The Flower Challenge #52
Hi friends, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all a very Happy New Year too! This is the first challenge for 2021 over at 'The Flower Challenge' and this month it's 'Embossing Heat or Dry'.
The fabulous Jyoti from cardsncraftynyc is our Guest Designer and I have designed an A4 calendar as a freebie, all details on our blog HERE.
As it's the end of another year all the Flower Challenge team have chosen their four favourite cards from last year. I have made a graphic for us all and here is my choice below. See my teamies blogs for their choices and I have already done a separate post on our FC blog with them all on too ;)
Okay grab a cuppa and come and take a peek at my card below ;) Thanks for the visit and enjoy your week whatever you have planned ;)...we are now in tier 4 so we haven't much planned of course, but we do love our walks in the forest, so happy with that for now. Stay safe lovely friends!
I used the faux letterpress technique, (inking a folder (old Cuttlebug one) and then running it through my machine) for my background. I used some DI in Picked Raspberry ink and water colouring for my flowers.
The flowers are from The Ton 'Wishful Wildflower' and I used the matching die too. The edging die is a Hero Arts one 'Postage Stamps' and the sentiment stamp and matching die is from The Ton also 'Easy Expressions'.
The latter was quite expensive and I wasn't sure it was worth the money but glad I bought them now as it is a great set and I will use it a lot I think.
My favourite four Flower Challenge cards from last year.
Please use our cue card below when entering our challenge. You have until the 25th January to enter.

The technique looks so pretty on your beautiful card Viv x. Wow to your four favourite cards....all are stunning x.
Oh Vivien, what an amazing technique, I've seen it but I haven't tried it yet.
Tell me, which side of the embossing folder did you ink up?
Your spray of flowers are gorgeously colored, I love the combination of pink and blue because it creates a gorgeous shade of lilac.
Awesome card, my friend.
Stay healthy and safe.
Hugs.
Maria.
LOVE your bright and bold background with picked raspberry faux letterpress. Seems like I am definitely in sync with the team as there's a few of us that love pink! :) The embossed background looks fabulous die-cut with the postage stamp die. And I LOVE your beautiful flowers. Such a pretty mix of colours. xx
I love the way you did the background, Viv. And those flowers just glow on top of it.
Your card is so bright and pretty! It'll surely brighten the recipient's day! And I love the mix of pink, violet and purple with a hint of blue on your flowers! Your picks from the last year are all so beautiful, too!
Gorgeous card Viv and I love the way you used the embossing folder. So pretty and the flowers are stunning!
Finally catching up on comments I love your card that embossed and coloured background just perfect with the flowers you used.
