The Flower Challenge #55 Pretty Pastels

Hi there friends, hope you have been enjoying the warm weather we had recently here in the UK? Partial end of lockdown and so we have seen our children and grandchildren's been over 3 months !

Wow that was sooo lovely too I must say. Now we just need to get more things open and be able to see more people and indoors and it will be amazing! Stay well and safe everyone.

Today I have more cards to share as it's now April and we have another challenge for you over at 'The Flower Challenge' again.

This month our theme is 'Pretty Pastels', what could be nicer for Spring too! Our kind sponsor this month is Varadasharma with a $10 gift code prize for our winner.  Varada also gave some of our team some of her beautiful digi images to use on our cards. I chose to use two of her lovely digi's on my cards here.

The Guest Designer this month is our December winner Keia, do visit our blog to see her gorgeous card.

Okay  do come and see my card below and thanks for the visit  and I hope you come again soon ;)

I made this card by stamping my images, I used the Varadasharma 'Pocket full of Roses' digi stamps and colouring using Altenew watercolours. I used a soft green to colour the background and added a few clear sequins.

2nd card

I made this card using the Varadasharma digi 'Pretty Poppies', it's so beautiful. I coloured it using water colours again, TH distress inks this time.
The background is a pale grey digi water colour, I made it grey as I liked the contrast of the two colours together.
A few clear sequins and my card was complete.

While the roses are beautiful it's the poppies that capture my heart, Viv. Love the loose watercoloring on them and the splashy background.

What a beautiful pair of cards, Vivien, love the watercolored look on both, you need to maybe make a video to show us how you create those amazing backgrounds, I always end up with a muddy mess.
Beautifully done, my friend.
Stay healthy and safe.

You know how much I am a fan of your loose watercoloring style! And these two are primo samples of that style! I love them both! That red against the gray is so striking!
