Butterfly newsprint card

Good afternoon friends/play mates I hope all is well
with you today. I have another 'Less is More' card
to share with you again.
The recipe this week is.......

NEWSPRINT

"There can be a lot or a little, but as ever, the card
MUST be Clean and Simple. Please remember
that we like to see areas of white space,
 few layers and minimal embellishments."

So happy to be showcased over at 'LIM' last
week too, thank you so much !!!!

I just had to go with a butterfly theme. A bit
of distressing in TH Antique Linen and a
touch of Faded Jeans around the top one.

I was happy to find the words 'antennae'
twice on the newsprint I cut my butterfly
 from ;)

A big welcome to my latest follower too,
 welcome aboard !

ps.Enjoy your weekend everyone whatever
you have planned. We were babysitting again
yesterday but just having a relaxing day today.

We bought a new internet  radio and after lots
of 'faffing' & help from our son I have
managed  to get it connected  to our wifi...,
 happy days !

You didn't see me dancing around the room
to the  big band music now did you lol ?

Hi everyone, here are a few things made by my
lovely talented husband. Hope you enjoy looking
at them all.

I intended to add just a few but after a request by
my dear friend Jackie.........here  are  quite a few ;)

(he just couldn't find one in the shops he liked,
so he designed his own).

You can see how strong it is and how much it holds.

Here it is without the wood.

The shelves are loose for ease of use.

fire surround and our beams which he also made himself.

Yew wood match holder

Yew vase

Another vase, hollow inside but hard to see here.

Two vases inside each other, marked for further painting

In My Garden card

Hi again, just popping in with another card for the
'Less is More' challenge. It's another digi one, just
couldn't resist another quick one.

The theme is 'Little creatures' this week, I made
this small scene with a beady owl looking at a
family of worms. I don't think he wants to eat
them...............just curious I think ;)

Enjoy your Sunday friends !

ps. I was going to add the photo's of my OH's
log basket he made. I have pics of the egg holder
( request by me)   garden benches and table too
so will do a separate post !

Infact there are so many things he has made
now I think I may do a new folder on Pinterest
with them too :)

Little Creatures card

Good afternoon friends, I hope all is well with you
today. It's quite warm here ....19c so not bad for
 October  I think !

As it's Saturday once again I have another
'Less is More' card to share with you.

The theme this week is........

"Little Creatures
We don't mind how little they are... cute,
cuddly or creepy we'd just like to see
something small!"

I decided to make a digi card this time as I have
just bought a few digikits which are ideal for this
subject. One was called  'Funny little creatures',
.............happy days I must be psychic ;)

I spend ages fiddling about with tiny images
and making a little scene. I hope you
like my little card, I think stamping would
have been quicker lol.

Have a good weekend everyone, my week
has been a busy one yet again. I hope for an
 easier one  next week.

Babysitting and another few trips out planned so
maybe not !

ps. My lovely talented OH has been busy making
garden benches, a table to match and also a log
basket.

He has been looking for a particular type
of log basket for ages (a shallow wide one). No joy
so he decided to design and make his own.
We want it to sit beside our trusty woodburner
'Woody' ;)

The one he made  looks  very strong , unlike some
we have seen  and we both  realy like  it ! I will
show you pics of all  the things in  another post !
See previous post if you missed seeing my
 Tee shirts too ;)

Oops sorry rambling again lol............here is my card.

Tee shirts

Not a card today but some tee shirts I designed for
 my OH.

If you read my earlier post about them you
will remember how  he tried to find some with
nice colours/design and no writing on.

He tried and failed so I decided to design my own
for him. He really didn't like any with writing on, esp.
advertizing a product or place or American wording.

"Why do they all have American wording on "
he kept repeating. Hmm do ones in America have
British place names/images on I am wondering?

Oh and he also requested that they didn't have
an outline ( rectangular) so I used a mask and went
 for a  watercolour type look.

He picked three designs, but I loved another one
so added that later as a surprise.
He liked mine best too yeaaaaah! It's the last
blue one if you were wondering ;)

Anyway I designed them ,had the printed off and
here they are. He was very pleased I am glad to say.
I am designing one with bright butterflies on now lol,
a request by  my OH...oh my what have I started !

Forgive all the creases, I just took photo's as soon
as I got them out of the packets I'm afraid !!

Birds and sky on Lilac

Birds and fields on Pistachio

Beach scene and fish on pale blue

Hi everyone, I hope all is well with you. Saturday
has come round at lightning speed yet again.

It's 'One layer' card time again over at 'Less is More'
and we have to have 2 of something on our cards.

I came up with this Christmas card, these cute Robins
make me smile....hope they make you smile too !

Have a good week everyone whatever you have
planned ;)

ps.Sorry for my late commenting this week.We have
had such a busy week again, so many  trips out
 for one thing or another.

We had to take my elderly neighbour to the Dr's
(after insisting). Then a visit to the hospital for blood
tests and a scan to check for DVT.

That took most of the day of course, but all
was well in the end I am glad  to say. Babysitting
yesterday again, housework gone to pot. So much
to catch up on now grrr !

I will post the tee shirt pics very soon...I promise !

Autumn leaves card

Hi friends, it's looking and feeling a lot like Autumn now
here. Brrr the heating had to go on last night and
for a while this morning too.

I am posting another 'Less is More' card once again.
It's a colour theme and.....

"For our Colour challenge this month we have chosen
Autumn's Bounty
Sounds kinda poetic doesn't it...
so we'd love to see autumnal shades in your cards."

This is what I came up with, not my usual colours,
but I am quite liking these for a change.Pop on over
and look at all the other cards over at 'LIM' too. There
are some real beauties, so lovely to see all the autumn
 colours and leaves too.

ps. So busy yesterday with family birthday celebrations,
our son's 40th this time! The third one this year in our
family. As usual they all came to us so I am still
 recovering!

The parties have become more frenetic lately, serving/
moving food around two crazy running toddlers and a
 crawling baby arghhh!

Phew that's the last party until Xmas, so I hope for a
bit of relaxation and card making now ;)

I will show you the teeshirts I designed for hubby in
another post as it will be very photo heavy as you
can imagine. He was very pleased with them I am
glad to say! Enjoy your week everyone ;)
