You're Amazing

Good afternoon friends, here I am again to
show you a card I have made for this week's
'Less is More' challenge.
This time it's a recipe and....

'Acetate or Vellum'

This is what I came up with, I seem to
be in a green mood today ;) Not often I
make green cards! I chose a very pale
shade too so I hope you can see my card
 clearly enough.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have
planned ;)

ps. Our son has bought another house,
(and it's fabulous)....... hoping
this one goes through this time now!
Ooh and our flat roof is all finished
after 2 whole weeks also...rain stopped
play for a while....a long while!

I used vellum on the small panel with the sentiment on.

Dragon card

Hi playmates, how are you today? As it's
Saturday yet again I am back with another
'Less is More' card to share with you.

It's a recipe this week and......

'Saints, Dragons or Heroes'

Not an easy one I thought, but then I
decided to make a digi card for a
change.Glad it came together quickly,
(see below for reasons). Just love this
cute dragon, hope you like him too ;)

Anyway come and have a closer peek
at my card, and enjoy your weekend
whatever you have planned.

I will include a quick pic of our new car
too.The table you see in the background
is where I take photographs of my cards
 btw. ;)

ps. Still not feeling that great, I have
had a nasty virus I think. Anyway let's
just say things got very violent at both ends
lol. Then I passed out for a while,
alarming my very concerned OH.

He said my breathing wasn't great either
to add to it. I don't do things by halves!
Anyway it was just for a day and I am
slowly recovering now ;)

Dragon, LIM, CAS, Green

Hope you can see the cute little worm(with wings lol) I added at the top of the wording ;)

Supplies

I added a digi soft watercolour
background (behind the words too but it
is very pale)and  the top flowers
 and worm.

April Showers

Good morning play mates, how are you today?
Pouring down...rather wet here alas but hoping
it will improve very soon ;)

I am back with another 'Less is More' challenge
card. It's a 'theme' this time and.....

"We'd like you to use 3 STAMPS
This could be 3 individual stamps or the same
 3 stamps used multiple times."

Ok I can do this......not! I tried several things,
all of which just didn't look right. I am not
that happy with this effort either but hey ho
I am going with it anyway!

So come and have a quick peek and see
what you think......looking out of the window
you can see why showers were on my mind !

ps. This is me trying to do a brief post for a
change. Not finding it easy!!!! Anyway
enjoy your weekend whatever you have
planned ! I am doing shabby chic 'stuff',

Green Spotty card

Hi friends, I hope you are all enjoying a
very Happy Easter. It was bright and
sunny here yesterday, just right for our
Easter egg hunt! See pic of our
 granddaughter hunting for eggs below
my card ;)

I am popping in to show you my latest
card for this week's 'Less is More'
challenge. It's a recipe this time and

POLKA DOTS

This is what I came up with, green for
a change too. I used the cut out bits from
the die to make ears, eyes and a smile.
I was kinda thinking of an Easter bunny
....or maybe not lol.

Anyway come and have a closer look ;)
ps.I really love polka dots, infact I have
just bought some yummy powder blue
chair cushions with white polka dots
on. Yes blue and not PINK.... I know
...........you will be shocked!

They are for our new wooden chairs
we aquired cheaply from our new
neighbours. I managed to get a
matching oil cloth for the pedestal
table (also from our neighbours) and
spotty cushions for our blue leather
sofa too.So lucky to get matching stuff
from different sellers.

They all look so lovely in our back
sunlounge. The grandchildren have
already made use of the table for
games and making 'stuff' so it was
 a great buy ;)

Enjoy what's left of the Easter holidays,
very cold and windy here today!

show you another card I made for the
 'Less is More' challenge.

The theme is the 'Kissing Technique' , see
my last post for more details. I went for
green this time.

I used a leaf stamp and also a tree stamp.
I think the tree stamp looks like veins
 in the leaves ;)

Enjoy your Sunday ;)

My mojo seems to be missing today, I

Green Ombre Sympathy card

Good afternoon friends, such a warm sunny
day here too. I hope it will be a nice October.

