Pastel Thanks card

Good morning friends, a rather damp grey day here today. I hope you have some Spring sunshine  wherever you are.     As it's Saturday yet again I have another  'Less is More' card to share with you. Today it's a recipe and....     "Combine any three previous  Less is More challenges

 into one creation.

Please note the numbers and title of the 

challenges you are basing your card on!"

 I die cut a few Paper Smooches 'thanks'
 sentiments and stuck  them together then
 added  a quick splash of  TH Distress
 watercolours.  I added a few clear gems

and job done.

ps. I am doing a big revamp of my craft room,

boy do you aquire a lot of 'stuff'  over the

 years!!! I am being strong and just keeping

 what I really really need.

I have a friend who will use my old stuff

and distribute to  various crafting groups

 she knows of. Charity and disabled groups

mostly I think, so it will all go to a good

 home ;)

I am still trying to improve my photography!!

I am getting to grips with my new camera,

( I hope). Mostly out of auto mode now and am

 using a  tripod ( yes OH ok you were right!!!).

I am waiting for a new lens as we speak.

Should be a birthday pressie really in August

 but OH said to  get it now.(Oh I do love that man!) 

It's been such a learning curve for me, so much to

 remember....lenses, white balance,f stops,ISO....

 but I do want to improve as I go. Not there yet

but.....watch this space lol !!!

Celebrate today card

Hi friends, just a quick post today. I had another idea for a card for the 'Less is More' challenge again.     We have to CASE a DT card this week and I am choosing Sarah's again for my inspiration.     I used a die cut,  a middle sentiment, an edge  to the die cut,also an embellishment either side of  the die cut.     I think this card is suitable for a wedding too.  Hope that is enough likeness to Sarah's card. On your Special Day card

Hi friends, just popping by to show you another 'Less is More' card I made.     We have to CASE a DT card this week, I chose Sarah's card and went with the general  wedding theme on her card, plus I used hearts and silver.See her card below mine.      (On Bloglovin it shows the card you CASED  and not your card if you post it first btw.That is why I posted my card first if you wondered.)     I used a bit of pink too ( so hard to stay away  from pink....sorry!). I know it doesn't look like  Sarah's beautiful card but I hope it's ok that I  followed her general theme etc.?? If not I will remove it.       I made another card too which is suitable for a  wedding theme also, but again not really like  Sarah's card.......hmm is it allowed??       I just got carried away with ideas........not pink  though for a change ;) Anyway let me know if it's ok to just go with the theme and I will post  it over at LIM too ;)

Good afternoon friends, late with my 'Less is More' card as I have been on babysitting duties over  the weekend. More on that later though.  Over at LIM and the theme .............

        I chose Chrissie's card , the layout and a flower  scene at the bottom and a sentiment at the top. I used a bit of watercolouring on mine too.     ps. Our son (who works in IT) had a 5 hour exam on  'Hacking' so we were looking after his son while  he and his wife went to Peterborough for it. Pleased to say he passed and managed 97%,  we all celebrated later.      

Giraffe cards

Hi friends, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's  day  yesterday. I had a great day with lots of flowers/plants/chocs/wine/cards and saw my lovely  children and grandchildren of course.       I have a couple of cards to show you today. I made the grey one first and wasn't happy  about it....kept trying but just wasn't working.         Showing you it anyway....then I tried again with the same image. Much happier this time. I wanted to get the Giraffe peeking out from  the frame. I think the bit of embossing/chalking  helped too.         I still struggle a bit with one layer cards. Sorry the pic is a tad dark but the embossing  wouldn't show otherwise.      Anyway I wish you all a good week,  whatever you have planned ;)

Hi friends, I hope all is well with you all. Yes it's Saturday once more and so time to show you my latest 'Less is More' card.       It's  'one layer' card week this time and  we  have to.....       'INCLUDE AN ANIMAL'      I found this cute ellie in my files, it was labelled 'freebie' but alas no name on it sadly.        There is a name underneath the  image but I can't make it out. If anyone  knows where it's from I will add it ! ( found out it's a Tiddly Inks image, thank you Susan ) I coloured it with Promarkers & the rest is computer generated.       Have a lovely mother's day tomorrow, (if you celebrate it). My mother and MIL are no longer with us sadly but we are expecting our  children and  grandchildren, so a busy day ahead ;)       ps.Still feeling very tired with my drated Rh. A and still achy but will improve soon as usual in April as I always do.          It didn't help having my head sideways trying to do this sentiment either. I do like tent fold cards though so.... ;)        Have a good weekend/week everyone whatever  you have planned. Raindrops card

Hi friends, I hope your Sunday is going well? I have had a very lazy one , nice to just rest  sometimes.       I did manage another card though, I should  be tidying my craft room.NO idea how I even  managed  a card with no space  here either. Sooo  glad you can't see all the mess lol.       I have had these pretty raindrop stamps for a  while now. I just HAD to buy them as I loved  them so much. But have I used them before?? errr.....nope.         I will try and add a photo of our frogs  AGAIN. Blogger was playing up last time  I tried.Oh and a few flowers in our garden  just now too.Managed it now, see below!       Enjoy your Sunday...well what's left of  it that is !       Right here is my card, come and have  a closer look.

Chickadees and gingham card

Good afternoon friends, I have another 'Less is More' card to share with you today.Wow it's March already, how did that happen ??     It's a colour challenge this week over at 'LIM' and.....................       Yellow and Green       I was in a gingham mood today and decided to  combine it with some watercolouring/drawing.      These little chickadees have had me smiling  for ages. I saw some similar stamps a while  ago but thought I could paint/draw my own.     I was inspired by Elvie Studio as she had  drawn her own too. Sunny here today, it says 11c but it lies...... it's still so cold, the wind isn't helping either!     Our frogs have arrived back in our garden  ponds too so Spring must be on it's way ;)     I tried to add some pics but Blogger won't  let me ....boo hoo!

Hi again, I hope all is well with you all. Here is another simple card I made the other  day.      I added more to it later as it looked a bit plain. Still not sure about it though, anyway here it is !       ps. Our grandson Alexander had a great 3rd birthday. A party for his little friends the day  before.   A trip to the zoo  then so many presents  to open, he was in  birthday heaven lol.     I have never seen him smile/laugh so much or  give us  so many hugs. He was still smiling/ laughing when we  put him to bed in the evening. See new pic ;)     He loved my magic tricks too I am pleased  to say ;)     Right...here is my card...the two versions of it!

Just for you card with butterfly

Good morning friends! just a quick post to show  you another 'Less is More' card I have made. The theme is.....      'This makes me happy'     I went with butterflies this time. I love to see  them flitting about the garden in Summer. I could watch them for ages.        I wasn't happy with my colouring and infact I  had three attempts at making butterflies. I also added some distress ink and 'splattering' later as I still wasn't happy. You decide  which is best ;)       My mojo was missing yesterday sadly, and  yet the other day I just made card after  card. Why is that??       I did go on to make two more cards later on which I was happier with. Lots of family/friends ones to do also. I will show you those in another  post.         Enjoy your week whatever you have planned. We are off to celebrate our grandsons 3rd  birthday today.He is going to the zoo first so  hoping for some nice photo's.        I have been practising some magic tricks to  astound him with later ( no laughing please)....... well that's the plan lol !         ps.Happy Birthday to my lovely friend Jackie  today too mwah xx ;)
