Chicken card
Hi friends, I hope all is well in your world.
Yes it's Saturday yet again and so I have
my usual 'Less is More' card to share
with you.
It's a recipe this time and......
Snippets
The lovely 'Queen of CAS' Chrissie's our
glorious leader over at 'LIM' is celebrating a big
birthday this weekend. (Ssshh .....70.......I know
...I know....I don't believe it either!!!) So anyway
it's Snippets for Chrissie.
Happy Birthday Chrissie!!
Hmm...... I pondered and pondered, hunted
around in my 'snippets' pots......ahem...I have
so many a few around.
Then I saw this cute little chicken die which
had been cut out and left to fend for itself.
I know Chrissie loves chickens so.... now I
had a plan.
I coloured it with some distress inks. Then I
looked through my box of snippets....yes I
have pots AND boxes of them! Anyway I
spied a few printed sentiments.
I cut one out using a wavy die on both sides.
I used a bit of distress inking on the embossed
chicken bits.I embossed the sentiment too.
I added a small star painted to match the
sentiment and job done.Chrissie is a star after all
isn't she ;)
Hmm does that chicken look as if it is heading
back up to the chicken coop ?.......I think so ;)
ps. Have a lovely weekend, we went to see our
new granddaughter yesterday and we are
babysitting her tomorrow too. Our grandson is
off to a party with his parents!
Pleased to report that Amelia now smiles at me
instead of just a puzzled look and a frown lol.
She has a middle name now too Amelia Ai-Mei.
Ai-Mei is pronounced I-Mae, Ai means
'Love' and Mei means 'Beautiful'. Her lovely
Taiwanese mummy chose her second name.
Mummies name means 'beautiful flower'
......isn't that so lovely ;)
Right enough rambling, come and have a closer
look at my card.....
White Linen card
Die-namics stitched rectangle die
Chicken die ...Cuttlebug?..very old anyway
Lawn Fawn stitched die (on sentiment),
used on both sides.
Star from same Die-namics set
Pink Petticoat Sentiment
TH Distress inks
Darice embossing folder
Star gem from stash

Wow, this is perfect for Chrissie, Viv. You know her so well :) There's something very satisying about using up scraps isn't there? Why don't we do it more often? I could make a whole box of cards just using up snippets!
Thanks for sharing with us
