The Flower Challenge #81 Use Your Favourite Flower

Hi there crafty friends, I hope all is well in your world! We just spent a lovely relaxing week away in the Lake District with family. Lots of walking and laughing and glad to say good weather also.

It was recently my BIL's 80th birthday and so we surprised him with a 'This is Your Life' tribute. (Several bottles of his favourite red wine in a wooden holder made by my OH for a birthday treat also.) I digitally altered some photo's of him making him a WW2 pilot, an 18th century alchemist and a spy ...lots of others too in his supposed 'other life'. My OH wrote a funny story about each of the photos and I did the photo altering.

Pleased to say it went down very well with everyone (there were 8 of us and 10 next day), we were told to repeat it all next evening after dinner as his son and girlfriend were with us then also. Very relieved it went down very well and we were asked who was the next 'victim' !
It was so much work though I won't be doing it again...alas I daren't tell them that ;)

Anyway sorry about the waffling... I am now back to share another card for The Flower Challenge again. Our theme for June is 'Use Your Favourite Flower', such an easy one I think.

Our talented Guest Designer this month is a crafty friend of mine Christine L from cardsbychristine, check out her amazing card in our gallery!

I am using my new favourite flower which is an Altenew one, (it was also one of my mother's favourite flowers too and we planted a tree in her memory in our garden) all card details below.

The Flower Challenge #56 Use Your Favourite Flower

Hi again, I hope you are all well and having a good week? It's May and so we have a new challenge for you over at 'The Flower Challenge' and it's 'Use your Favourite Flower' this month.

Such an easy one I think, I have so many flower stamps and dies now I am spoiled for choice as I love them all of course. However I did manage to narrow down my choices and in the end I picked some of my latest flower stamps, all details below.

Our Guest Designer this month is Bozena  our November winner, see her beautiful card in our gallery.

All details below, thanks for the visit and I hope you will come back again soon ;)

I made this card by using the Lavinia stencil called 'Pebble'. The stamp is by Pink Fresh Studio and is called 'Infinite Blooms', isn't it fabulous! I used Wow silver E/P and TH distress inks, the sentiment was inked using Gina K Obsidian ink.

ahem......and yes you can see my sentiment didn't ink properly at first so I added another on top...as you do lol ;)

No doubt I will be awash with loads of cardboard boxes packed with all my old kitchen stuff. I hope the two weeks go quickly now. Update!...yes our kitchen has been started and now being plastered too yipee ;)

Smooth White card
Clearly Besotted stamp Thanks a Bunch
Neat and Tangled stencil Rice Paddies
Versafine Onyx Black ink
TH Distress inks
MFT Die-namics stitched die
First I made my A6 card base then added another top panel. I coloured my topper using my stencil and blended several colours of ink through it.
I stamped the flowers direct to my card topper and used a stitched edge die. I attached it all to my card base then stamped a sentiment and attached that also leaving it slightly curved.

Please add our cue card below when entering our challenge.
Also remember to read our rules also to be in with a chance
of a prize this time too.
You have until the 25th August to enter.

Altenew sentiment stamp Floral Art
Altenew Watercolor Stripes stencil
TH Distress inks
Versafine Onyx Black ink
N&T sequins

These are my favourite stamps so far , I just love these pretty flowers! I used a stencil and softly coloured my background then stamped and coloured my flowers and leaves in these two pretty colours.

I fussy cut them all  then attached them to my topper and then my A6 card base. I raised some of the flowers up using 3d pads for interest. Then I added my stamped sentiment colouring the edge of the card to match my pink flowers.

A touch of glamour dust and a sprinkling of sequins and my card was complete.

This is another favourite stamp of mine and also a Clearly Besotted one too. Seeing as they are sponsoring us this month I thought I would include a card using it also.

I made the card the same way as the last one, except that I stamped direct to my card topper and didn't fussy cut my flowers this time. I quite like the blue and peachy colour combo too, not one I have used before I think either.

Here is our cue card below, please include it if you enter our challenge.
You have until the 25th August to enter, more details on our blog if wanted.

The Flower Challenge #13 'Use Your Favourite Flower'

Hi there friends, I am super excited today to announce
it's our 1st Birthday over at 'The Flower Challenge',
can't believe we have been going for a whole year
 already!

Anyway we have lots of surprises for you there, I am
sure you will want to join in. We have Prizes,
Guest Designers and great cards of course.

This month we would like you to
'Use Your Favourite Flower', how easy is that ;)
Here is the cue card below for you to add when entering
our challenge. Please make sure Flowers are the MAIN
image on your cards too.

Please also read all our terms and conditions
there as we are giving away prizes this time we have
a few rules.
We would hate for you to miss out by not
complying!

We also have a new look to our blog there, hope you like
our changes. Anyway here is my card, do try and join in
or at least visit our blog and see all the inspirational cards
 there.

For my first card this month I decided to use this amazing
flower stamp. I have used it a few times now as I really
love it. Definately one of my 'favourite flower' stamps
 at the moment.

Concord & 9th, Hello Lovely, CAS

White Linen card
TH Water colour card
Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamps (from SevenHillsCrafts)
My Favorite Things sentiment stamp (small hello)
Zig Clean Color pens
Versafine Black Onyx ink
Glamour dust
Clear gems

I stamped my flower stamp on to my water colour card.
Then I coloured it  using my Zig pens and a water brush.
Then I stamped my large sentiment onto the card.

I took a very small scrap of card and stamped my
small 'Hello' stamp on that leaving a space at the
top. I coloured the space using a matching  Zig pen.

I stuck that to my card using 3d pads to add a bit
of height and interest. Once finished I added my
panel to an A6 top fold card base. A touch of
glamour dust and a sprinkling of clear gems
 completed my card.

Our challenge closes on the 25th October and we are
back on the 15th with a Reminder card to share.
Good luck everyone !
