Have a Happy Day card

Good afternoon friends, hope you are enjoying your weekend
so far ! I have been busy cooking and baking mostly today.
I will add a quick photo of my lemon cake below if you are
 nosey ;)

We are being treated to a lunch out too, happy days ;)

Anyway back to my card for this week's 'Less is More'
challenge. It's a sketch this time and here's what I
came up with....in between baking lol !

Circles, LIM, CAS

White Linen card
Penny Black Wishes stamps
TH Crackle stencil
MFT sentiment stamp
Mama Elephant die (for around sentiment)
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Hero Arts Shadow ink Tide Pool & Stonewash
Avery Elle ink Raspberry
Dovecraft chalks
Glamour dust
Neat & Tangled Clear sequins

The bg. stencilling is very pale, hope you can see it here.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned ;)

Ooops almost forgot.... and here is my Lemon cake....heart shaped btw.
with freeze dried raspberries on top. Hope my DIL's visiting
relatives approve ....they loved the chocolate one I made them
last week anyway. They have come all the way from Taiwan ;)

First of all, that is a gorgeous cake! What a nice accent to use the dried raspberries. I LOVE the heart shape. I bought my teen niece (who is interested in baking) some heart pans for Christmas, and later I heard that she won't use them because "she doesn't like hearts.' ????

Anyhow, that card is lovely too. I like the clean look and the bright colors. Lovely job, have a good time with your visitors!

IT has to be the card first - I love the stamps in the circles, they make such a great detail to this simple but as always wonderful card.
As for the cake, look at that cream filling and topping, oh! my goodness I has gained 5 pounds just looking it LOL. How beautiful you have made it look, I bet it tastes as good as it looks too. Love it.
