The Flower Challenge #77 Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies
Hi there friends, hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Happy New Year celebrations too. We had a lovely time. I am back to share another DT card for 'The Flower Challenge' again. Also my favourite 4 cards from last year over at TFC, see below my DT card.
We skipped January and the FC's #76 challenge this year to give all the DT a break. Now we are back with #77! Aileen is taking over more FC duties also, I am taking a step back....my OH was diagnosed with cancer and has had an op and more ongoing treatment yet. So many trips to A&E in the early hours,...... don't want a repeat of that this year. I have had more stomach and eye problems also but I am trying to still make cards and help with graphics etc. at the FC. Will try and get back to commenting more also.
Still decluttering our house, my craft room is such a disaster atm. arghhh! I can't find anything since my OH decided to add more insulation to one part of the top of my ceiling in the bay window area and I had to move a lot of stuff. So many boxes and stamps everywhere. Anyway I did manage to make this card in the end.
Okay so onto our next challenge!
This month our theme for February over at 'The Flower Challenge' is 'Use your Latest Stamps or Dies'. As I seem to keep on buying yet more new flower stamps or dies (as if I don't have enough already), I don't think it will ever be a problem for me lol!
This is what I came up with using my latest additions to my craft room ;) Do come and have a peek and of course enjoy your week whatever you have planned! Phew sorry for the long post too!!
Water colour card
Altenew Feathered Lilies project kit (I used the stamps from the kit)
Edge die was from a few toppers I cut earlier to save time so no idea sorry.
Altenew water colours
Pretty Pink Posh black gems
My four favourite FC cards from last year.
Our challenge closes on the 25th February,
please add our cue card below when entering our challenge.

The Flower Challenge #29 'Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies'
Hi there friends, it's time for another card to share for 'The Flower Challenge'. This month it's.........
'Use your latest Stamps or Dies'....wow how easy is that !
Of course I have new stamps and dies.....I am sure you do too. We keep saying we won't buy any more don't we....then we share 'stuff'...then 'stuff' drops in our basket and before we know it we are at the checkout. I have tried so hard to resist...but let's face it...it's always gonna happen ;) it's our hobby...it's ok...at least that's what I am constantly telling myself lol ;)
Since writing this post I have made another card now so adding it first. These are stamps and dies I bought for Xmas from my dearly beloved. He said to choose what I like...so I did...and quite a lot of them lol....as you do ;)
I think Snowdrops are a good choice for February as we have loads in our garden and they are one of my favourite flowers. So delicate but they can stand up to such low temperatures too. It looks like a tag here ... but it is a card...see other pics ;)
Now for my second card here. I think I love this stamp set already lol, I bought the die too as I think I will be using it a lot. This was all bought just before Xmas I might add. I am happy to say that I haven't bought a single craft thing yet this year and we are 2 weeks into the new year already. Believe me that is a record for me too. (Update... I weakened on week four!)
I am determined to buy less this year and use up some of my massive stash of unused 'stuff'. Darnell ( Dee) you would be proud he he ;)
Anyway I am sure you are just here to see my cards. So here they are below, and of course.... enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)

Sheena Douglass White card
Sheena Douglass Delicate Snowdrops stamps & die
Sheena Douglass Ornate Tags die
TH Distress inks
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Versafine Smokey Grey ink
Glamour dust
Permanent pen black
Promarker grey pen
Ribbon from stash
You can see the card better here. I used my tag die to cut a tent fold card, leaving the top edge out so it makes a 'joined' card edge. It was really hard to cut through it all but I managed it in the end. Then I cut another top part (cutting the whole tag this time) and attached that to my card base.
I used some of the other stamps from the same set for interest in the background. My distress inks were used to colour the card base too.
I stamped my snowdrops and coloured them and then used the matching die to cut them out. I curled the flowers then attached it all to my card. The sentiment was hand drawn as I wanted a fancy one and also wanted to try adding a bit of decoration to my letters too.
I used my fancy scissors on two edges and coloured the whole thing to match my card also. A touch of my usual glamour dust, a bit of ribbon and my card was complete.
Sheena Douglass White card
The Ton stamp 'Wishful Wildflowers'
Clearly Besotted sentiment
Torn edge die
AltEnew watercolours
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Neat & Tangled sequins
Polychromo pencils
I made my top fold card base then on another piece of card I stamped my flower image. Then I coloured my image and used my pencils for more detail on the flowers and leaves.
I did a very loose watercolouring around my image and all over my card piece using the same green colour. I cut the edge part using my die, then I stamped the sentiment and used 3d pads to stick to my card base.
A sprinkling of sequins and my card was complete.
