LIM Guest Designer #386 Water

Hi there friends, I am honoured to be Guest Designer over at the 'Less is More' challenge this time. I do love joining in their challenges as you probably noticed lol. Their theme is 'Water' this time, it can be in any form...water, ice, snow so lots of possibilities here.

I went with 'raindrops' as I found these unloved stamps which had been sitting looking at me for a while now. The first card I made didn't work out as my sentiment covered my raindrops ....argggh and it was going so well at first!  anyway I made another (see my second card below).

Hmm I wasn't so keen on the raindrops I used this time... so back to making another like the first one I messed up lol. Are you still following me ? I then made another card (the 1st one you see below)...this time leaving a space for my silvery embossed  sentiment.....and relax !

I added a few more raindrops in between my sentiment using some different raindrop stamps I have. I gave it all a watery background before stamping. A bit of shadow and highlight and my card was complete.

I made a couple more cards too but I will show you those in another post soon. Hope you enjoy seeing them all and hope you will join in the challenge this time too ;)

Anyway thanks for the visit and come and have a closer look at my cards......

I too have this stamp set and it is woefully underused (actually unused I think). Funnily enough I had a dream about it this last week and was determined to use it and SOON. You can imagine my delight when I saw the challenge at Less is More. I hope I find time to play and I hope my card is as lovely as yours.

Well, both of your versions look superb Viv. Your designs are just stunning! Incredibly CAS but with so much interest too. I love those raindrop stamps because they look so 3d and the watery backdrop is really pretty. Thanks so much for being a wonderful guest designer for us at Less is More xx

Beautiful Viv - those raindrops are so realistic! Worth persevering with your placement - CAS does not always mean quick when thing don't go to plan, does it?!

So sorry for the late visit, Viv! Thanks so much for guest designing for us, I love both versions. Such a lovely green/blue wash behind your images, and those drops look fabulous. You've inspired me to dig out my water drop stamps and use them again, they've only been inked up once before! Hugs xx
