Hi there friends, it's time for another card to share for 'The Flower Challenge'. This month it's.........
'Use your latest Stamps or Dies'....wow how easy is that !
Of course I have new stamps and dies.....I am sure you do too. We keep saying we won't buy any more don't we....then we share 'stuff'...then 'stuff' drops in our basket and before we know it we are at the checkout. I have tried so hard to resist...but let's face it...it's always gonna happen ;) it's our hobby...it's ok...at least that's what I am constantly telling myself lol ;)
Since writing this post I have made another card now so adding it first. These are stamps and dies I bought for Xmas from my dearly beloved. He said to choose what I like...so I did...and quite a lot of them lol....as you do ;)
I think Snowdrops are a good choice for February as we have loads in our garden and they are one of my favourite flowers. So delicate but they can stand up to such low temperatures too. It looks like a tag here ... but it is a card...see other pics ;)
Now for my second card here. I think I love this stamp set already lol, I bought the die too as I think I will be using it a lot. This was all bought just before Xmas I might add. I am happy to say that I haven't bought a single craft thing yet this year and we are 2 weeks into the new year already. Believe me that is a record for me too. (Update... I weakened on week four!)
I am determined to buy less this year and use up some of my massive stash of unused 'stuff'. Darnell ( Dee) you would be proud he he ;)
Anyway I am sure you are just here to see my cards. So here they are below, and of course.... enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)

Sheena Douglass White card
Sheena Douglass Delicate Snowdrops stamps & die
Sheena Douglass Ornate Tags die
TH Distress inks
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Versafine Smokey Grey ink
Glamour dust
Permanent pen black
Promarker grey pen
Ribbon from stash
You can see the card better here. I used my tag die to cut a tent fold card, leaving the top edge out so it makes a 'joined' card edge. It was really hard to cut through it all but I managed it in the end. Then I cut another top part (cutting the whole tag this time) and attached that to my card base.
I used some of the other stamps from the same set for interest in the background. My distress inks were used to colour the card base too.
I stamped my snowdrops and coloured them and then used the matching die to cut them out. I curled the flowers then attached it all to my card. The sentiment was hand drawn as I wanted a fancy one and also wanted to try adding a bit of decoration to my letters too.
I used my fancy scissors on two edges and coloured the whole thing to match my card also. A touch of my usual glamour dust, a bit of ribbon and my card was complete.
Sheena Douglass White card
The Ton stamp 'Wishful Wildflowers'
Clearly Besotted sentiment
Torn edge die
AltEnew watercolours
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Neat & Tangled sequins
Polychromo pencils
I made my top fold card base then on another piece of card I stamped my flower image. Then I coloured my image and used my pencils for more detail on the flowers and leaves.
I did a very loose watercolouring around my image and all over my card piece using the same green colour. I cut the edge part using my die, then I stamped the sentiment and used 3d pads to stick to my card base.
A sprinkling of sequins and my card was complete.

Two very pretty cards. The first tag card is so eye catching and striking. The ornate tag die looks fabulous and what a delicate snowflake stamp and die. Love how you did you're own sentiment writing, which looks so pretty. Your second card is so beautiful. Great blog header too to match your stunning card x.
These are both so beautiful Viv, I have seen so many of your amazing cards I am hoping that while away I can get motivated to paint my little heart out. Love the design of the first card and that stunning die cut looks so so pretty and then the second one, well I have that stamp and have got to colour it up again. Looks beautiful with that wash of green behind it and on that fabulous die.
Such fabulous inspiration for everyone. xx Hugs Aileen
I AM proud of you, Vee! You used your schtuff beautifully making these two spectacular floral designs! The snowdrops using the tag shape are so dainty and divine. I love the photo with the real thing, too! And your coloring on your Just Because card is perfection. Love the deckled edge, too! Hugs, Dee
Both cards are beautiful and snowdrops are one of my favorite flowers...so that is my favorite here...
Good that you are well aware to buy not too much...Proud of you for trying; think that alone will make a different in what you buy and the things going into checkout will be usefull new articles for your hobby!
(This year I bought a stamp that I liked for more than a year and 16 pencils and cubes to colour with; I had decided and made a list of the colours so I wouldn't buy not needed colours... So feeling good in that compartement :) ) Hugs, Gerrina

Viv I love love your snowdrop card! The vintage look is gorgeous and you did an awesome job. Love the wildflower card as well and the colors of the flowers are beautiful with the background. Great job!
That snowdrop card is precious, Viv. I love the inking around the edges and in the background. I'm so glad you included a photo of your actual snowdrops. The second card is lovely. I like how the wash fades out on the right edge.
Vivien, I love this Snow Drop tag, these delicate flowers look just like the ones growing in your garden, how gorgeous is that!!
Your second card is just as beautiful, love the vibrancy of the pinks against that fabulous green color wash, the bling just completes this card perfectly.
XO, my friend.
Maria.
