The Flower Challenge #17 Reminder

Hi there friends, I am back with another reminder card for 'The Flower Challenge'. Our theme this month is 'Paper Piecing'. See our blog for more details if you are unsure what to do.

For my second card I used a piece of paper with a flower on like last time. I thought it was a novel idea to use a flower on a flower. I used a rose this time ;) Anyway come and have a peek at my card.

You have until the 25th Feb to enter our challenge. Also I have a few cards to share from last year, all made for 'The Flower Challenge'. If you visit all the other DT members they should also have cards to share too.

Thanks for your visit and of course ....enjoy your week/weekend whatever you have planned ;)

The Flower Challenge #17 Paper Piecing

Hi there friends, it's time for another challenge over at 'The Flower Challenge'. Here is my DT card,
this month we want to see some 'Paper Piecing'. Please make a note that is it is Paper PIECING and not Paper Piercing !....so easy to confuse the two!

Come and have a peek at my card, I hope it inspires you to take part. If you haven't tried this before, you just have to use a piece of patterned paper on part of your image. See the DT's examples if you are not sure ;)

White Linen card
Silver sparkly card
AltENew Build a flower Anenome stamp & die
Penny Black Love die
Brenda Walton scrapbook design paper
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Gamsai Tambi paint

I made an A6 top fold card base, added a smaller top piece. Then I stamped my flower and leaves and stamped my flower again onto my patterned paper. I used my flower die to cut my patterned piece.

Then I cut my sentiment and added both to my card topper. I water coloured around my leaves  to match my flower. Then I added the topper to my card base.

Please add our cue card below when entering our challenge.

Hang in There card

Good evening friends, I am sharing my latest
'Less is More' card at long last!
Been so busy organizing a Halloween party
 for the grandchildren yesterday.

I only managed to get the house back to
normal today. Bats, scary mice, posters,
cobwebs with spiders. I went mad as
 usual lol.

I think I may have OHD...
Obsessive Halloween disorder!! Anyway
the littlies enjoyed it all and the numerous
games  we played. Pin the wart on the witch,
also Don't eat Fred (google it) was a big
 hit too.

Anyway I will leave a few photo's below
if you are nosey. Now onto my 'LIM' card.
The them this week is......

Paper Piecing

Why do I always read that as paper
piercing?? I am not a fan of the
subject I'm afraid.....but I did have a
quick go anyway. Please be kind ;)

How lovely to see that Val is a guest
designer over at LIM this week too!!
Great card too Val ;)

Right enough waffling, here is my card.

ps. Glad you can't see me as I write this
as I am waving a bat (for getting flies with)
madly all around me. A drated fly is driving
me mad swooping wildly at me randomly.

Cat, CAS
Aww look at that cute kitty !

White Linen card
OpalManor digi image
Pink Petticoat Watercolour stripes
& PP Woodgrain digi papers

Computerized sentiment

Will just show you this one, but all the lounge was full of stuff too lol.

I put lots of signs up, this was outside the bathroom.

Lilac butterflies card

It's week 73 over at 'Less is More' and this time
 it's a recipe, which is .................
 'Paper Piecing'
I read that as 'paper piercing' at first lol, must look
more clearly next time ! Luckily I thought of an idea
quite quickly this time, I do hope my mojo has
reappeared. I printed a DSB digi butterfly I have
had for a while now. After chalking that image with
a nice lilac shade I stuck that to the card base.
Then  I printed another butterfly onto a sheet of card.
I had already printed the card with PP 'Washed Damask' lilac
pattern. It's very pale the pattern so not sure it shows
up that well here. Also I glamour dusted it  which hasn't
helped you see it, I do like my glitter though. I used my
circle nesties to cut an aperture in another piece of card.
I then matted and 3d'd  that and 3d'd the paper pieced
butterfly just inside. The stamped sentiment is a
'Jane's script' one. I almost left the first butterfly plain
and I think it may have been a better idea now I look
again. Oh well I will remember that for next time. I
added a couple of clear gems to complete the card.I
spent a good few hours today creating a few new
watermarks  for myself in PSP. Much tearing of
 hair too I fear !!!
ps. See my previous post if you want to see pics of
my daughter climbing Ben Nevis for her 40th birthday !
Also new pics of our lovely grandsons above right too, aren't
 they so cute..........well I suppose I am a tad biased lol.Charlie
has a little bee toy strapped to his wrist which he loves.
