LIM challenge week 31 'colour'

It's week 31 now over at 'Less is More' &
this week the theme is  colour and METALLIC

I just couldn't think of a single thing at first,

then I had an idea! aha.....I make wire jewellery

so........why not make a card with metal 

jewellery on it ...an idea was born!

I first cut a shaped card using my trusty 

nesties again ( curved  mega rectangles) &

linen card. Then I made a smaller matt with

the same shape again & embossed it using 

the tiny hearts folder. I edged the smaller

matt with Brilliance 'twilight' ink )( it has 3 

shades) so I used the lilac part( just can't 
see how it shines here though). It has a

very shiny metallic look to it so was perfect

I thought. 

Next I cut two butterflies, one in lilac card and

another one in silver  metallic card using the 

Spellbinders shapeabilities die. I stuck 3 gems 

to the silver butterfly after  first colouring them

to match using my Copics. I made a quick

necklace using some pretty clear and lilac 

crystals & a circular textured ring I had handy.

I put the necklace on the butterfly & 3d those

to the  base card . That was one fiddly job

I won't want to do in hurry again!!!I have

made a similar card ages ago so I am CASeing

my own card a bit here.Quite pleased with

the finished look of this one.The light wasn't 

good so the photo isn't brilliant I'm afraid

though.

ps. I am so excited as I may get to know the

sex of  one of my expected grandchildren

tomorrow :O)
