You're a Star

Good evening friends, hope all is well
with you. Just back today from a few days
away to the beautiful Lake District. I will
show a photo too....see bottom of page.

 More about that later though!

This week over at  'Less is More'
 the theme is...............

'MASCULINE'

This is what I came up with, I even used
some of my favourite card stock for the
 star........I mainly just admire and
stroke it !

Anyway come and have a closer look
and enjoy your week whatever you
 have planned ;)

ps. Ok to just skip this bit if you just
 want to see my card!

Alas our main reason for our trip up
North was for a funeral of a very close
friend.

He was such an amazing artist and teacher,
just no end to his talent...as we found out.
Looking at all his many paintings/sculptures/
pen and ink drawings.....WOW so much
 variety in his work too.

He made some beautiful sculptures which
are to be found in many public places
near where he lived. If you are ever in
Lancaster, see his 10 stages of Christ
sculptures in the church at the University
 there.

We were so lucky to be given some of his
artwork by his lovely wife to remember him
 by also.

I must say he has inspired me so much
yet again looking at all his work. I am even
tempted to get out my watercolours and
try painting....oh my !

Sorry to hear of your loss. I hope his artwork provides some level of peace. It was kind of his wife to share at such a time.

Great masculine card Viv! Love the colours, so often masculine cards have dull, muted colours . . . not this one! So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, but what a lovely legacy he has left! I had to smile at your comment about not liking to use your 'best' card, because . . . I'm the same! I only like to look at it ;0 Have a good week! Hazel xx
