Snowy Xmas card

Good evening all, just popping by to share
another quick Xmas card I made recently.

Glad to report I am well on my way to
making most of mine now. I seem to have
got all my Xmas pressies too, not like
 me at all.

Hope you are getting Xmas things done,
it does tend to creep up on you and surprise
 you otherwise !

Right here is my card, have a lovely
 evening ;)

ps. Adding it to this week's 'LIM' challenge
which is to make a 'one layer' card and 'Santa'
as a theme. Hmm not sure it's too busy but the
penguin does look like a Santa....right ??

Feminine versus Masculine cards

Hi friends, just popping in to show you two
cards. I saw that 'Make the Day Special' wanted
us to join in with them and show different  contrasts
in cards using different techniques they had shown
over a week.

One of  the choices was to use the same set
of stamps and make a feminine card and also
a masculine card. I thought that sounded a
great idea as I had only just bought one
of the sets they showed us.

I made the cards and was going to link them
there . Alas today when I looked the linky thing
has closed !! Doh, why didn't I check the dates.
Anyway I thought I would just show you all
instead ;) Handy to  be  able to make both types
of card from the same set of stamps. What do
you think, does it work ??....I will let you decide !

Purple and Yellow card

Good afternoon friends, I hope you are all
enjoying your weekend. As it's Saturday I
have another 'Less is More' card to show
you.

It's a colour challenge this week and...

"Use opposite colours on the wheel "

"The  two chosen colours should predominate
and any additional shades should be minimal
and limited to neutral colours only."

I decided on using purple and yellow. Not
two colours I would normally use together
but I think it works. Just to add I have added
a clear gem to that bottom flower now !

 Have a great weekend,
we are having all our family here tomorrow
so off to do preparations now ;)

ps. Congratulations to William and Kate on the birth
of their new baby girl this morning too! can't wait for
our latest granddaughter to arrive now....just 6 weeks
to go ;)

Enjoy your day card

Hello my lovely friends, it's a very sunny Spring
day here, I do hope you have the sun too.

As it's Saturday yet again I have another
'Less is More' card to share with you again.
Inspiration came quickly today luckily, don't you
just love it when that happens (smiles).

This week the theme is......

Up, up and away!

"For this one you can think balloons, planes, other
things that fly and things that can be carried along
on the breeze. Let your imagination take flight!"

Anyway this is what I came up with, come
and have a closer peek. Btw. see my last post for a
very different card from me ! Enjoy your weekend
whatever you have planned, I am just relaxing ;)

ps. I saw an idea in blogland about replacing glue
tops with babies bottle nipple things. It helps the
glue to come out in a straight thin line and doesn't
get the top all clogged up et. etc.

It looked like  a great idea, it seemed to work,
I smiled at the simplicity of it. It did work for  a
couple of times too but then......disaster.....
... the top flew off and I was covered in glue!

All over my best black jeans ( will I ever learn not
to wear stuff which isn't old whilst crafting !) All
over the card I had just made and all over  my desk.
Arrrghhh, I wasn't best pleased to say the least lol.
My advice is.....just don't go there folks!

Twinkle twinkle card

Hi friends, it's Saturday again so time to
show you another 'Less is More' card.
 This week the theme is......

"This makes me happy!
It could be a colour, a technique, a design, a
 subject that pleases you... whatever!
However, we would like you to TELL US
what the thing is that pleases you!"

What a lovely challenge ! Well I think most
of you know already about my love of PINK
lol.

My main loves are of course my family, esp.
my gorgeous grandchildren. My other loves
are crafting, making cards, jewellery,
photography, walking, music etc. etc.

But pink and babies do feature quite often
with me. As my lovely DIL's will tell you
lol.

I always pinch the babies for a kiss & cuddle
as soon as they arrive at our house. Often
before they have even got out of the car.
My DIL's find this sooo amusing!!!!

So my card features pink and is a  baby
card. The sentiment is exactly how I
feel about all my 'little stars' .....
or grandbabies ;)

See side pics to see just how adoreable
they are! ....ahem well yes I am a
tad biased !

Anyway here is my card, come and have
 a closer peek.
Btw. I am experimenting using the
'manual' option now with my new fancy
camera. So  pics may vary...but I hope to
 improve as I go.

ps. A big welcome to my latest follower too.
Thank you for choosing me and welcome
 aboard.

Have a lovely week everyone whatever
you have planned. We will be celebrating
Alexander's 3rd birthday on Monday ;)

Misty Trees card

Hi everyone, another very quick post again.
I have been making lots of digi cards today.

Mostly for friends or family, also for my
grandbabies too. Result..... I made  seven!!! why is
it either lots of nothing at all ?

I can't believe Lana will be
one in December too....where has the time gone!!

Anyway in between making those I managed
another 'trees' one..... and another also in
 progress  ;)

Yes I know....... it's simple but I quite like it !
I used some PP Ombre digi papers I had
printed out a while ago in a very pale grey
 colour.

Not sure you can  see here but it's light grey at the
bottom fading to white at the top.

I stamped my trees ( yes I know I know it's THAT
stamp again lol !!!)  using some Momento London
Fog ink. The sentiment was from part of a set,
stamped in the same grey ink.

Come and have a closer look........is it saying
 'morning mist'  to you ??

Fingerprint cards

Good morning friends, another dull day here today.
What happened to the Summer ?

As it's Saturday yet again I have more 'LIM'
cards to share. It's one layer card week
this time and.....

  'Adapt a Fingerprint'

Hmmm could be a tricky one this time ! Luckily
I remembered a card I made ages ago, so decided
to try and recreate that one.

