Pink bow card

Good afternoon everyone, I hope all is well in your world.
I have a second 'Less is More' card to show you today.

The theme this week over at 'LIM' is a recipe and
'Use a recycled item'. My recycled item is a fabulous
pink ribbon !

My daughter gave me this marvellous glass container full
of Rose bath oil by Dior. It smelt divine too, all gone now
 alas!

I couldn't bring myself to throw the pretty glass container out
and it still sits in my spare bathroom, I may fill it with
more bath foam.

Anyway I digress, around it was the most gorgeous pink
chiffon ribbon. I have been wondering what to do with it for
 ages now.

In truth I didn't want to cut it, but I summoned up the courage
and used it on this card. Ahem.........I will probably keep it
now too lol.

I used one of the freebie sentiments the lovely Chrissie made
recently. Thank you Chrissie they print beautifully too.

I used some old eye shadow around the heart shape ( more
recycling) and a bit of old tinsel I found to suspend it from
 the bow itself.

A tiny heart gem finished it off and also went with the tiny hearts
embossed on the heart shape too.
I will show you the lovely glass container below also :)

Apologies for the long post AGAIN !, just scroll  straight to
the card if you like, I will understand !

Also a very big welcome to yet another follower Marcy.
Thank you so much for choosing me to follow :)

Pink, bow,LIM, CAS
Hope you like the large blousy bow :)

ps. Our son has just finished his usual yearly cycle around our
part of the coast.....250 miles over 3 days ! He says it was
very hard this time, I wonder if it will be his last one?

Also I have been in the wars today :( Another 'fast' day and
doing well so far, not eaten much. I have started using my
Wii excercise machine again, had a quick forest walk and
also started day 1 of the 30 day 'plank' challenge (google it).

So far so good..............

All was going well when my OH asked me to help him in the
garden with a ratchet thingummy. He is taking small tree stumps
out. Anyway before I could help  a large VERY heavy metal
mesh type frame which was leaning against a tree fell on my leg.

Arghhhh, not good, my leg is very badly scraped/cut in several
sections! I look a real site and it HURTS !!! OH was really upset
he had asked me to help at all now of course.

On the plus side my lovely navy jeans weren't damaged at all !

Lets just say I will be wearing either jeans or a long dress for a
 while now lol.

Ribbon thanks card

Good morning friends/bloggers, yes it's Saturday once again.
Just can't believe how quickly the weekend appears !

Here is another 'Less is More' card where the theme
 this week is.............

"A RECIPE
for you
Use a recycled item!
It can be anything, card, ribbon, paper, metal...
anything that has been used before!"

Hmm could be a tricky one this. But then I looked at all
the many bits I hoard constantly and no it seems it
isn't a problem after all !!!

I found a piece of  card which had been discarded
because it had marks on it. It was the top piece of
card from a pack but it had embossed bits like long
fingers all across it grrrr!

So I cut off the marked piece and used it as my base
card. Then I found another off cut and ran it through
my ribbler for texture.

I looked through my discarded 'stuff' pile(s), oh the
shame, how have I accumulated so much! Anyway
I found lots of treasures there.

I found an old tag which was a receipt from some
chiffon and waste silk I had bought ages ago.Oh my
still not made the collages with it either !

It was just a white paper one with writing on so couldn't
use that BUT attached to it are the most beautiful
velvet  crinkly ribbons........result !

How had I not used them before!!!!! Anyway I
quickly cut a few pieces from them and tied them to my
recycled tag.

The sentiment is a new die ( Paper Smooches) I must admit
(note to self) STOP BUYING NEW STUFF ! But I
found an old discarded card front which hadn't
 printed properly.

I loved the colours and thought they mostly matched
the ribbons so I used the die cut with that piece.

I found a few old sequins and some old gems and
they completed my card.

Sorry for the long post again, just wanted to explain
which items I had recycled. Just look at the card
if you don't want to read all this lol.

ps.My computer is running so slowly atm., I must
sort and delete 'stuff'. Sorry if I am late commenting
but it's hard when it takes me so long.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.
Our DIL's parents are over here from Taiwan so
we will be busy having days out with them. If I
go awol that is why :)

Ribbon, velvet,thanks, LIM,CAS

Oops just noticed I have a new follower too. Welcome aboard
Linda and thank you for choosing me to follow :)

Regency card

Hi friends/bloggers, I hope you are all having a lovely
weekend. I made this quick card in my CAP graphics
 programme today.

