Hi there friends, how is your weekend going so far?
I am enjoying just relaxing today and making cards
I am enjoying just relaxing today and making cards
of course. We are having two of our grandchildren
to stay next week so I am making the most of the
peace and quiet lol. Oh and I had such a shock on
peace and quiet lol. Oh and I had such a shock on
Tuesday!!!...more of that later though ;)....and sorry
long post warning too!
See my previous post if you are nosey about my craft
room organizing. Before and after pics there now ;)
Not that it's finished but I am slowly getting there.
Right back to my card, over at 'Less is More' this week
they want us to do some piercing on our cards. This is
what I came up with, a pierced edging, hope that's ok.
I used my new gull stamps, just had to buy them as
they looked so quirky and they made me smile too ;)
Also using my new cloud stencil and Nuvo drops.
Not great at using either of those yet so make
allowances please!
P.S. About my shock, I was shopping in Waitrose and
saw a little boy who was the spitting image of Prince
George. My first thought was what a good look alike
he would be. (I admit we did stare at each other a
bit lol. Then I spotted him mum, ....and she looked just
like Kate too! Now my confusion was growing.
Then another woman with a girl, in a trolley mentioned
the name Charlotte. To say my mouth fell open was an
understatement! I stared at them briefly, well I suppose
they are well used to that reaction by now lol. Then I
turned my back and looked at the bread to give them
some peace.Never scrutinized bread as much as I did
that day lol.No one else around either so it made it even
more surreal.
I listened to the childrens chatter (asking for treats)
for a while then made my way to the checkout.
Kate was there soon after too, just casually putting
stuff on the conveyor belt. She bought a lot of shopping
(didn't see what though).
When I got back to the car my OH was waiting there
and I told him about seeing Kate.We waited a bit just
drinking our free coffee to see if she came out. She
stopped for a coffee inside first ( ahem yes we did
wait around) but then came skipping out holding
hands with Charlotte.
What a happy sight that was! To think she can just take
the children out and about like that is so lovely I think.
Oh and then she proceded to unpack all her shopping
into the car herself.
So sorry about the long post, (I know I hate having to
read long posts myself). I just had to tell you 'stuff'
anyway here is my card. Of course enjoy your weekend
whatever you have planned ;)

A super card Viv, I love your fun Seagulls.
Great story, I don't know if I would recognise anyone whilst I am shopping - it's just head down and get in and out as quickly as possible, you were very discrete.

Fabulous card, we were obviously on the same wavelength (sorry about the bad pun!). Love how you've used the gulls on your card x
P.S. I think your clouds look perfect!
I can see why you needed those gulls! Your card is amazing!
What a great royal story

Too darn cute...love this sweet stamp set too!
Love this set, another on my wishlist. And I missed out on the cloud stencil for the second time so bought the mini one so I didn't feel left out lol! The perils of being at work when the new MFT stock is announced! haha
Super card and the pierced frame is fine for our challenge. Off to check out your craft room post now :)
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
Yes, those gulls are super cute - and a stitched frame is always a good look in my opinion! Can see why you 'had' to have this stamp - so useful too!
Can understand why you wanted to buy these; they made me smile too! Love the colouring and a beautiful CAS-card like this!

What a wonderful experience for you in Waitrose...One to cherish. Love your fun card today, made me smile. Like the pretty blog header too x
Absolutely Delightful card. Love the fun sentiment.
WOW how lovely to see Kate and the children doing normal things with no one bothering them, although I'm sure a discreet look won't be seen as bothering LOL. Good for them.

Awww, what a fab royal story! How exciting! Loving your card - the gulls are awesome and the pierced frame really sets off that scene. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

=] =] =]
I love your sweet card! That is fun you spotted the royal family. I am glad to hear they are getting on with life in a normal fashion (as possible) for the sake of the kids.
Such h a fun card Viv I love anything with a pun!
hi Viv ... just love your little gull card ... BUT more to the point ... how wonderful for you to meet the royals ... made me laugh when you said you turned round and looked at the bread lol ... that is the sort of think I would do ... (can invade their privacy lol) ... I am so pleased that Kate and the children can do normal things ... have a great week ... happy crafting and love sandy xx
