Ribbon thanks card

Good morning friends/bloggers, yes it's Saturday once again.
Just can't believe how quickly the weekend appears !

Here is another 'Less is More' card where the theme
 this week is.............

"A RECIPE
for you
Use a recycled item!
It can be anything, card, ribbon, paper, metal...
anything that has been used before!"

Hmm could be a tricky one this. But then I looked at all
the many bits I hoard constantly and no it seems it
isn't a problem after all !!!

I found a piece of  card which had been discarded
because it had marks on it. It was the top piece of
card from a pack but it had embossed bits like long
fingers all across it grrrr!

So I cut off the marked piece and used it as my base
card. Then I found another off cut and ran it through
my ribbler for texture.

I looked through my discarded 'stuff' pile(s), oh the
shame, how have I accumulated so much! Anyway
I found lots of treasures there.

I found an old tag which was a receipt from some
chiffon and waste silk I had bought ages ago.Oh my
still not made the collages with it either !

It was just a white paper one with writing on so couldn't
use that BUT attached to it are the most beautiful
velvet  crinkly ribbons........result !

How had I not used them before!!!!! Anyway I
quickly cut a few pieces from them and tied them to my
recycled tag.

The sentiment is a new die ( Paper Smooches) I must admit
(note to self) STOP BUYING NEW STUFF ! But I
found an old discarded card front which hadn't
 printed properly.

I loved the colours and thought they mostly matched
the ribbons so I used the die cut with that piece.

I found a few old sequins and some old gems and
they completed my card.

Sorry for the long post again, just wanted to explain
which items I had recycled. Just look at the card
if you don't want to read all this lol.

ps.My computer is running so slowly atm., I must
sort and delete 'stuff'. Sorry if I am late commenting
but it's hard when it takes me so long.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.
Our DIL's parents are over here from Taiwan so
we will be busy having days out with them. If I
go awol that is why :)

Ribbon, velvet,thanks, LIM,CAS

Oops just noticed I have a new follower too. Welcome aboard

Great idea for the ribbon - I hoard bits and pieces like that too and periodically have a purge but maybe I won't do that and try to use it all up instead :-) (although I do donate it to the nursery and/or school craft committee rather than throw it away) x
