Olive & Tangerine card

Hi there friends, ....phew it ain't half hot here......still 27c late at night. Oh well must make the best of it while it lasts I guess ;)

I have another card to share made for the 'Less is More' challenge once again. This time it's a colour one and 'Olive and Tangerine',.....not a colour combo I have ever tried I think !

I had simply no idea what to make so I just looked through my stamps and dies for inspiration. It's what I always do....sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't lol. ;)

Anyway it wasn't long before I came across this poppies die  and thought....orange poppies yeeeah. I cut the bottom half with white card then coloured it with an olive  marker. I used some olive type ink and a stencil to add interest behind my image and job done!

I also used these amazing clear crystal gems I recently bought, they are like little pyramids and sooo sparkly....I just love them !!...I added a little orange pearl too for colour ;)

I have been busy lately decorating little peg dolls for our two...yes TWO dolls houses my OH bought very cheaply from our local tip who now have a shop. We had to paint one and do a lot inside one of them but the other was just perfect. Anyway will post pics soon of it all....and my OH has been making more little minature houses too he he !...pics to follow soon ;)

Sorry for the rambling post...come and see my card ;)

Beautiful! A super-dooper CAS design Viv and every thing looks so crisp and clean. Love the added detail of the stencilling. What a good idea for your local tip to have a shop! I bet they have loads of things in pretty good condition being taken there and it is lovely to hear that they are not going to waste. Anyway, thanks for sharing your gorgeous card with us at Less is More xx

The delicate stencil work is a great background for those gorgeous Tangerine poppies. Very contemporary and fabulously CAS x. Yes it's been really really hot x

Even though this is a simplistic design, it is so elegant and the tangerine poppies are amazing. Keep up the great work, love stopping by to see your designs and cards.

CAS-tastic, Viv! Great idea for those colours. The poppy is beautifully coloured. The stencilled background grounds it perfectly and adds lovely dimension. Thank you for joining us at Less is More. x
