The Flower Challenge #13 'Use Your Favourite Flower'

Hi there friends, I am super excited today to announce
it's our 1st Birthday over at 'The Flower Challenge',
can't believe we have been going for a whole year
 already!

Anyway we have lots of surprises for you there, I am
sure you will want to join in. We have Prizes,
Guest Designers and great cards of course.

This month we would like you to
'Use Your Favourite Flower', how easy is that ;)
Here is the cue card below for you to add when entering
our challenge. Please make sure Flowers are the MAIN
image on your cards too.

Please also read all our terms and conditions
there as we are giving away prizes this time we have
a few rules.
We would hate for you to miss out by not
complying!

We also have a new look to our blog there, hope you like
our changes. Anyway here is my card, do try and join in
or at least visit our blog and see all the inspirational cards
 there.

For my first card this month I decided to use this amazing
flower stamp. I have used it a few times now as I really
love it. Definately one of my 'favourite flower' stamps
 at the moment.

Concord & 9th, Hello Lovely, CAS

White Linen card
TH Water colour card
Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamps (from SevenHillsCrafts)
My Favorite Things sentiment stamp (small hello)
Zig Clean Color pens
Versafine Black Onyx ink
Glamour dust
Clear gems

I stamped my flower stamp on to my water colour card.
Then I coloured it  using my Zig pens and a water brush.
Then I stamped my large sentiment onto the card.

I took a very small scrap of card and stamped my
small 'Hello' stamp on that leaving a space at the
top. I coloured the space using a matching  Zig pen.

I stuck that to my card using 3d pads to add a bit
of height and interest. Once finished I added my
panel to an A6 top fold card base. A touch of
glamour dust and a sprinkling of clear gems
 completed my card.

Our challenge closes on the 25th October and we are
back on the 15th with a Reminder card to share.
Good luck everyone !

Few more cards

Hi again, just another quick post today, one card and few 'mistakes'.
The first is for my niece's one year old, where did that year go??
...anyway glad to report she is now expecting baby number two.
Very exciting for us all :) I made this  quick card using a Pink
Petticoat digi image. Don't look too hard at the colouring please.
I had mean't to add glitter to the dress but  then  forgot, so had
to recolour it again,.... didn't take a new pic of course. The hair didn't
turn out great either ! The last two were an idea I had but it didn't
quite work out. Thought I would just show you anyway, after the
second card I lost interest in doing another lol. In the first one
I blurred the stamping, then added trees which didn't look right.
In the second one I did the same again grrrr, gave up after that !
I did like the shape though so just showing you anyway :) Hope
you all have this lovely sun today.I didn't sleep well again
so now off to bathe in a few rays! Take care my  friends.

Alexander is one !

Hi everyone, just a few quick photo's today. It was
our lovely grandson Alexander's 1st birthday on Saturday.
Here is the card I made for him , also two cakes I made too.
The cake stands were made by my OH btw. :)
We held a joint party for our two grandsons as it was the first
time all the family could get together since Charlie's birthday.
Another of  my tri frame photo's made for Alexander also. I made
a similar one for our other grandson Charlie if you remember.
The first one took hours to get the right photo's for but luckily
Alexander was more obliging and  it only took about 10 mins
on and off. He was teething though as you can  see by his
lovely rosey cheeks awwww!
ps. A big welcome to my latest follower too, welcome aboard Beanie!

My first effort making sugarcraft things....must practise more.
Joint cake for Alex and Charlie,a  red velvet one.

Snow pics , cards and a tri frame

Hi everyone, we have snow today, here is a pic of
what we woke up to this morning.More now falling too! Also
an Anniversary card for our son, a first birthday card for our
grandson and a tri framed photo I made for him also.I used
copper coloured pearlized card and wording ( shaded) as copper
is the symbol for the 7th Anniversary....along with wool
apparantly. Louie bear digi image ( Digistamp boutique) used
for the birthday card. The tri frame was an idea I had a while
ago, I had fun chasing our grandson around with the letters to
get just the right photo's. Mostly on my knees too!....you would
laugh if you had seen me. Some ended up on his back, around
his ankle.... and as  a  halo ( the O)  which slipped as he laughed
and also made a funny  photo .Glad I got one with him pointing
as he does that a lot ( ET) is his nickname just now lol. His
parents will be pleased with this keepsake I hope.  I will
do the same for our other grandson in March too.
Stay safe everyone.
ps. Poor Charlie was a bit overwhelmed with all the children/adults
at his party. He spent a lot of time clinging like a limpet to our son.
However he did love his cake.....see pic on right !
Wording is shaded btw. Copper and black and glamour dusted too.

Computerized wording