Just stopping by to show you this sympathy
card. Sadly I have had to make far too many
of these lately.

I have heard of five deaths in the last two
weeks ! First my elderly neighbour lost her
dear husband. Then a good crafting friend
lost her lovely husband.

Then my SIL lost a close friend in an
accident. My DIL lost her granddad. Then
a couple of days ago my closest oldest
friend lost her husband very suddenly.

I hope that is all for now, my heart goes
out to all their poor relatives & friends.

Anyway come and  see my card, it
seems to be my 'go to' card now for
sympathy cards. I find black too
harsh and depressing.

I hope the recipients liked them too and
found comfort in the wording. I always
try and say something uplifting.......
and can only hope it helps a little. I
used the green ombre colour on the
insert too btw.

Thinking of You Green Ombre card

Just a quick post for a change. I made this card
for a dear friend, then disaster struck! I had just
finished photographing it and I saw a watermark
had suddenly appeared at the very edge half
way down :(  You can't see it here....it happened
a couple of minutes later.

I think it was the white tak stuff I used to hold
the card closed whilst taking a photo. Never had
that happen before. Anyway because of where it
was I was unable to hide it.

I was most annoyed as I had taken so much
care over making it (sob sob). Never mind
I made another one which was much simpler
and more my style. I will show you that
another time.

Happy crafting my lovely friends ;)

Green and Gold Crazy Bird

Good morning friends/playmates, hope you all
have the glorious sun we have today. A real
Summer's day here, hope it lasts a while.

I have my 3rd and last 'Less is More' card for
this week to show you today. The colour theme
is 'Green and Gold'. This is what I came up
with. Come and have a closer peek ;)

Just loving these Crazy Bird stamps, they make
me smile everytime I look at them. This one
certainly looked  as if  it was sorry to me lol,
so I went with a 'Sorry' sentiment.

ps. Bit of drama here yesterday, my poor OH fell
of a ladder.....don't ask, it's complicated lol !
He gashed his leg rather badly so a quick trip to
 A&E.

He had  several stitches etc. and I even watched
them do it,..... fascinating ...bit gory too though.
Such skillful nurses/Dr's they were  fantastic!!!

Also I seem to have  overcome  my squeamish
side too....who knew! Glad to report he is much
better today and mending nicely :)

Green Feathers and a touch of gold

Good afternoon friends, just popping by to
show you another 'Less is More' card.

I used some distress inks and a few drops
 of gold on the feathers.

I stamped the sentiment and used
a touch of gold gilding paste on the edge.
The edge looks very golden irl, a tad darker
here though as usual. I pinched the gilding
paste from  my OH lol.

He has so many yummy things in his garage/
workshop as he makes a lot of things out of
wood. I may be checking out his other supplies
there now ;)

Green and Gold Joy card

Good afternoon friends, I hope your weekend is
going well so far ;)

I have another 'Less is More' card to share with
you again. It's a colour theme this week and...

Green and Gold

I pondered for a while (as you do) then decided
to go with this idea. A bit of masking,
blending and stamping. Hope you can see
 the tree!

I finished it off by die-cutting this Joy
sentiment and colouring  it with a yummy
gold ink I have. I looked at all my gold card
but it was too harsh a gold colour.

I added a few dewdrops to finish it off. I
wanted a gold one but didn't have one.

I dabbed a bit of gold ink on my card
and popped the clear dewdrop on top,
yeaaah....result!

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have
planned. We are babysitting our latest
granddaughter again......cuddles will be
compulsory I am thinking he he ;)

Autumn leaves card

Hi friends, it's looking and feeling a lot like Autumn now
here. Brrr the heating had to go on last night and
for a while this morning too.

I am posting another 'Less is More' card once again.
It's a colour theme and.....

"For our Colour challenge this month we have chosen
Autumn's Bounty
Sounds kinda poetic doesn't it...
so we'd love to see autumnal shades in your cards."

