The Flower Challenge #28 'Colour Pink & Grey'

Hi there friends, I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas and may I wish you all a very Happy New Year too !

It's a new year over at 'The Flower Challenge' and we have a colour challenge for you this month and 'Pink & Grey'. I think that is such a great colour combination, come and see all the examples made by our amazing  Design Team!

We also have a Guest Designer this time too Maura , our October Winner. Do check out her card as she makes such beautiful cards ;)

Anyway here are my cards, really happy how they turned out for once ;)....the 'flowing drops' on the first one reminded me of petals ;)..... thanks for looking and any comments you wish to leave.

Also adding four of my favourite FC cards from last year. See bottom of my post ;)

Pink & Grey Swirly Flower card

Flower Challenge, Pink & Grey

Smooth White card
AltENew Flowing Drops stencil
AltENew Fantasy Floral die
Mama Elephant Creative Colour ink Smoke
Hero Arts Shadow ink Bubblegum
Avery Elle Raspberry ink
Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers ink
Little Things sequins & pearl

I made my card base then added another panel on top. I used my stencil, blending the ink lighter and darker in certain places.Next I die cut my flower and leaves, inked those and added them to my card.  A few gems, sequins and a pearl completed my card.

Beautiful Day card
Flower Challenge, Pink & Grey
Smooth White card
Watercolour card
AltEnew Beautiful Day stamps
AltEnew Watercolours
Neat & Tangled sequins
Glamour dust
3d tape

I made my card base and then added a top piece using watercolour card. Then I stamped my leaves and flowers  and coloured them in softly using my watercolours. I stamped another separate larger flower and another sprig of flowers and leaves on watercolour card. After colouring them all and fussy cutting them I added those to my card. Next I used glamour dust to the added parts, then watercoloured around my flowers. A sprinkling of sequins and my card was complete.

Viv - thanks again for the invite to be a GD! (and for your kind words!) I love your cards for the challenge...the first one is so pretty with the pop of pink against all the pretty swirling gray! And the second is such a gorgeous watercolored version of that Altenew stamp - I have it too, and you just can't go wrong with that beauty!!

Wow ....Your cards are stunning. The colour combination is so pretty and both designs are beautiful. The blending with the stencil on your first card looks fabulous and your water colouring on the second one is beautiful, along with the fussy cutting and layering x. Glorious cards and thank you for the amazing inspiration x.
Happy New Year and here's to a healthy and crafty one too x.

Oh my gosh Vivien!!! Both cards are gorgeous, WOW!! I love the stenciled background on the first card, perfect for your bright die cut flower, the color wash on the second is amazing, love the dimension of the fussy cut pieces.
And what a gorgeous collection of some of your 2018 creations my friend, I'm thankful for helping me with mine.
Have a fabulous week.

Way to put us to shame, Viv. Two cards?! Very different but equally beautiful. I love the soft flowing stencil with the more graphic flower on the first card, and Beautiful Day is one of my favorites and the trailing vines look fabulous with the flower.

Wow, 2 wonderful, beautiful cards. Just amazing.
At first I thought I would struggle with this colour combo but I am really loving the look it gives.
