Daffodils in a teapot card

Here is another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place' again.
Who says daffodils have to be yellow lol ! I am back to
pink again,.... knew my papaya/peach phase wouldn't last.
I used this gorgeous digi image from Beccy called
'Daffodils in a teapot'. It's such a lovely image, it reminds
me of a  country cottage where this jug of daffs would be
sitting on a  pretty wooden shelf in a window.I coloured the
image using Copics and Promarkers then softly chalked the
background.I added a strip of card behind which I embossed
with my roses folder then softly chalked the roses & leaves too.
Computerized sentiment again softly chalked in pink. I cut the main
card shape using my Nesties ( Curved Rectangles). My craft room
is awash with 'stuff ' today. I had to make a card for a
neighbour yesterday which had to be posted today. I never get
much notice making cards for her. It had to be special  one ,
 for a 50th Anniversary, for a lovely couple too so I hear.Wow 50 years!!
I think she liked what I came up with though which
is the main thing.I will post that card another time, enough to say I
went with simple and classy in the end.Lovely hot weather
here today, I am boiling, 24 C but very humid too, not that I am
complaining !!!! have a great day everyone.
ps. There is always a ps. these days lol. I am now making another
DT card/cards for Beccy and this  new set of flowers/sentiments are amazing.
Can't wait to show you my cards. These will be so handy for so
 many occasions too.

Beach huts card

Here is a card I made a while ago for Chrissie  over at
'My Crafting Heaven'.She asked me if I would like to be a
guest DT and make a card for her using one of her digi
images. I have known Chrissie a long time ( 7yrs?)..... it may
be longer, we both started out making cards at the same
time anyway. So I couldn't say no, esp. when she makes such
lovely digi images. She is so clever.Anyway onto my card,
I am late posting it, sorry Chrissie, been so busy of late.
I asked Chrissie if I could use her 'Beach huts' digi as I
fell in love with it when I saw it. I also fell in love with another
one too lol and she kindly send me that one also, thanks Chrissie.
I will post the card I made with that  at a later date though.
I layered the beach huts image three times edging some of the card
with a matching ink. I used Copics to colour the pretty beach
huts, then 3d'd a little flower from a stamp set I had. I glamour
dusted the huts and the flower.I used some soft chalks
around the image. I embossed a strip of yellow card,
and used a computerized sentiment . Hope you like the card
and please check out all Chrissie's other lovely digi images
HERE.Link below on side bar too btw. Also all the other super
cards her DT team made with this fabulous summery digi HERE
.................................. and Chrissie's  card of course too :)
ps. Been rushing around shopping and cooking for my elderly neighbour
today while she recovers from her op.Managed a quick walk/washing
/steaming floors now I am to make a card for her too , a 50th
Anniversary one for a friend. Will have to check on her later and take
more food etc. Tomorrow is  a big food shop, looking after my
neighbours dog, then babysitting my grandson Alex on Friday.
I promised to make us all a roasted red pepper, onion and goats cheese
tart for us all in the evening too. Not enough hours in the day atm. lol.
Take care everyone whatever you are doing.

Potted Daffodils card

Here is another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place' again.
Such a pretty image, 'Potted Daffodils' I love using flowers
when I make my cards. I coloured the image using
my Promarkers and Copics. Then I 3d'd the flower
heads & added glamour dust to them. The papers are
from Papermania 'Lemon Sorbet', I embossed a piece
of white card too using my swiss dots folder. Computer
generated sentiment , it was edged with yellow and a
matching gem added.Love these sunny colours, we even
saw a bit of sun out today too, wonder if it will last. My
eldest son is biking all around the coast here again  this
weekend. He did it last year too, takes him several days.
My children all seem very sporty I have to say.
I am off to make some pasta now for my poorly neighbour,
she loved the card and flowers I am glad to report. I
think she will be needing some tlc for a while just now.
Have a lovely day everyone :)
ps. I almost forgot to mention if you pop over to Beccy's blog
she has a lovely freebie shoe today.See her June challenge also.

