RVD Happy Mail

Hi there, how is your day going today? I am sharing a card I made using another of the February release digi's from RachelVassDesigns called 'Happy Mail'. I decided to go with a vintage look to my card.

I used water colour card and an old digi rectangle digi I had. The sentiment box is an old digi image too. I added my RVD digi image and the sentiment is a RVD one too.I cut it out and added 3d pads to make a topper to my A6 card base. A bit of water colouring and my card was complete.

RVD Bear-illiant

Hi everyone, today I have more cards and another digital stamp image from RachelVassDesigns from the February release to share again. This one is called 'Bear-illiant', oh my these bears are sooo cute too!
I made several cards in the end, hope you like them all.

ps. Happy to report we have both had our jabs now...and I had mine on our Golden Wedding Anniversary  day too...won't forget that will I ;)

I made a digital background again, added my sweet bears and sentiment, coloured with Copics, job done ;)

Made the same way as the first card, except I made my own dotted sentiment box here too.

This time I added some spiders web type material behind my image for interest. I added some kisses digitally also here, plus a few black sequins.

I made this one the same way too, I added the box, background and grass digitally here also.

RVD Magnolia Background

Hi there friends, today I have another RachelVassDesigns digi to share again. The new release is called 'Magnolia Background'. Magnolia's have always been special to me as they were such a favourite of my mother's.
We have a beautiful one in our garden, it's got very large now and we love to see it flower each Spring. Anyway back to my card, I printed my design and used water colour once more (surprise surprise!).
I added the sentiment from the set too and gave it centre stage as it's so perfect. I would like to dedicate it to you all for all the lovely comments you always leave me, much appreciated ;)

RVD Summer Border Slimline

Hi there friends, I am back with more DT cards for RachelVassDesigns. The new digi release is called 'Summer Border Slimline'.  As slimline cards are so popular right now I think this is such a gorgeous digi to use.

I must admit to buying a few slimline dies lately too so you will be seeing more of these I think in coming weeks.  Anyway back to my cards, I made two this time, the first was made using  my favourite colours.

For my second card I used warmer shades, reds, oranges and yellows...with a hint of purple, blue and grey also.

RVD Handful of Tulips

Hi there friends, I hope all is well in your world today? I am sharing more DT cards made for RachelVassDesigns as she has a new release again. This one is called 'Handful of Tulips', it's so beautiful too!
I made a few cards, ....well in fact I made four lol! ....love this digi so much. I made them all using water colouring again, I used some other digi bits too. The Tulips and the sentiments are all from the same set though, see below my cards for all details. All available in the Etsy shop HERE.
Adding the last card again today as I used the new digi image, I used a similar method but this time I also added the 'Summer Leaf Background' digi image of Rachel's to my card. See my older post for details of that digi.
As a few people were asking how I do the water colouring using digi images I have done a little tutorial. I don't do video I'm afraid, so instead I added some pics of the process. I hope some of you will find it useful. I used the first card here and I will post it tomorrow in a separate post or it will just be too long for this post I think.
So happy to say I am at last getting to grips with the new blogger format and posting cads using it, have you mastered it yet ?

RVD Summer Leaf Background

Hi there friends, I am back with two new cards and a new release from RachelVassDesigns again. It's called Summer Leaf Background, so pretty too. I think it could be used as a background for lots of the other digi images also.
I used the leaves background and various shades of water colour. I used one of the sentiments which come with the set and added a few sparkly sequins too. The next card was made much the same way also with the addition of flowers.

RVD Home Sweet Home cards

Hi there friends, I am back with more cards and a new digi release again from RachelVassDesigns. This one is called 'Home Sweet Home'.  I made three cards, for the first I went for a beach house look as it has a beach scene in the background.

For the second card I was going for a sunrise/sunset look in the background using the sweet wreath and sentiment which comes with the set. For the third card I was just experimenting with stripes and a patterned background to the inside of the house ;)

RVD Fabulous Floribunda cards

Hi there friends, I am back with more DT cards made for RachelVassDesigns. Rachel has a new digi release today called 'Fabulous Floribunda', it's so gorgeous too!

I made these three cards using it and also made matching envelope liners too, come and see what you think. As you can see (pic at bottom) there are several flowers , leaves and sentiments. See Rachel's Etsy shop to buy anything.

RachelVassDesigns Happy Butterfly cards

Hi there friends, I have a new digi release to share from RachelVassDesigns again. This time it's called 'Happy Butterfly' , well this butterfly certainly looks very happy to me ;)

Back to my usual water colouring again! I made two cards, for the first one I used my favourite colours again. More water colouring as usual  and a bit of 'splattering ' too.


For my second card I printed the digi image in blue this time for a change. I also  used the  digi  and made it into a plain solid 'stamped' image in pale blue and then in white and added them underneath it for some added interest. 

I water coloured my image ,added my background, Rachel's matching sentiment which comes with the image ...and a few more digi bits to finish my card.
