The Flower Challenge #2 Occasion

Hi everyone, it's the second challenge over at 'The Flower Challenge' and I have my DT card to share with you today.  
All I can say is WOW sooo many beautiful cards were entered last month and it was such a difficult job to choose the Winners and HM's.     We hope you will all join in again and show us your amazing floral creations ! Please  visit my link for more details and also to see  my fellow team members too HERE  and to show them some comment love ;)     This month the theme is........   'OCCASION'    (Any special occasion for you) Anyway here is my card, I went with acetate this time and a Christmas theme. Not the easiest  card to work with or photograph!!! but I must  admit I do rather love the look of it.     I used some snowfall acetate as this was a Christmas card. The Penny Black flower stamp is soo pretty! I stamped it on vellum and heat embossed it, then layered it twice and added some glamour dust for sparkle.

Autumn Colours

Hi friends just popping by with another card. Hope your Sunday is going well ;)     I was inspired to make this card seeing all the lovely Autumnal colours around just now. Also I seem to have flowers on my mind too after joining the DT over at 'The Flower Challenge'.     We are all just amazed how many entries we have  had for our first challenge. So many beautiful cards.  Winners etc. announced very soon !     Anyway back to my card, more watercolouring once again. Also another CAS card too. Enjoy your weekend ;)

Holly card

Good afternoon friends, I hope your weekend is going well so far! Very mild and warm here  today, not bad for October!      Over at 'Less is More' it's celebration time as it's  their 300th challenge. Wow can't believe that, I think I have taken part in just about every one  too.    So many congrats to all LIMettes today and to  Chrissie and Mandi for starting it in the first  place and to the fab DT also of course ;)

Celebrations & Festivals

I went with an Xmas card as that is the next big celebration arriving here very soon. I watercoloured the holly leaves and berries (very loosely) and added a touch of glitter.      After stamping my sentiment I decided to  leave it at that so it was quite CAS looking. I almost added a bit of green under the holly  leaves but white space is the key so I left well alone ;)

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have  planned. I plan to eat some straight out of the oven banana and walnut cake now.Can you smell the  aroma coming from my  kitchen? yum yum........well  of course you can all have a slice ;)

Flower Challenge #1 Reminder

Hi friends, back again with more cards to share. It's Mid- month time over at 'The Flower Challenge' and you still have time to enter. The theme of this first challenge is an easy one.......     'Anything Goes With Florals'     I am sure you all have flower stamps/dies/stencils which longed to be used. If you haven't seen the  inspirational cards  there already, pop on over.  So happy with the amazing response we have had  already too!       See my amazing fellow DT cards HERE too and  show them some love. The guidelines are also there and please remember to add our banner. I will leave it below my cards.     Right onto my cards, grab a cuppa and have a peek ;)  I decided to use the same stamp on my cards just to  show how different it can look.

  Recipe   I made an A2 card base and added another smaller panel.  I stamped the flower image and coloured it using my  Copics and Promarkers. Then I stamped the sentiment and edged it using a matching Copic.  A few Dewdrops and a few drops of Liquid Pearls on the flowers and it was complete.     Kraft Congrats card

Then I used my Distress ink to colour the flowers. I cut the die cut and coloured that in the same way. I just coloured half and blended it with water for an  Ombre look. I stuck the die cut on the card and added the sequins.     Here is our banner (which I designed), to use in our challenges. We would love it if you care to display it on your  blogs too ;)

I seem to be in a 'blue' faze atm. lol.     Just had to make a card with this yummy  new stamp ! I bought this particular set because  of this flower alone...how many of us do  that ?

Hydrangea card and another sea horse!

Good afternoon friends, phew it's another very hot day here again. Not that I am complaining !     I have been busy trying to keep cool in my  craft room today. I finally made this card, lots of 'faffing'  about  too but it did get finished after  several hours lol.

Over at 'Less is More' it's a recipe this time  and...     'Use Something Tactile'

As soon as I saw this stamp I just HAD to get it......well you all know that feeling I am  sure ! I added a few extra flowers on top for a bit of tactile....ness, I know that isn't a word, but it sounds right to me ;)

I edged the top flowers with embossing powder, then added yet more texture with a  different embossing powder in the middle. So lots of tactile...ness..I hope ;)

Good evening friends, it's been such a lovely hot day here today. Hope you all have the good weather too!     Just had time to finish my latest 'Less is More' challenge card tonight. It's a 'Colour' challenge this week and ...     Pastel Colours     I just love using pastel shades so an easy  one for me this time. Good afternoon friends, we had snow today, just a sprinkling and gone now I am glad to say. Hope all is well with you!     Just popping by to show you another card, more watercolouring again....what can I say.... I am hooked now ;)


It's supposed to be orchids in case you were wondering....and you were wondering I am sure ! A very LOOSE watercolour image...but I quite like a loosey goosey  watery look.

Another NBUS stamp here...oh the shame!! More new stamps AGAIN!......I just loved  these yummy sentiments as soon as I saw them  and they just  fell into my basket...ahem.... as stamps do. Sorry if you are now forced to get  them also.        That's the trouble with blogging isn't it, you  see so many nice 'things' you need! Anyway come and have a closer peek at my card. A day to celebrate LIM GDT card

Good morning friends, I am very excited today as I have been chosen as a Guest Designer for 'Less is More' this week. Er and yes that is me you see jumping  up and down ;)        Whoo hoo what an honour..... thank you so much  Chrissie ! .....as we have an extra Sat this month it's  also a lucky dip challenge.        Not only that, .........as if that isn't exciting enough  already ....it's also LIM's 200th challenge too ! Can't believe we are now at the 200 mark, the challenge has gone from strength to strength.Little did  Chrissie  & Mandi know just how popular the  challenges  would become!....many Congratulations!!        So many fabulous card makers enter every week now. I am always blown away by the amazing cards you  all make, and the inspiration of course. Anyway I  must stop rambling now and get  on with showing  you what I came up with. This time  the theme is to be.....

"Celebrations"     How very apt I thought for this week's challenge. I  knew which stamp to use at once luckily. Also our burglar pleaded  guilty in  court, (after an age waiting around) so awaiting  sentencing now next month.

I layered some Pale Turquoise card over my White

 Linen base card.  I then added a few strips of spotty

 net,white embossed card and silver paper.

I stamped my Penny Black sentiment on more Turquoise

 card and added some  twine. I highlighted the first letter

 using my Glamour dust and quickie glue pen.

A few silver sequins completed my card.
