Frosty scene card

It's the 1st Anniversary of  'Less is More'
this week  , can't believe it's been a whole
year already ! Many  many congratulations
Chrissie & Mandi,& long may you continue.
Anyway it's now week 53
& a colour theme again which is....
                         AQUA
I decided to make a frosty scene as it's so
cold out today, -6 this morning brrrr!!! well
it certainly helped with the idea. I used my
cheap pearlized paints from 'the works' ,
I love the soft sheen the colours have. I
coloured washed a panel with the lovely
aqua colour, using a small circle as a mask
for the sun.
I stamped a tree in white ( Color Box) ink,
then embossed it with sea foam white
embossing powder. I drew the birds , fence
& river along the tree using  my  trusty
'quickie glue' pen then embossed over it.
Had no idea if you could do that, but hey it
works !!.....another thing I have found out now.
I added some glamour dust to highlight parts
on the sun , trees & river. The panel was a bit
warped after drying the embossing etc. and I
didn't want to flatten the raised parts.I used the
glue pen & more embossing over the tree
bark to make it thicker, ( another thing I have
learnt today). So I stuck it to another white
panel all around the edge tightly, then mounted
that onto the main card with little square sticky
pads.... I just love to use as they stick so well.
A friend told me about them and I have used
them ever since (an ebay find btw.).
Hard to photograph, hope you can see it ok,
I did a closeup too, can't see the lovely sheen
or sparkle though I fear!
Sorry such a long explanation again, but I know
I like to see how people make things so.....
Keep warm and safe my friends , snow expected
tonight here..........I hope my next grandson doesn't
arrive just yet and hangs on in there a bit longer too :O)

Fab scene Viv and a good tip re the glue pen embossing! By the way Nolan is our surname, they haven't decided on a name although Charlie was mentioned the other day! If it's a girl it may be Phoebe:) Alexander is a lovely name. Exciting times for us eh?