Papaya card, earrings and lots of papaya stuff !

Today I have a lot of Papaya stuff to show you.
I think I am going Papaya mad atm., must be all this
gloomy weather. Can't seem to get out of all my winter
clothing. Anyway first here is my Papaya card, I made it
for my neighbour. She has been in hospital and I
thought it would cheer her up to get a little card to
welcome her home. I also bought her some lilies too as I
know she loves them. She lives alone so I am hoping
it will give her a boost. Back to my card....rambling again
sorry! I used my Pink Petticoat digi papers again,
'Brocade' in Papaya. I made a strip then another
white strip under that embossed with the dotty folder.
Sentiment computer generated, layered with more
PP strip. The leaf part is a bit I snipped off my new
die 'Memory Box, honeysuckle' . Also I made these
pretty papaya and orange flower earrings to go with
some clothes/shoes I bought recently. I fancied something
bright to look more summery as I have been wearing
mostly navy/black recently.Anyway it all started with this
lovely scarf I saw ( see pics below), then I saw these
trousers. Then I saw these shoes lol, well you know
how one thing leads to another ! I won't wear them
all at once, but I like the idea of a white shirt and the
trousers then maybe the shoes too. The earrings I
made to go with the scarf ( bright ones) or paler ones
to go with the trousers/shoes.I think they are a good match.
So glad I am having a change from pink just now, I do buy
a lot of pink stuff. Hope you have enjoyed looking at
all my latest makes/purchases.Have a lovely day everyone.
A big welcome to all my latest followers too, thankyou
 for choosing me to follow.
Also entering this card into Crafty Catz Challenge- 138# Pastel Colours

Ok so these ARE pink, but they match the peachy trousers perfectly strangely enough!
These match the scarf really well too.
The scarf which started it all !
Love these, they fit so well too, need an iron I think though.
Well I just had to get these as they matched so well.
The whole set.
Good colour match I think.

Pretty in pink card

 cfc58
Here is a card I made a while ago.........just because.
Well mainly just because I love love my new Brocade
PP  digi papers. I made a few cards but just sharing this
one today. When I saw the 'CAS-ual Fridays' challenge
this week, which was to make a card 'using something pink'
well........ as I LOVE pink I just had to play along.
So here is my pink card, I used a PP sentiment and also
the Pink Petticoat Brocade digi papers in pink. I added an embossed
panel ( Damask one) and a few clear gems. I was quite pleased
how this card turned out seeing as my mojo has gone walk about
since making these few cards.Have a lovely weekend everyone,
despite all this horrid rain we are having just now.

Lilac butterflies card

It's week 73 over at 'Less is More' and this time
 it's a recipe, which is .................
 'Paper Piecing'
I read that as 'paper piercing' at first lol, must look
more clearly next time ! Luckily I thought of an idea
quite quickly this time, I do hope my mojo has
reappeared. I printed a DSB digi butterfly I have
had for a while now. After chalking that image with
a nice lilac shade I stuck that to the card base.
Then  I printed another butterfly onto a sheet of card.
I had already printed the card with PP 'Washed Damask' lilac
pattern. It's very pale the pattern so not sure it shows
up that well here. Also I glamour dusted it  which hasn't
helped you see it, I do like my glitter though. I used my
circle nesties to cut an aperture in another piece of card.
I then matted and 3d'd  that and 3d'd the paper pieced
butterfly just inside. The stamped sentiment is a
'Jane's script' one. I almost left the first butterfly plain
and I think it may have been a better idea now I look
again. Oh well I will remember that for next time. I
added a couple of clear gems to complete the card.I
spent a good few hours today creating a few new
watermarks  for myself in PSP. Much tearing of
 hair too I fear !!!
ps. See my previous post if you want to see pics of
my daughter climbing Ben Nevis for her 40th birthday !
Also new pics of our lovely grandsons above right too, aren't
 they so cute..........well I suppose I am a tad biased lol.Charlie
has a little bee toy strapped to his wrist which he loves.

