Giraffe cards

Hi friends, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's
day  yesterday. I had a great day with lots of
flowers/plants/chocs/wine/cards and saw my lovely
 children and grandchildren of course.

I have a couple of cards to show you today.
I made the grey one first and wasn't happy
about it....kept trying but just wasn't working.

Showing you it anyway....then I tried again
with the same image. Much happier this time.
I wanted to get the Giraffe peeking out from
the frame. I think the bit of embossing/chalking
 helped too.

I still struggle a bit with one layer cards.
Sorry the pic is a tad dark but the embossing
 wouldn't show otherwise.

Anyway I wish you all a good week,
whatever you have planned ;)

Both cards are stunning Viv. The giraffe is so cute and I really love the embossed frame design and delicate touches of blue.
Glad you had a lovely time with your family yesterday.

They both look good to me Viv... but I think you're right about the grey on white....it does work so well!

I was also spoiled on Sunday... taken out to lunch by my daughter and boyfriend... then all back to ours for my lovely OH to cook our roast later on. Neils Yard smellies and flowers too... a lovely day!
