trying but just wasn't working.         Showing you it anyway....then I tried again with the same image. Much happier this time. I wanted to get the Giraffe peeking out from  the frame. I think the bit of embossing/chalking  helped too.         I still struggle a bit with one layer cards. Sorry the pic is a tad dark but the embossing  wouldn't show otherwise.      Anyway I wish you all a good week,  whatever you have planned ;)

Giraffe baby card

Hi sweet friends, I hope you are all well and  keeping warm in this cold weather we are  having. Well it's cold here anyway brrrr !!!! 0c here just now.        We have just a sprinkling of snow today so far. At least we made it yesterday to look after our grandson for a while to help out.         This week over at 'LIM' towers it's a Lucky Dip and the chosen theme is         Little Ones


Of course what cards did I last post here... ........baby cards of course.....so typical ! I made a similar card but used a different  image this time.          It was also another very small  square  card  (4"x4"). So that goes  with this week's theme too I think ;)          I still have babies on my mind, see  previous post lol. We found out we are  expecting another granddaughter .          Of  course I am beyond excited  AGAIN !! Thanks for all the good wishes  too,  you are all so lovely even though I  haven't met any of you irl. & many of you also live in another country.         Card  making/blogging certainly makes it a  very small world. I do appreciate and  treasure your friendship ;)         Anyway come and have a closer look  at my card. I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned ;)

Giraffe card

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all enjoying this lovely hot weather we are having.Well it's hot and sunny here atm. anyway. Here is another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place' once again. It seems we are going on Safari lol. This is the first of an animal series  Beccy has designed and they are just  fabulous.I love how there  is a choice of just a black and white image, a black and white image  with a quote and also a coloured version. I think these would be great  for the dreaded men's cards we all struggle with. Also they could be used for  children or just for anyone who likes animals really . This card was made  using the 'Giraffe' digi image. Hope you like it and I can't wait to show  you my next animal card  very soon. A big welcome to my latest  followers also, welcome aboard.Ooooh and don't forget Beccy's  AUGUST challenge everyone too! ps. A big thankyou to everyone who so kindly wished me a happy  birthday/sent me cards/ ecards etc. for  yesterday.All my cards were  PINK except for one, my secret is out I think lol. I had a fabulous day,  lots of lovely pressies, a kindle and lots of crafty stuff mainly. We went  for a picnic at our fav beach and even had  paddle as the weather was  great too, followed by the obligatory ice cream of course. A spot of bubbly  and a lovely meal in the evening finished off a delightful day. Now we are  busy sorting the garden for our big  party on Sat, so much to dooooooo !

Just peeking card

Here is another card for the 'Less is More' challenge again.
It's  week 67 and one layer card week ( oh my!) and we have to...
                              USE THREE STAMPS
I used a BOBEA digi image which happens to have three stamps
in the set. I made a distressed ink ( Antique Linen) panel using
 masks to cover the images. I also embossed a couple of lines
 either side of the inked panel too.I then coloured the  animals
using Copics/Promarkers.I love the cute expressions on these little
animals.
Today I did something a bit silly.....well a LOT silly !!! I managed
 to lose £50!!! I withdrew it from a cash machine outside
 Waitrose then went inside shopping. I realised I didn't have the
 money when I came to pay ( luckily I still had enough cash in
 my pocket).So I either left it in the cash machine( horror of
 horrors) or I lost it once inside the shop.The shop haven't found
 it and it wasn't in the machine when I looked shortly afterwards.
 My OH said it probably went to someone who really NEEDED
 it today. I hope that's the case too, really feel so stupid now. I
 have my brother on my mind today as he finds out tomorrow if
he can have the op he needs or if he is just too unwell ( because of his
breathing) to have it.We already know he is at high risk even if does
 have it....but he may have no choice really.
That's why my mind was elsewhere I think....either that or I am
really losing my mind!!!
ps. Updated to add I DID get my money back ! I left it in the cash
 machine and some kind lady ( angel) handed it in  to the shop nearby :)

Number four Giraffe card

Here is another number card today,
up to 4 now ( very appropriate I thought
 today.....see my ps below! Such a cute image
 again from  the lovely Beccy of course.
It's available HERE, along with the others.
I coloured the image with Promarkers
& Copics and added some lines
 around the edge for interest. I layered
the image ( cut with nesties again) onto
a bit of striped card ( Pink Petticoat
 stripes). Then onto another 'dotty' card
matt. A few gems coloured to match &
a computer generated sentiment
 completed the card.

I have a little announcement tomorrow, but
will keep you guessing for now :)
ps. The new grandbaby may arrive very soon
we think, ...more pains last night. If he arrives
 today he will only get a birthday every four
 years though...it being leap year ! Just want to
 see him now though so who cares lol.
