The Flower Challenge #32 'Embossing Heat/Dry'

Hi there friends, I am here with more DT cards for 'The Flower Challenge'. This month our theme is 'Embossing Heat/Dry', so many possibilities I think.

We have a lovely Guest Designer this month too,  our winner for February Enna, do check out her card on our blog and others she has on Instagram.

I went with heat embossing on my two cards, a rich purple and grey colour combo on my first one, I love this gorgeous Wallpaper Art flower stamp. For my second card I chose this lovely Engagement Wishes stamp I haven't used yet. Just love the Rose Gold E/P from Altenew too so decided to use that on my second card also.

We are being sponsored by Altenew this month and there is a PRIZE for our winner. See our blog for all details. I used Altenew stamps on both of my cards also. More water colouring again from me lol, what can I say...... I just love water colour!

Anyway come and see my cards...and enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)...oh and thanks for the visit too !

Purple & Grey card

Altenew, Wallpaper Art, Purple, Grey, Flower Challenge #32, Embossing Heat/Dry

Smooth White card
Water colour card
Altenew Wallpaper Art stamps
Altenew watercolours
Altenew Clear Embossing ink
Wow White E/P
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Little things sequins
Black gem

I made my top fold A6 card base then stamped and heat embossed my two flowers and leaves.I used a mask for my flowers before adding the leaves.

Then I used water colours on my flowers and leaves and a weaker colour wash all around my images. I was brave and sprinkled a few dots of the same colours over my images. Still a bit nervous of doing that but getting braver now.

I stamped a sentiment on a spare bit of card after water colouring the background to match my flowers. A few sequins and a black gem were added and my card was complete.

Engagement Wishes card

Altenew, Flower, Embossing
Smooth White card
Altenew Engagement Wishes stamps
Altenew Rose Gold E/P
Altenew Embossing clear ink
Versafine Onyx Black ink
TH Distress inks
Little things sequins

I stamped my flower image and also my leaves using a mask on the first flower I stamped. Then I using clear embossing ink then heat embossed using my Rose Gold ink.

I used my distress inks to colour my images and then added a similar colour around them all. After stamping and attaching my sentiment I added a few flicks of the same colour. A few sequins, a touch of black pen for the stamens and my card was finished.

Please add our cue card below when entering our challenge.
You have until the 25th May to enter.

Vivien, both of these cards are gorgeous, I'm always a bit intimidated by large stamps and I admire those who can do such amazing work with them.
Love the colors of these flowers and the amazing watercolor wash on both, the recipients of that engagement card will treasure it "Happily Ever After"
Hugs, my sweet friend.
Maria.

That gray and purple is so fabulous together, Viv, and the splatters came out really well and add something special to your card. I thought it was Brusho colored at first. I love the loosed watercoloring on the second one. The blue and green look great together.