Climbing Ben Nevis

My daughter turned 40 on the 11th June ( how did that happen
........ and yes I am far too young to have a 40 year old lol ! ).
Anyway she decided she wanted to climb Ben Nevis to
commemorate the achievement. As it's the highest mountain
in the UK, I suppose it was a great goal and one she will  long
remember. She went with her OH btw.,here are the photo's
she sent me via her phone( quality not that great sorry). She said
their legs were aching afterwards, not surprisingly.Hope you enjoy
seeing all the pics, don't think I will be doing it anytime soon though lol.
They have also climbed Mount Snowden too btw.!

ps.My daughter's OH did the Dakhlar challenge back in March. He went
with his brother ( for his brother's 40th) in their 4x4 landrover called
'Dora the explorer', pic below. They had to buy it very cheaply as part of the rules
then they stripped it and completely rebuilt it, amazing job they did too.
They went over the Atlas mountains, through the Sahara desert , through
to Morocco until they reached Dakhla where they auctioned their Landrover
for charity then flew home.A year of achievements then !

'Dora the explorer' ready for the Dakhla challenge in March

BEN NEVIS
(in Scotland for those who don't know.)

My daughter , not me!!!!

Wow all that snow !, she said it was very busy with
hundreds climbing and everyone encouraging each other .

Hope you have enjoyed seeing all the pics.
ps. See new pics of my lovely grandsons too :)

Quilt puddings card

Here is another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place'.
It's the final card in the quilted set, this digi is
called 'Quilt Puddings'. As you can see it's
a Christmas image. I know a lot of people start their
Christmas cards early so here is a chance to get a
head start. I used a snowflakes embossed panel
then added a plain square edged with green. The
main image was coloured with Promarkers in various
colours. Computerized sentiment edged with green again.
As with all the other quilt digi sets this one comes with
FOUR black and white images and one coloured image.
Check out the previous post to see what they look like.
They are all the same apart from the stars/hearts/puddings.
I think they are all such a bargain price for five images ,
 so please check them out.
Don't forget Beccy's JUNE challenge btw. for a chance to
win some of Beccy's lovely digi's and also Beccy will be
choosing a guest designer for July.

Quilt hearts and quilt stars cards

Here are more DT cards for 'Beccy's Place' again.
Beccy has made some really pretty digi images here yet again.
I think these would be suitable for males or females, which
is always handy. The first card is made using the 'Quilt hearts'

digi image. I had fun colouring this image with my trusty Promarkers.
In shades of pink and blue this time, using my nesties,( plain squares &
lacey squares). Computerized sentiment.Dp was Papermania Collosal
paper pack 'Pastel', I thought it matched the hearts really well.
The second card was using Beccy's 'Quilt hearts' digi again, but plain ones
this time. I liked the 'love' bit in the middle. That  Beatles song
'All you need is Love' kept running through my mind as I made it lol.
So of course it gave me inspiration for the  computerized sentiment .
Dp was Papermania again ( same set but dotty paper ).I
decided on shades of yellow and green this time, not used that
combo before I think . I raised one heart up on a 3d pad  and
glittered it and also added a clear gem on the love bit.
My last card today was made using the 'Quilt stars' digi image.
These are so versatile to use I am finding , suitable for a male, female
,a child, and so many occasions. I coloured the image using shades
of lilac and pale turquoise. Dp same set as before but stars this time,
I think they went really well with the images, must use this Dp again.
I glittered the 'for you' wording. You get four different black and
white images and a coloured one for each of these sets.
I am just showing two of the Heart ones here & one of the Star ones.
What a great bargain, they all look amazing too.
A very big welcome to all of my latest followers btw.,
thankyou so much for following me :)

Ooops sorry this card went missing for a while!

Here are the four black and white images plus
a coloured version, (copyrighted  here of course).
Just so you can see how great they all are.
These are just the heart ones
but the others have a similar choice.