I made some fingerprints and added a few whiskers
and also a piece of string for tails ( hope that's allowed).
A bit of shadow and a CB stamp for the sentiment and
 job done!

They were supposed to be mice but ...ahem...I think
they are more like cats lol. So you choose :)

I made another card too, this time making a heart
with my fingerprints. I had to do it several times as
it was a bit too light in colour. It is my fingerprints
though I promise !

I used a quick swish of Distress ink for a background
this time and added another CB sentiment.....and relax :)

A very big welcome to all my latest followers too, welcome
aboard and thank you for following me:)

ps. Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned. I am still
sorting menu ideas for parties we are hosting soon. It seems
we will have two now, one for about 14 people and one for
8 or 10 and the babies of course too.

Think I am going to be very busy lol, we have a wedding 'do'
the day before one also, so I will have to freeze things.

Still knee deep in jewellery making too atm., 'stuff' everywhere!
Of course now I have my jewellery tools out I have decided to
order  lots  more 'bits' too arghhh !

Watercolour card

Good afternoon everyone. Just a very quick post today as
we are expecting visitors any minute lol. The theme over at
'Less is More'  is .......................

"Our challenge for this week... We want you to use a
RUBBER STAMP
In addition if you could use watercolours that would be wonderful!"

This is what I came up with , Penny Black stamp & sentiment
& watercolouring. I used cream card for a change as it went better with
my watercolour card ,which was a sort of off white colour.I used
a touch of glamour dust on some of the letters also.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned. We are
hosting a big  family 'do' again so we will be very busy I fear :)

All I want card

Hi everyone, here is another card for the 'LIM' challenge
this week. Here is the inspirational pic we have to use.

Here's what I came up with, I even remembered to
use some stitching this time too.

'JustInklined' digi image ( I removed the ball and
chain part). Computer  generated sentiment, coloured
with Promarkers &  glamour dusted the bow and
 'Shoe' wording part.

The gorgeous shoe and red sole reminds me of
a  similar very expensive pair of Louboutin's my niece
wore to her  wedding ( pic below).Aren't they fabulous!

While looking for a  pic of them I stupidly  managed
to safely remove my external hard drive & the safely remove
button. Much panic ensued  ( I am not good at computer
stuff & soon panic)..... until order was returned with help
from my son lol. Now I  need a large glass of something!

ps. A big welcome to my latest follower too, welcome aboard

Anyway enough rambling YET again, sorry !!!...... here is my
card, hope you like it...............and relax :)

The quote is by Katherine Hepburn btw., probably too small to see here.

Flowers and leaves card

Hi everyone, it's 'scorchio'( 27c still at 6pm) here again today
 yippee!!!

Almost a disaster today, a car came out of a side road
and almost hit us side on. It stopped midway in our road in
front of us.When we looked inside there was no driver !

It had rolled down a slope into our path on a busyish road. We
stopped the traffic and OH knocked on the door of a shop it was
parked outside of. The driver came out swearing and no sign of
a thankyou either. No damage to it luckily.

Anyway enough rambling !  Here is a quick post to show you
a card I made for the 'LIM'  challenge this week. Details below........

ps. Our lovely new conservatory windows are in at last. We  just
have to fix the guttering back etc. and do the inside shelf.
Really pleased with them though. Now we have to replace one
of the back conservatory ones and  a patio door.OH built them
both front and back of our bungalow to conserve heat. Works
like a dream too :).........not that we need it in this heat lol !

Blue butterflies card & a win!

Good morning friends/bloggers, I hope all is well with you all today.
I have another 'Less is More' card to show you again. We have to
make a card  suitable for Jen's birthday this time. As she says she
likes butterflies I came up with this idea. Come and have a closer
 look...............................
I think the butterflies are a DSB digi image,
computerized sentiment and ribbon from stash.
( Ribbon was cut off a tee shirt I think).Trying a new
 sort of bow too.
My win ! Thankyou so much Joanne (angelnorth.blogspot.co.uk)

Hexagon card

Good morning everyone, very windy here today, sun earlier
but now we have rain boo hoo! Here is another card for
this week's  'Less is More' challenge. This time it's a theme
which is .......................................................................

HEXAGONS

I was so happy to be chosen again for the showcase,
( happy dance), thankyou Chrissie and Jen :)

I haven't got any hexagon type stamps or papers etc.
so panic set in at first ( no change there then). Then I
came up with  this idea. I chose an image from my GCF
( Greeting card  Factory) programme. I made it into a pentagon,
then  squished  the top to make it into a hexagon shape.

All that  sounds quite easy but the programme is working
erratically  atm.  ( to put it mildly) and it kept switching
to a different edit mode grrrrr! .

After almost losing the will to live I  managed to do it however.
I faded some of the images, altered the size and moved them
around etc. then I added a sentiment and printed & cut it
out. I 3d that  piece onto another card base & added
my usual glamour dust. Job done.............and relax.

ps.It's been a strange week, happy news about the new
grandbaby ( smiles). Then our DIL got made redundant,
then she aquired another job she had been after the very
 next day lol.
Oh and I have lost 5 lbs on my new 'diet', hate that
word....but it is one really. Just hope the weight loss
 continues next week now lol.

Have a lovely weekend  whatever you have planned :)
I plan to relax after finishing  both  grandbabies first year
albums at long last.Oh and here is my first effort at digi
scrapbooking too, hope you like it.

First effort at digi scrapbook page.
Also entering the Hexagon card into another challenge now.
