Teddy hello card

Good afternoon everyone, it's a lovely sunny day here today.
I do hope you all have some sun  too, wherever you are.

Saturday again so of course it means another 'Less is More'
card to show you. It's a sketch this time, see pic below card.

Adding a couple of my digi pages again too, so loving it still.
Come and have a closer look................

Sketch

I used TH distress inks and a waterbrush on the main image
for a change. LOTV image & my usual glamour dust on the
flower and butterfly. So much inkiness, my hands were a real
inky mess.Luckily I managed not to get any on the card where it
shouldn't be ( lots of hand washing constantly lol ).

ps. Sorry for the lack of cards lately but in a lot of pain atm.
with my hips and back for some reason. Better day today though.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned :)

Navy flower card

Good afternoon friends/bloggers, I hope all is well today
for you all. Here is a second card for this week's
'Less is More' challenge, where the theme is.......

Felt or Fabric

I went for a shabby chic look this time, in shades of
purple and navy.Quite liking this colour combo! Details
below card....and my ramblings lol. Come and
 have a closer look...........

close- up

I have lots of chiffon I bought in different shades to make
flowers with. I went with the navy colour. After cutting and
singeing the ends I sewed some tiny beads in the middle.
The leaves and 'buds' I pinched from some pot pourri, well
the leaves were like paper mache so........fabric? I didn't
have any purple bakers twine so made my own.

Not brilliant I know but at least it matches. TH distress
inking and a bit of  distressing to the edge of the card. I
made a banner & added a Woodware stamped sentiment.
 Job done !

ps. More changes afoot ( excuse pun....see below ), after
getting to used my new smart phone, then my new tablet, then
new glasses (varifocals for the 1st time).

It seems I have another new thing to get used to now.

I have been having foot problems for several years now
and my reflexologist has been nagging me to get a referral to
see a Podiatrist. My arches have dropped & my leg is
changing shape accordingly............ oh my !

Well today I saw him ( very nice young man) and he
is getting me  fitted with custom orthotics. It involved
lots of warm water and  plaster....very nice experience!

He did say my feet were very flexible, which is a good thing
apparantly lol. I hope this will help me be able  to walk
better and  with much less pain. I will report back soon :)

Had no ideas at all yesterday, but we had visitors so I was
busy anyway. Today I realised lace is a  fabric , so I used
that & went for a sepia look also :)

Also here  are more digi pages again, I just love digi
work now. Here are my attempts at blending !

Sepia flower card details.

Lavinia stamp, TH Antique Linen distress  ink , Perfect pearls
White Opal, Ribbon Girl twine, lace from stash.

ps. The weeks are flying past so fast I don't seem to find time to
post many cards or jewellery. Summer is always a busy time
for family parties,going out,the dreaded Spring cleaning I can't
do in Spring etc. I hope to have more time now to post more :)

So inspired by all the beautiful creations I see whilst blog
hopping. You are so talented all of you, I am so lucky to
visit you all. Happy weekend whatever you have planned.

We had a busy day yesterday with all the children &
grandbabies over again. Also the children helped my OH to
install new patio doors....wow what a job that was.OH had
already assembled all the frame ( not easy). It had to be put
 in place though still.

So fun to watch them all deciding which way round the doors
should be and which bit went where. All the time OH is holding
one door and waiting for them to decide.

Meanwhile I was inside trying to get one of the babies to
sleep lol. We ate very late in the end, but the doors were
hung at last. Still bits to do with it but they are in and
 look so fabulous too :)

Next it's a window to replace....and now I am looking at the
inside front door and have seen a replacement I like
....just don't tell my OH though lol.

Baby Elephant Get well card

Good afternoon friends/bloggers a rather wet day here grrr.
As it's Saturday once more I have another 'Less is More'
card to show you today.

It's one layer card week again, and the theme this
 time is.......................
Get Well Soon
Not quite as terrified making a one layer card these days
thank heavens. Thanks C&J for quite an easy theme this
week also !
Here is what I came up with, grab a hot drink & come
and take a closer look :)

I will try and leave my ramblings to the end of the post now
as  I know lots of you just want to see the card !!!!

I am the same when short on time, but I do like to read what
you all have to say when I have more time !...oops
rambling here sorry!.....there are photo's too to see :)

PP 'baby elephant' ( old image) ,chalking/Promarkers and
computerized  sentiment. I used a touch of glamour dust
as always too.