I deepened the colour and fiddled about with it before
printing out. The size took me a while to get right, but
it's almost the same size as I make my normal cards.

I used the images etc. (Regency) from Theclipartfairy
HERE .........
isn't Wendy so clever. She said it reminded her of
'Pride and Prejudice'.....I agree.

The top part (with the lady) is a separate piece, looks
all one card I think here though. Anyway as it's quite
different to my usual style of card I thought I would
 share it :)

ps. I did manage to get the ink out of my white trousers.
Thank you to all who asked.

Thank you also for all the lovely comments too, you
 really make my day :)

vintage, regency

I added some sparkle to a few bits also.

Just for You card

Good morning everyone, what happened to our sunny
weather ? Dull here today, oh well I will just have to
make cards then  :)

It's 'One layer' card week over at 'Less is More' and
also  'OFF THE EDGE'.

Hmm my mojo has been a bit hit and miss lately, but
luckily this idea just 'evolved'..........and relax.
I stamped the straight lines in light blue ink, then added
some darker blue distress ink. Then I stamped my
flowers in black and added some purple watercolouring
to the flowers.

I used my new Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp too
( loving these). I get so excited when I see the pretty
pink wrapping paper these stamps arrive in.

Mine arrived next day too, what great service.
Anyway back to my card lol, I know it's one layer
card week but I just had to add these little gems as
they matched so perfectly.

Hope I am forgiven :)

Handy tip, when stamping and using dark colours, don't
wear white trousers!! ......disaster struck me and  mine
are now in the wash after much stain removal yikes !

to like!

.........but have I used it..........er well no not until now!

Good evening everyone, just a very quick post today.
I have another 'Less is More' card to show you.

The theme is 'The colours in your bedroom' and
mine are ( sure you know by now but just in case),
mainly white with a little blue and cream.

Yes it is THAT poppy again too lol. I found some old
glittery card and it reminded me of the sky. So I used it
as a background to my poppy, with some cream card
behind it too.

ps. I have been scrubbing my last tiled floor today yipee!
I also made a nice cheese and onion pie ( son's choice) for
my DIL to take back with her tomorrow for them all
to eat.

Quite a  challenge in  this  heat ( still 21c tonight) and on a 'fast'
diet day too.I made one for us also as I just couldn't resist it lol.

We will have it  tomorrow night so I won't have to cook.

Blue and cream card

Good morning friends/bloggers, we have black stormy
clouds above as we speak. What a contrast from
yesterday as it was very hot and sunny.

Heavy rain and thunder now, oh my! at least we
managed our morning forest walk even if we did
have to do a quick jog back to the car when
the rain descended.

I have my usual 'Less is More' card to show you as
 it's Saturday once again.

This week the theme is a colour one and............

 The colours in your bedroom!

I am going to surprise you I think as my bedroom isn't PINK
( you know how I love my pink)
Infact it is mainly white, walls, sheets, quilt, bedside lights.

I do love white in a bedroom it looks so 'clean' looking.
I do have a blue carpet though, a kind of wedgewood blue
 colour.

The flower stem on my card is a good  match to my carpet
I think.Also my curtains are  a  cream colour  and I have a
few cream cushions too.

I have just been tempted by some beautiful 400 thread count
( really into what thread count bedding is lol) cream 100%
cotton sheets and pillow cases and quilt cover.Really fussy about
bedding ....ahem.

Anyway you get the picture as to my bedroom colour
scheme I think now. I did have the walls pale blue  fading
to white a while ago and I  hand painted white clouds
and a few tiny flying birds on one wall.

Sounds hideous I know but I think I did a good job
and everyone liked it who saw it. We decided it must revert
to plain white as we are thinking of selling the house soon.

Ok so here is my card, mainly white with some pale blue
and a few touches of cream.........and relax.
Ooops I forgot to mention I was showcased this week too.
Thank you so much for choosing my card :)

A very big welcome to my latest followers too, so pleased
you have chosen to follow me :)

ps. Sorry I am so late leaving comments for you all this
week. Hectic week with going out and unexpected visits
