Golden Wedding Anniversary card

It's week 75 over at 'Less is More' and it's a colour
theme this  week which is................
GOLD
I have just made a Golden Wedding Anniversary card
for my neighbour to give to her friends so as it's quite a
LIM one I think it qualifies. I tried a few ideas for this card,
in the end I decided simple and classy would be the best
look. I hope I achieved that, the card was well received I
hear so that's the main thing. I used my nesties for the hearts
and embossed them with my tiny hearts folder. Then I used
my scalloped hearts in gold as  border. A few punched hearts
in gold and a computerized sentiment completes this card.
After seeing a pic of Wow embossing powder on Mandi's blog
I just had to buy some.....well it was in pink so what choice
did I have lol !! I also bought some in green and blue too lol, it
looks fabulous, not used it yet though....will report back soon.
I have bought so much craft stuff lately , must stop it !!!...not
easy though is it ! Btw. Wow have an offer on their powders if you
look on the 'Less is More' blog, they are also sponsoring them
 this month too.

ps.Story about flooding follows, sorry it's a bit long!
The sun is shining today for a change, I hope it continues.
Our eldest son is biking around our coast for three days from
yesterday. He got rained on riding to the train station but been ok
after that when he started his ride. Fingers crossed it's ok for
 the next two days.
All this horrid rain and flooding reminded me
of my daughter and her husband when they went camping last year.
They decided on Wales, she woke up in their tent in the early hours
only to find her sleeping bag was kind of floating. She realised how
serious that was and sprung into action. She woke her husband and
her husbands brother and girlfriend who were also in a tent
beside them. She has never moved as fast in all her life she said,
( she does everything at top speed anyway luckily!). They quickly
literally threw their stuff into their Landrovers beside the tent then they
drove to higher ground. There was a river just lower down from
their tents. They had checked it when they went to sleep and
it wasn't even that full. During the night the river had burst it's banks
and the rapidly moving water swept away everything in  it's
path a few minutes after my daughter had woken up. They
could easily have drowned  in the torrent of water. They  just
managed to move their stuiff in time but her husbands brother wasn't
as quick and  they lost quite a few belongings. They found some
of them down the river later on after much searching. It seems
the people who rented the field out had warned other campers
earlier but as they were out he didn't  even bother to leave a note
warning them that the river might flood !!!!! It hadn't happened
before apparantly but they were worried by it. Lucky escape then.
I really feel for all the people who have been flooded out just recently
and now are at serious risk again. Stay safe everyone.
