Poinsettia card

Hi everyone, another grey day here again, hope it's
not so gloomy where you are . I have another
'Less is More' card to show you today, it's week 96
and a colour theme this time which is.....
Red & Green
I knew immediately which image I would use, a lovely
'Poinsettia' digi image from 'Beccy's Place'.It's an old freebie
she had ages ago,( Nov 2009, still available if you look in the
side bar there) at Beccy's older images.I coloured it with Promarkers
and cut some of the petals and layered them too.A bit of my usual
glamour dust and that was it finished.I printed a greeting on
a separate matt and attached the flowers. A strip of white under
that piece coloured at the edges with a matching Promarker
and job done.Come and have a closer look...........
ps. So busy today, trying to make a card and take a photograph
before the light goes. Now I have to start on tomorrow's food
prep as our children and grandchildren are all coming for
a meal tomorrow. Should have been last weekend but illness struck
my youngest son's family. I am also surrounded by Xmas 'stuff'
and pressies so have to hide those too.Two cots to put up for the
babies, cleaning/tidying......must get on now......enjoy your weekend
everyone. Hugs for everyone who is ill too!
Update.......new version of the POINSETTIA is now on Beccy's
blog, for free ....and in colour also ! look HERE

Babies First Christmas

Hi bloggers, we have sun here today for a change yeaaaaaah !
Today I have some babies first Christmas things to share with you.
I made these for my  two young grandsons as it will be their very
first Christmas with us. First is an easel type card, I made one for
each of them but will only show one here as they are alike.Next is
a bauble I made for them both with their picture inside. I digitally
inserted a Christmas hat on a picture of them. Also another
keepsake tree ornament with their names and date on. I made
those before I decided to make the baubles. Maybe they will
just be kept hanging from a shelf ? Anyway come and have
 a closer look.......
ps. I am hoping my sons and DIL's don't see these just yet lol !
Book-a-easel is a digi from the Clipartfairy,so is the bear, I added  my own wording.

Closeup
Matching box made with a Clipart fairy digi paper/tag and  a Curved Rectangles Nesty
Image/hat and wording done in GCF, bauble from ebay, plastic and not flat like it looks here.
About 7 cm , just right size I found, not glass as I worried about breaking.
(Back) I added white feathers and a die cut snowflake in silver, may add some glitter tinsel later.
Used a heart nesty for the shape, ( two stuck together, then ribbon in between) ,wording/image done in GCF

Christmas Star cottage

Hi fellow bloggers, it's chilly here today 5C brrrr! here are two
more DT cards made for  'Beccy's Place' again. They were
made using Beccy's digi image 'Christmas Star cottage', I used
the black and white version of each  image, with and without the
star. I used a brick embossing matt for the first one and coloured
it to match the bricks on the main image. Almost lost the will to
live colouring all those bricks too! I coloured the second image
in more summery colours and used various pastel shades.Such
a pretty cottage don't you think. Anyway enough waffling from
me come and have a closer look..........
ps. A very big welcome to yet another follower also, thankyou for
 choosing me to follow :)