I have made another card but it's being 'flattened'
atm. due to inking and warping lol....I got covered
in ink making that one too. I will show it soon.

ps. Got new glasses at last! I went for varifocals this time.
Lots of squinting and close up peering when I go to the
supermarker as I hate having to keep looking for my
 reading  glasses lol.

I think hearing " For goodness sake  ( or other similar words)
mother put your glasses on" from my children and OH made
me realise I should be wearing  them full time lol.

I am  pleased to report I just love them, & took to them straight
away. I know you either love them or hate them when you
try them at first. I chose blue ones to go with my eyes, just a rim
at the top and clear at the bottom. Ahem and no you aren't going
to see a pic of me with them on !

Although now I can see even more things which need
cleaning in the house and can see DIY bits which still need
 doing too.....oh dear.

OH says a divorce might be pending now I can see
more lol....it so made me laugh that....who is he kidding !
Our daughter has been at the Goodwood revival with
friends and as usual  ( they are always dressing up in  strange
outfits when they get a chance) they got dressed up fifties style.

Here are a few pics of what she looked like. I made a couple into
digi pages ( can't stop making digi stuff now either !) so will
include those too. Notice the errrr PINK phone
box........now who do you think she takes after lol.

Good afternoon friends/bloggers, I hope all is well with
 you all today.

It's Saturday again which means another
'Less is More' challenge once more. This time it's a
colour challenge and ....................................

                         'Dark Green & Rust '

This is what I came up with, come and have a closer
 look, details below card.

I CASed another card of mine  which I made  recently.
It might have been ok for the  challenge  but I felt maybe the
colours weren't quite right.

Anyway  I will add it here below my new one for you to see.

ps. Looks as if the hot Summer days may be over now.
We have put our swimming pool in overwinter mode
 anyway.

Using the larger A4 embossing folders with the Happy Cuts

Hi everyone, just a quick post today. Having just aquired a new
A4 Crafts Too embossing folder I was eager to try it out.

It seems there is an issue regarding which 'sandwich' to use
with the 'Happy Cuts' A4 machine or also the JT ( which is
almost the same apart from colour and the latter has plastic
cogs.)

I found if I used the white A plate , card in A4 folder then two
old Cuttlebug B plates side by side it works perfectly. I believe
the Grand M-Bossability folders can be used the same way too.

I was told the Creative Expressions plate or the Grand Calibur
Raspberry plate may be another option also, but I haven't tried
 them  myself.

So that is my solution to using the new thicker A4 embossing
folders in the Happy Cuts machine.

I hope this info may be of some help to other 'Happy Cuts' users :)

Here is a quick photo of some embossing I did today using this
method and  an A4 Crafts Too embossing  folder.

I didn't use an A4 piece of card but I did put it through
in the middle. As you  can see it works perfectly :)

ps. I will now add this to my older info on the Happy Cuts and the right
'sandwiches to use etc. Link  to it HERE .

Watercolour scene card

Good afternoon everyone, so lovely and warm here again today (24c).
I am loving this fabulous end to our glorious Summer this year.

Right onto my card. Here is another card for this week's
'Less is More' challenge. The theme is............................

"We want you to use a
RUBBER STAMP
In addition if you could use watercolours that would be wonderful!"

Sorry, hard to photograph well as it was a side opening card for a change!

I made another attempt  this time using a Crafters Companion stamp,
Imagine  ( Luscious Landscapes). I stamped on some watercolour paper
and used a cream Linen card base again as it matched better than
 my usual white card.

I cut an aperture using my nesties for a change.

A bit of watercolouring and a Woodware clear magic stamped
 sentiment and job done.

ps. Such a busy but lovely weekend we had, great party too.I
cooked my usual  mountain of food......... our daughter says I cook
 for an army.

My DIL laughed so hard when I asked her if I had made enough
food I thought she would collapse lol.

After most of our guests left in the evening  we went back to the
hotel my SIL and BIL were staying at and had a lovely swim ,
hot tub and sauna.....................utter bliss after my hectic day :)

I hope you all have good weather too have a lovely week  my
friends ! I intend to mostly rest...... and make cards.......and go to
the beach...and get used to my new tablet  ( Nexus...latest version)
when it arrives :)
