The Flower Challenge #59 Use a Die
Hi there crafty friends, it's August so I hope you are currently enjoying some sun wherever you live ? We are having some lovely weather now ....I am hoping (I am writing this back in May and it's cold and wet atm. grr). Update ...yes the weather hasn't been that bad lately!
This month we would like to see you 'Use a Die' on your cards (with the option of making a slimline card) over at 'The Flower Challenge'. Don't forget flowers have to be the 'main' image also. I used a slimline edge die on mine.
Our kind sponsor this month is the amazing 'RachelVassDesigns', Rachel is a previous DT member of course and I am also on her DT. Rachel is giving our winner THREE of her beautiful digital stamps = approx $15.
The very talented Therese Calvird from Lostinpaper.com is once more our Guest Designer too, we always welcome Therese as she is just a jaw dropping designer. Check out her card and also her blog where you will find much inspiration there I am sure ;)
Check out my amazing teamies cards also on our blog!
Enjoy your week and come and take a peek at my card below ;)
For my card I first I used the July release digi called 'Silky Camellia' by RachelVassDesigns. Another digi background again, added my image, die cut the edge with a torn edge die, then water coloured. I used a matching die to the edge of the card base and water coloured the edges before adding my topper.

Oh my Viv, your card is stunning, loving those soft blended colours in the background, I always struggle with that. And thank you for the invite, I don't know how you know that I like flower cards lol.
Gorgeous digital image that is beautifully watercoloured, Viv! It really stands out against the soft blue background. xx
So soft and pretty, Viv. I love how the border makes the flower color pop.
Beautiful watercoloring on the flowers and on the background as well! Love the shadow you added which makes the image look 3D! Fabulous card!
What a stunner this is. Your soft watercolouring of these blooms just highlights them to perfection. A technique you have truly mastered xx
