Soo hot for June...am wondering what the rest of the Summer has in store now...will update later:)

August update... it was boiling in August!!! 54C in our back sunlounge at one point....will add a pic at the bottom in case you don't believe me ;)

Anyway I am here with another challenge for you from The Flower Challenge and our theme for September is.... an easy one.... 'Add Sparkle'...now how easy is that !

So come and take a quick peek at my card below and enjoy your week whatever you have planned.

Quick  health update! I am having quite a few health problems this year and now my dear OH is having some too so lots of visits to the hospital etc etc. As you can understand things are getting a bit hectic with me lately.

So sorry if I haven't been leaving anyone comments lately too but this is why. Also we are thinking of moving house at some point also so that will keep me busy too. I am stepping back a bit with all I do for The Flower Challenge for now also, although I will still be making cards and on the team. Thanks for understanding ;) Vx

The Flower Challenge #47 Reminder

Hi there friends, I am back with another reminder post for 'The Flower Challenge'. Our theme is 'Add Sparkle', such an easy one I am sure you will all agree!

This time I went for a mainly Blue and Yellow colour combo with a touch of green thrown in the mix too. I water coloured a random background and added a vague bit of a sentiment  for interest also.

Then I stamped my Altenew 'Precious Peony' stamp  and water coloured all my flowers and leaves. I added lots of sparkly sequins and more Glamour Dust and Diamond Dust, it looks very sparkly irl too!

I cut my main panel at the bottom and left a gap for more interest, also it's a great place to 'hide' another sequin ;) I have loved making my two sparkly cards, random fact.....  I get called a Magpie by my lovely SIL as she knows how much I like anything which sparkles lol.

It seems one of our grandsons may have inherited that too as he now has a collection of sparkly stones too ;)

Thanks for the visit and any comments you may leave and enjoy your week whatever you have planned !

Please add our cue card below when entering our challenge,

The Flower Challenge #47 Add Sparkle

Hi there friends, it's time for another challenge again over at 'The Flower Challenge'. Our theme this month is 'Add Sparkle'. Such an easy peasy one I think as there are so many things which can add sparkle to a card. Gems, sequins, shiny embossing, glitter...well you get the idea I am sure ;)

Our Guest Designer this month is the amazing Darnell Knauss, or Dee as I like to call her...long story...don't ask lol ! ;) she is not only a fabulous card maker but such a complete hoot too! do visit her blog (if you haven't already...where have you been ?) and you will find much inspiration..... and lots of hilarity there too!

Anyway this is what I came up with, I used the Altenew 'Garden Picks 3D dies' and also the Altenew 'Fine Alphabet' dies too. I water coloured the panel behind the alphabet part and water coloured and layered all the flowers and leaves also. I used my favourite colours again you may have noticed lol.....my next card is different I promise!

I added lots of extra sparkle (irl is sparkles so much) by using my Glamour Dust and Diamond Dust  and also a sprinkling of sparkly sequins too. I hope you like it , do visit our blog and see what  amazing card Darnell made and the ones my team mates have made  too ;)

Flower Challenge, Sparkle, CAS

White Linen card
Silver sparkle card
MFT Die-namics Big Hello die
Versafine Smokey Grey ink
AltEnew Frosted Garden stamps
Silver sequins

This is so sparkly irl....hard to see here though.

I made an A6 side fold card base then stamped my flower images straight to the card.
I used Linen card to give it a bit of texture too.
I cut my Hello sentiment using two layers of white card and silver card and glued them together. I then attched the sentiment to my card and added a few sequins and my card was complete.

The Flower Challenge #25 'Add Sparkle'

Hi there friends, I am here with more DT cards to share for 'The Flower Challenge'. It's an easy one again, well  I think so anyway....we want you to.....'Add Sparkle' . So add some glitter, sequins, gems etc. to add a little sparkle to your cards.

I think this months challenge is appropriate for us too as it's also our 2nd Birthday and we are feeling all 'sparkly' ;) I can't believe it's been two years...but months rush by don't they! we have certainly enjoyed seeing all your fabulous cards in our gallery each month. I do hope you keep joining us over the next coming months and years also. We do so love seeing what you make !

Anyway just to mention there are also a few surprises for our winners this time, including PRIZES! and a Guest Spot for someone too. See our blog for more details! now come and see my cards ;)

AltENew, Catteleya, Pretty Pink Posh
White Linen card
AltEnew Build a Flower 'Cattleya' stamps & die
AltENew water colours
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Copic pen
Little Things sequins
Orange Pearls from stash
Quickie glue pen
Glamour dust
I hope you can see all the sparkle I used here better.

I made my card base then stamped and coloured my flower images. After adding some quickie glue and lots of glamour dust I attached them to my card. I raised the top flower up using 3d pads  for interest.

Then I stamped my sentiment and went around the edge using a matching Copic pen and attached it to my card also. A few matching pearls and my card was finished. Now I think about it gems would have added even more 'sparkle' but these pearls matched and I was eager to use them ;)

I also made this card, hope you can see all the 'sparkle' ;)