This is what I came up with, not my usual colours,
but I am quite liking these for a change.Pop on over
and look at all the other cards over at 'LIM' too. There
are some real beauties, so lovely to see all the autumn
 colours and leaves too.

ps. So busy yesterday with family birthday celebrations,
our son's 40th this time! The third one this year in our
family. As usual they all came to us so I am still
 recovering!

The parties have become more frenetic lately, serving/
moving food around two crazy running toddlers and a
 crawling baby arghhh!

Phew that's the last party until Xmas, so I hope for a
bit of relaxation and card making now ;)

I will show you the teeshirts I designed for hubby in
another post as it will be very photo heavy as you
can imagine. He was very pleased with them I am

Enjoy the moment.....

Hi friends/bloggers I hope this finds you all well.
It's another LIM card again and this time it's....

"For our theme this week, we're going with Sarah's
suggestion of using a song title to trigger your
 imaginations!"

This week's song is
Singin' in the rain!

"You can take any aspect from the title as the
starting  point for your creation.  Rain, weather,
music, dancing... let your imagination take flight.
Just remember to keep it Clean and Simple,
 with plenty of white space!"

I went with rain :) My first effort was almost
finished when I decided on a watercolour
background. BIG mistake!!!!

Let's just say it was a total disaster and leave it
 at that lol !

So onto card 2. I used a digital background
this time using Grepic dip dye digi paper and
a Dearie Dolls digi coloured with Promarkers.

The sentiment is computer generated...........
and relax!

Hope there is enough white space ??, now onto
card 2. I will be back very soon to show you
 my next effort !

Have a lovely weekend everyone, whatever you
have planned. It was 30c here yesterday and I
was melting,........ 27c today still!

'Shades of Green' watercolour card

Hi friends/bloggers I have another quick card to show you today.
I saw a new challenge blog 'Virginia's View Challenge' 'Watercolour'
and couldn't resist making a card for it.
Hope you like it too.

Not a great week, we came home to find a burglar trying
to break in our house....shock horror....more about that later.

Sorry about the peculiar text below. I fear changes I made to my
html code have made it most strange.I am trying to resolve it still!

Green, watercolour, card, flowers

I used some TH distress inks and  some new Stampendous
stamps. The sentiment is from the same set also.I finished it off
using a few dots of Liquid Pearls.
I have been buying YET more craft 'stuff', I hope to start
using it all very soon.

ps. As for our burglar, he only managed to smash a couple of
small  glass panels in our inner door. Our 5 lever BS lock helped,
he was never getting through that.

OH used to be in crime  prevention so takes security seriously.
My fault I didn't lock the outer front sunlounge door as expecting
post. Only away 20 mins too.

Outer door always locked now of course! OH chased him down the
road shouting and swearing at him hoping someone might
 stop him.

He got away alas but a neighbour helped my OH find him and
they and the police did get him in the end. He has previous and
says it wasn't him of course. Nothing will come of it no doubt
but at least he got a big shock when my OH ran after him.

Will let you know what happens anyway, the police have
been so fantastic.Great quick response etc., we wrote a letter
thanking them all. They get enough criticism I think.

Spring flowers card

Hi everyone, as it's Saturday yet again I have another 'Less is More'
card to show you today.

It's one layer card week and the theme is.....

'Spring Flowers'

Here is the card I came up with. Luckily I had just taken delivery
of some yummy pink Copics. I used an old 'Beccy's Place' digi image
which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it.

A touch of Glamour dust and few dots of liquid pearls on the stamens
and it was finished.

Now added a new pic as I darkened the flowers, hmmm still
not sure which I like best. I was going for a very pale apple
blossom colouring at first but then thought it looked a bit too
pale.

Darkened the flowers

Hope you like the card, makes me feel more Spring like anyway :)
Have a lovely weekend whatever your plans are. We are off to see
our lovely grandson again.

ps. More weight loss last week thank heavens after a small
 gain the week before.
