New little houses

Hi there, just dropping by with a few pics of some of the latest little houses made by my talented OH again. He has made quite a few to keep himself occupied during the Winter, if he can't get out to do the gardening  etc. or if he isn't doing some DIY.
Hope you like them, I asked him to make a few narrow tall houses and either white or grey so they match our lounge make over. I tend to move them around during the year. I like some for Summer...his beach huts he made mostly and other ones for the colder months.
Otherwise they all sit in our front sun lounge on shelves ;) If he makes more next year goodness knows what I will do with them though  he he!
In other news I was asked to make  a couple of rats (yes I know rats!!!), pics soon. I am also going to try to make some colourful felted collages....gulp!....well out of my comfort zone but I have already bought all the bits so.....

Enjoy your week/weekend whatever you have planned ;)....I am doing Chinese New Year crafts with two of  our grandchildren (they are half Taiwanese so I like to celebrate that). I am also making a coffee cake again too ...they will like that I am sure ;)

Just what I asked him for, here they are sitting on my shelf, the wall is  very light grey so they match really well I think.

                            Two more I asked him for, will use these in the Summer in our lounge.

Little Houses

Hi there friends, just realised I forgot to post my hubbies's latest little houses. I wanted him to make me some and paint them in Spring/Summer colours as he has made a few for Winter and Autumn last year (photo's at the bottom in case you missed them earlier).

 

I just adore them and switch them around with the seasons now, along with similar coloured flowers, cushion covers and paintings we have in the house. We like quite plain colours for floors/walls/curtains so I like to inject a bit of colour for each season with accessories ;)

 

He also made this sweet fairy/mushroom house, I was going to learn to felt little mice so they could peep out of the windows but he wasn't keen on the idea lol. Plus I am still getting my head around learning to felt!!

His latest project is a gorgeous little cottage, he is still painting it as yet, taken him ages to complete this one. He takes his time adding all the small details which make such a difference. The tiny windows he carves takes the longest he says.

He gets his inspiration from other smaller models mostly but likes to add his own details and colours. Anyway come and take a peek at his latest projects. Back with his new cottage too once it's finished ....I love it already ;)

More little houses etc.

Hi there friends, I am back with more things made by my talented OH again. I asked him to make me some little Winter houses last year to fit on my shelf in our lounge.

He made me a  few lovely little houses...(pics in an earlier post) ;) then I asked him to make me some beach huts to go with my Summer look. I like to change small things in there every season, like cushion covers, matching flowers and a large painting.

Yes I do sound a bit mad I know lol, but I have a few I can switch around now and I love how different it makes it all look. We have a dark wood like LVT floor (see earlier pics of new floor) a brown cognac coloured corner leather suite and cream curtains and rugs so it's easy to change the look with accessories.

Anyway now it's Autumn I asked him to make me some Autumn little houses. I have my Autumn cushions, flower arrangement and  Autumn large picture up now of course lol. He made me these sweet little houses and a church and they look so lovely. I have even added little lights inside them so they can be lit up at night 'squeals' ;)

So I am sharing some pics of them here, he also made a kind of manor house too. Our old bird table has seen better days so he made a new one, I love it. Although some annoying bird has since pecked out the little window panes in the middle of them now......I said maybe it was thinking of moving in and thought the window was the entrance lol.

I am sharing a pic of one of my lanterns too, I have added candles for now but dying to try a Christmas arrangement there soon. I am quite obsessed with these lanterns now lol and have a few around the house. My OH dreads seeing yet another I think, little does he know I have two more in my craft room waiting to be deployed he he shhh!

My new obsession may well be  Apothecary jars, I adore them and am trying to source some as we speak. I want some in my new kitchen and will fill them with seasonal things too he he shhh... don't tell!
