Just Because card

Hi there friends, I hope your weekend is going well so far ! I am back to share another card for the 'Less is More' challenge again.

It's the dreaded 'one layer' card and their theme is 'Stencils'. I went with  a green and black card, using a new stencil I have just aquired. Hope you like it, enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned ;)

Oh and if you want a smile today (and haven't seen it on my Instagram page aready) ...scroll down to the bottom!

ps. Kitchen report... end of week one.Three misshaps...more about those soon! The new kitchen is coming along nicely though, lots of dust/plaster about still but it's all getting done.

Paint next, then our units go in, bit of plumbing needs doing to tidy stuff up behind the sink first. I keep going into the kitchen forgetting there is nothing there lol. My OH went to put the food shopping away there too today.... he he. Not just me then.... more soon!

Hello card

Hi there, how is your weekend going so far? we had a few snow flurries but it's not hanging around this time I am pleased to say. Sooo cold though brrr!

I am here to share my latest card for the 'Less is More' challenge once again and this time it's the dreaded 'One layer card' and 'Stencils'. I do have quite a few stencils luckily,... not that that helped me though lol. After a while I came up with this idea, hope you all approve ;)

Believe it or not I did my stencilling quite carefully,  a diamond pattern....then I just decided it needed to be much more 'loose'...so I added more water and softened it. I then added a sweet daisy.....I do like a nice flower as you probably know already lol. Do come and have a quick peek and see what you think...I am happy with it anyway ;)

Of course, as always..... enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)

Purple and Pink card

Hi friends, stopping by to share another
'Less is More' challenge card. The
theme is 'Use a Stencil' this week.
See the usual ps. bit for a piglet story
 too!

For my second card I used my TCW
stencil and pinched some paste my
OH had made. I mixed a bit of alcohol
ink with it and pasted it on the stencil.

I then used a few drops of  3 colours of
alcohol inks on top of the paste. When
that was dry I sprayed some silver
 ink over it all.

I edged the topper with a silver pen,
then added a stamped sentiment and
a few sequins. I stamped the butterfly,
gave that a quick silver spray too, then
gave it the same alcohol ink treatment
also. A tiny bit of sparkle was added
 later to the wings.

Phew job done!, I hope you like it,
the colours are very bright irl ;)

ps. on our way to our usual walk this
morning we came accross a tiny piglet
walking along the main road. So hard
to catch the little thing, much squealing
too.

We managed it in the end, after
holding all the traffic up for a while.
We took it to a local farm we know
(as no pigs around alas), they phoned
another farmer who was coming to get
it.

No idea how it had escaped etc.It went to
sleep being cuddled, must have known we
were vegetarians lol. It was put in a small
dog cage waiting to be reunited with it's
mummy. So a happy ending ;)

Love you card

Here is a card I made for the 'Virginia’s View Challenge'.
We have to use a stencil this time, here’s what I came up with.

distress inking, stencils, watercolour, love you

I used the negative of an old Provo craft die cut as a stencil and some
TH distress inks to colour it. A few spots of colour and also the hearts
 die from the same set.

A piece of twine and a couple of Doodlebug sprinkles and a gem and
 it was complete.
