Olive & Tangerine card

Hi there friends, ....phew it ain't half hot here......still 27c late at night. Oh well must make the best of it while it lasts I guess ;)

I have another card to share made for the 'Less is More' challenge once again. This time it's a colour one and 'Olive and Tangerine',.....not a colour combo I have ever tried I think !

I had simply no idea what to make so I just looked through my stamps and dies for inspiration. It's what I always do....sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't lol. ;)

Anyway it wasn't long before I came across this poppies die  and thought....orange poppies yeeeah. I cut the bottom half with white card then coloured it with an olive  marker. I used some olive type ink and a stencil to add interest behind my image and job done!

I also used these amazing clear crystal gems I recently bought, they are like little pyramids and sooo sparkly....I just love them !!...I added a little orange pearl too for colour ;)

I have been busy lately decorating little peg dolls for our two...yes TWO dolls houses my OH bought very cheaply from our local tip who now have a shop. We had to paint one and do a lot inside one of them but the other was just perfect. Anyway will post pics soon of it all....and my OH has been making more little minature houses too he he !...pics to follow soon ;)

Sorry for the rambling post...come and see my card ;)

Sepia and White Poppies

Hi friends, wow it's July already ....time
flies by so quickly these days ! Just back
from a quick holiday to Somerset, Devon
and Dorset. More about that below.

As it's Saturday yet again I have my usual
'Less is More' card to share with you. It's
a colour theme this time and.....

'Colours Of Your Kitchen'

Ours has Spanish sweet chestnut wooden
units, white walls and cream linen roman
blinds (made by me).
The work surfaces are grey/white flecked
and the floor is cream rough textured
with grey grout.

We really need a new kitchen but as we
intend to move house soon it's just not
happening! It's very large and square
which  I love and plenty of units so.....

Anyway come and have a look at my
card. I went with a simple brown and
white combo with lots of texture ;)
I spattered a bit of gold ink and did
some  random ink swiping for a bit
 of contrast.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you
have planned. I am recovering from
all the walking I did while away ;)

ps. We went fossil hunting, visiting lovely
castles and gardens. We found the most
beautiful pub too with amazing food.
Such a relaxing little break !

Sorry I am late commenting this week,
we only got back home last night. I
will be visiting you all very soon I
 promise ;)

Congrats card

Good morning friends, another scorcher of
a day here again. 26c but feeling much hotter!!!

Not sure I like it this hot.... it's said 37c in our
back sun lounge for several days lately.
Daren't even look what it says in the
front one as it's  smaller.

I certainly boiled taking this photo there today,
and did it very quickly lol.
 We shouldn't complain though.......at least
 Summer has arrived ;)

Right onto this week's 'Less is More' card.
It's a colour theme this week and....

RED, WHITE and BLUE

This is what I came up with, I found it a strange
combination but hey ho. I seem to be stencilling
a lot more lately too!

Enjoy your day and weekend whatever you
have planned. I will be cuddling our new
granddaughter yet again...and taking more
photo's of course.

I think Amelia already thinks my camera is
just an extension of my  face....oh my! I made
lots more scrapbook pages of course.....do you
want see another?.......oh go on then lol ;)

Sorry for the rambling YET again......come
and have a closer look at my card.

ps. Handy tip!.... not a good idea to craft in
white trousers. Will I ever learn !!!

Not a problem for me as I seem to have quite a

die which I am loving already. More watercolouring
of course too !

Poppies card

Hi everyone, another beautiful sunny day again here.
I have another 'Less is More' card to show you today.
This week the challenge is a.......
Colour Challenge
"This month we would like you to choose TWO opposite
 colours from this Colour Wheel"
This time I decided to use orange and blue. The blue
looked a lot more like turquoise when I took  the photo.
So I had to do a bit of altering in PSP to get it to show
the right colour.I always have trouble with my reds looking
pink too for some reason! I used some distress ink again
and also another of my latest stamps ( Memory Box
Luminous Poppies). I stamped , coloured  and cut the
flowers out to add behind the little frame. A tiny butterfly
completed the card, come and have a closer look...........
ps. Had trouble with my cold/ virus /Asthma/breathing today. I
just couldn't breathe properly at all and OH was most
worried I might pass out lol.Called 111 and they said
to call an ambulance....oh my! I managed to wait until our surgery
opened and the Dr gave me steroids. Now breathing again
I am glad to report lol.
pps. a big welcome to my latest follower too, welcome aboard!
