The Flower Challenge #59 Reminder

Hi there friends, how is your day going so far? I am back with a reminder card for 'The Flower Challenge' today. Our theme this month as you know is 'Use a Die' (with the option of making a Slimline card), an easy one I think too!

RachelVassDesigns (our previous DT member) is our kind sponsor, (I also used one her her digi's) and the amazing Therese Calvird from LostinPaper is our Guest Designer once again.

Thanks for the visit.... you are most welcome, do come and take a peek at my card below.

I made this card the same way as my first card for this challenge. Digi background, then added a RVD digi stamp, this time I used the pretty  'Wildflowers' digi.

I used a torn edge die on the topper and the card base, water colouring the edge and the flowers. I added a few water splashes and a few clear sequins also, my own computer generated sentiment too.

The Flower Challenge #59 Use a Die

Hi there crafty friends, it's August so I  hope you are currently enjoying some sun wherever you live ? We are having some lovely weather now ....I am hoping (I am writing this back in May and it's cold and wet atm. grr). Update ...yes the weather hasn't been that bad lately!

This month we would like to see you 'Use a Die' on your cards (with the option of making a slimline card)  over at 'The Flower Challenge'. Don't forget flowers have to be the 'main' image also. I used a slimline edge die on mine.

Our kind sponsor this month is the amazing 'RachelVassDesigns', Rachel is a previous DT member of course and I am also on her DT. Rachel is giving our winner THREE of her beautiful digital stamps = approx $15.

The very talented Therese Calvird from Lostinpaper.com is once more our Guest Designer too, we always welcome Therese as she is just a jaw dropping designer. Check out her card and also her blog where you will find much inspiration there I am  sure ;)

Check out my amazing teamies cards also on our blog!

Enjoy your week and come and take a peek at my card below ;)

For my card I first I used the July release digi called 'Silky Camellia' by RachelVassDesigns. Another digi background again, added my image, die cut the edge with a torn edge die, then water coloured. I used a matching die to the edge of the card base and water coloured the edges before adding my topper.

I made my card base then stamped my flower spray and used the matching die to cut it out. I coloured my image and attached to my card.

I then stamped a spare flower, coloured that one also, used some coloured pencils for added detail on my flower and then attached it to my card also, my card was then finished.

The Flower Challenge #39 'Use a Die'

Hi there friends, it's December already...how did that happen so quickly? are you all ready for Xmas yet? I think I am just about prepared now but there are always those last-minute things to do aren't there.

Anyway I am back with another DT card for 'The Flower Challenge' again and this time it's 'Use a Die'. In fact I used several dies here and also this faux letterpress technique see how to do it HERE.
We have a prize to give away yet again and this time it's Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps they are giving our lucky winner an e-gift card worth $25.
Our March winner Nancy Penir from Artful-Notions is our talented Guest Designer too, she makes such beautiful cards, do check out her blog if you haven't already.

We really hope you will all try and join us this time for the last challenge of the year. Also a big thank you to everyone who has joined in our challenges all this past year. From all of the Design Team over at 'The Flower Challenge' we wish you all a very Happy Christmas too ;)

Okay here is my card below, come and have a peek and enjoy the rest of your week whatever you have planned ;)

Use a Die, Faux letterpress technique

Smooth White card
Watercolour card
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia dies
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Twisted Metal Tags & Accents
Spellbinders labels 4 die
Crafts Too Embossing Folder Bringing
AlteNew watercolours
Leaf punch
Hero Arts Wet cement ink

I made my card base then cut another panel for the top layer. I added my ink to the 'flat' part of my E/F then added my card topper and ran it through my machine. I added my topper to the base card.
Next I cut out all my elements using the various dies. I watercoloured the flower then inked the smallest die too using matching ink. I did my inking by leaving the card in the die before inking it up to leave an edge uninked.

Then I punched a few leaves and added all my die cuts to my card attaching a pearl to the centre of my flower to finish it off and my card was complete.

You have until the 25th Dec to enter our challenge.
We are back with reminder cards on the 15th again.
Please add our cue card below when entering
 our challenge ;)
