LIM #438 Baby

Hi there crafty friends, hope you are enjoying your weekend so far ?

I have another card for the 'Less is More'  challenge to share with you today. Their theme is 'baby' this time, I do love a nice baby card I must admit...in fact I also love a nice baby too lol ;)

I searched through my vast set of files in the depths of my computer lol....oh my why do I keep so much 'stuff' ! I found all my best saved baby images I like to use for baby cards. This one jumped out at me as the one to pick ;)

It is very old, it's called Moon Baby, not sure where I bought it now but it is a digi one. I decoupaged the baby and the bow part and coloured with Flexmarkers. The edge dies were Spellbinders Grand ones and I used some distress ink along the edge of the scalloped one. The yellow behind the moon is digital btw.

I used shades of lemon, pink and blue so it could be used for a boy or a girl. A few clear sequins and my card was finished. Hope I left enough white space for  LIM, I tried doing the image smaller but it looked just too little on the card.

Enjoy your week whatever you are up to ;)

Pastel cards and a church

Good afternoon friends, I hope all is well with you.
Blue skies and sun here today, a lovely Spring day!

I am here to show you my latest cards for this
week's 'Less is More' challenge which is a Colour
one and they want us to use 3 pastel colours.

My mojo seems to have gone walkabout alas! I
tried several times to make a card and it just wasn't
working. I made the bunny card first, not happy
 with it still.

I removed one of it's eyes as it just looked so odd
....it was below the first one! It was quite painless
though and the bunny didn't suffer at all ;)

Then I made a baby one, sooo love this image
too. Not happy with this one either lol. I may
be back with another soon if I can find my mojo.
Let me know if you spot it anywhere please!

Also I am posting pics of my OH's latest model,
a church this time...my request ;) It has taken him
a long time to make so I don't think he will want
me suggesting more ideas for a while he he.

He managed to head butt our metal chimney
yesterday too (don't ask) so he has a large cut on
his head. He never tells me at the time (doesn't
want to worry me) so I  was surprised to see the
 state of him.

Not that bad though so no stitches this time
....(thinks of falling off the ladder incident
recently and his badly cut leg!!!).

Anyway I hope you like the church , I helped
with the windows and the 4 clock faces ;)

Two smaller model cottages to come next btw.
Enough of me rambling again, come and have a
look at my pics. Enjoy your weekend too whatever
you have planned. We are having our two young
grandchildren to stay next week....wish us luck ;)

Twinkle twinkle card

Hi friends, it's Saturday again so time to
show you another 'Less is More' card.
 This week the theme is......

"This makes me happy!
It could be a colour, a technique, a design, a
 subject that pleases you... whatever!
However, we would like you to TELL US
what the thing is that pleases you!"

What a lovely challenge ! Well I think most
of you know already about my love of PINK
lol.

My main loves are of course my family, esp.
my gorgeous grandchildren. My other loves
are crafting, making cards, jewellery,
photography, walking, music etc. etc.

But pink and babies do feature quite often
with me. As my lovely DIL's will tell you
lol.

I always pinch the babies for a kiss & cuddle
as soon as they arrive at our house. Often
before they have even got out of the car.
My DIL's find this sooo amusing!!!!

So my card features pink and is a  baby
card. The sentiment is exactly how I
feel about all my 'little stars' .....
or grandbabies ;)

See side pics to see just how adoreable
they are! ....ahem well yes I am a
tad biased !

Anyway here is my card, come and have
 a closer peek.
Btw. I am experimenting using the
'manual' option now with my new fancy
camera. So  pics may vary...but I hope to
 improve as I go.

ps. A big welcome to my latest follower too.
Thank you for choosing me and welcome
 aboard.

Have a lovely week everyone whatever
you have planned. We will be celebrating
Alexander's 3rd birthday on Monday ;)

Giraffe baby card

Hi sweet friends, I hope you are all well and
keeping warm in this cold weather we are
having. Well it's cold here anyway brrrr !!!!
0c here just now.

We have just a sprinkling of snow today
so far. At least we made it yesterday to
look after our grandson for a while to
help out.

This week over at 'LIM' towers it's a
Lucky Dip and the chosen theme is

Little Ones

Of course what cards did I last post here...
........baby cards of course.....so typical !
I made a similar card but used a different
 image this time.

It was also another very small  square
card  (4"x4"). So that goes  with
this week's theme too I think ;)

I still have babies on my mind, see
previous post lol. We found out we are
expecting another granddaughter .

Of  course I am beyond excited
AGAIN !! Thanks for all the good wishes
too,  you are all so lovely even though I
haven't met any of you irl. & many of
you also live in another country.

Card  making/blogging certainly makes it a
very small world. I do appreciate and
treasure your friendship ;)

Anyway come and have a closer look
at my card. I hope you have a lovely
weekend whatever you have planned ;)

Baby card...... and some good news!

Hi friends, I am so excited today to be able to share
a bit of good news for a change. We are very happy
to announce that we are expecting another grandbaby
again!

  A lovely brother/sister for Alexander ;)
It will be our 4th and last I think so very special as
you  can imagine. A few early problems and lots
of scans but the latest scan and blood tests say all
 is well.

It's 3 months now too so I can spread the word.
We have known from almost the first month so it's
been so hard to keep quiet. It will be nice to have a
Summer baby this time also, the last three all arrived
 in Winter.

Anyway here is the congratulations card I made
yesterday, just before I received news from our son
that all the tests were good.I can send it now ;)

No blue or pink of course as we don't know the
sex as yet.  So I went for lilac ;)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all having a great
weekend. Today I have a quick baby card to show you, I
made it for my DIL's sister who just had a baby boy
yesterday.I always like to make an A5 card if it's a special
one to be personalized etc.

Baby card for grandson.

Here is my card for our latest grandson Alexander.
I made it a while ago but have just added birth details
etc. now. It's a BOBEA digi image, such a cute one
I think too. I decoupaged the image and coloured it
with Copics & Promarkers. I added glamour dust
also.I then cuttled a strip of blue card and added
the computerized wording.
Alexander is still in intensive care, may be there a while
longer too, more problems. His mother had low blood
pressure also so she hasn't been that brilliant either,
she couldn't see him until yesterday poor girl. But
things are now improving hour by hour so fingers
crossed all will be well soon.Having our first visit today,
can't wait to see them both now, although it may be
through glass for the baby yet. Thankyou for all your
good wishes too,.....you are all so lovely :) Viv xx

Welcome baby Alexander !

Well he's arrived at long last ...  8 days late!
He was born at about 10.45 am today ( not sure
about details yet) and weighing 8 lbs (?).
We had a bit of a scare too as his mum had a fever
& his heartbeat went up rapidly so he had
to be delivered by cesarean section quickly.
Longest two hours wait of our lives in hospital
this morning! Anyway mum ok now and baby is
ok we think,..... bit of breathing problems so he
is in intensive care unit atm. So not seen mum
or baby yet, can't wait now ! here is a quick pic
my son took just after he was born...he looks the
image of his mum too :) More soon .Viv xx
