Lion card
Good afternoon everyone, another lovely sunny day again here.
Today I have another DT card ,made for 'Beccy's Place' the
last in the safari animal digi's set. This time it's a 'Lion', most
appropriate for me seeing as I am a Leo. I decided to go for
a very bright card for a change. The image reminded me of a lion
basking in the midday sun, surrounded by lots of sunny yellow.
So I used distress ink for my card , I hope it reminds you of
the hot sun we have had lately ( well here anyway). The summer
arrived after a long time this year and was most welcome.A big
welcome to my latest followers too.Do look at Beccy's August
challenge too for a chance to win some of her digi's or be chosen
as a guest designer for September.
ps. I have had terrible mosquito bites on my legs. I always react badly
to them anyway but these looked horrid.Serves me right sitting in the
garden one night later than usual .They are getting better now I
am glad to say.

Just playing catchup on your gorgeous animal cards Viv :o)
I hope the mozzie bites are soon gone, they are soooooooooooo uncomfortable...hugs
Jackie xx
I can almost feel the heat Viv, and I bet he's been lying there for hours while the women are off hunting! Don't envy you the mozzie bites:) Do you like marmite? It's supposed to be effective in that the mozzies can smell it on your skin, or failing that a course of Brewers yeast tabs.

Just gorgeous...fabulous image and brilliant colours
Like you I have suffered from mozzie bites but on my arms and neck end ended up doctors as the cream our local pharmacy gave me was useless!
Anne
Thanks for the info Val, I use marmite in cooking for flavour sometimes, not on it's own though. The yeast tablets sound a good idea too & I have that Avon spray too.......just didn't think to use it that night!
I did use some cream I had on hand luckily Anne, but I hadn't noticed the bites until next day....that was the main problem I fear.Clearing now after a few days thank heavens, I hope the mozzie feels ill now, my blood isn't that good with my RA lol.
Oh fabulous card, thanks for sharing it with us at CraftyCatz this week.xx
This is just gorgeous, love the image.xxx
I hate those little mosquito beggers and I hate having to spray when I go out to walk the dog, but he seems to find a dozen ways to disturb them and it is unbearable if I don't! I'm lucky in that the itch goes away fairly soon and I don't get big welts like some...
love your lion card, wonderful colouring!

Well Viv...... as a fellow Leo and knowing that this is supposed to be OUR colour.... I have to say..... I'd prefer him in pink!!! hehe! Yellow really isn't my colour... but your colouring and layout are fab!!
And poor you with the mosquito bites... my daughter reacts badly - gets cellulitis... she had a really nasty one while she was volunteering at the Olympics.. ended up with double antibiotics and penicillin! But it didn't keep her off her feet while she was there... don't think anything would have!
Big hugs
